  1. Previous owner supposedly used it to haul his band around. I'll be the first to use it as a tow vehicle. Now I just need to get a trailer.
  2. Pics! http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92353
  3. Here it is! 1991 Ford E-350 based Ambulance. Comes with everything but the Stinger, including a fridge and mini microwave. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5065/5697260467_5d7575f5d1_b.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5263/5697836316_9a9f5814af_b.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2704/5697837248_8622c34531_b.jpg I forgot to take pics of the inside, I'll get around to them eventually.
  4. Miata. Stock Miata= Chick car. Modified Miata = One hellaciously fun sports car. Just bookmark http://www.flyinmiata.com/ and have a blast.
  5. It's at Hatfield. I'd need a ride from ZB's (Sigmatec) to there.
  6. I will. It's still sitting at the dealership until I can get someone to drive it to where I'll be keeping it.
  7. Well, they turned down my original offer of $3K. So I walked. But I was constantly thinking "That would have been so cool!" I swung by the dealership last weekend and it was still there. So I dropped by today and asked if they would reconsider, and they said yes! So I now have a diesel Ambulance with either a crap-load or a fuck-ton of miles to use as a tow vehicle. :fuckyeah: Left front tire is zebra-striped and there's a shake at 65mph. Fuel gauge doesn't work. Washer doesn't spray, but might just be empty. There's a hitch receiver, but I didn't see a socket, so I'll have to wire it. AC doesn't work, will try to recharge it. Rides nice, runs nice, has a fridge and micro-microwave, a padded bench I can sleep on, and tons of storage for my tools. So a little TLC here and there and I will have an Epic Tow Rig.
  8. Public services suck at managing money, town governments suck at managing money, state governments suck at managing money, and the federal government sucks at managing money. If someone in charge of our money actually handles it properly, it'd be a mindblowing event.
  9. If it's over 100K, make sure the timing belt has been done. Check for headgasket leaks. Listen for wheel bearing noise. Otherwise, they're pretty solid. Non turbo subies don't usually get as abused, and there are less power mods, so used reliability is very good. I think the interiors are fine. Not too much hard plastic, and everything is within easy reach. But I also don't feel the need for wood inlays or other interior bling, so to each their own.
  10. Though I feel I should point out, I'd rock the VW in the OP without a second thought. I hope the fact that I think it looks good doesn't put MKV Aaron off VWs.. :gabe:
  11. Fugly is better than boring. :fuckyeah: The funny part is that Subaru styling is like a fungus. It'll grow on you if you give it half a chance.
  12. One of the comments: "Not insured?" Yeah, because Allstate will just drop off another one-of-250 car by the end of the week. Kudos to the ingenuity. I'm sure that was a spur-of-the-moment stroke of genius.
  13. To return to WRC, Subaru would have to develop a 1.6 inline 4cyl engine, and come up with a model that's smaller than the Impreza (Fiesta/mini sized). Both would have to be developed from scratch and sold. Not going to happen. However, there are still Subarus in the other classes (Group N, etc). The new Impreza should help that effort however as it's lighter than the current model.

    Dear Obama

You don't think those other countries want proof as well?
  15. Lots of in-jokes I'm just not getting. Must be what XKCD is like to non-nerds.
  16. Looks interesting. Not sure if I'll see it in theaters though.
  17. I may have to pick up CoD for this...
  18. edit: n/m, it's a known shoop that's been around before all this. Still, cool thing he's worm food. 'bout time.
  19. Pull their trailer up on ramps?
  20. Those are not mutually exclusive. MA has front plates and unmarked cruisers of any make or model.
  21. Good to know. I think I might tackle this tomorrow.
  22. Love that car. It's what the Mercialago should have been. Smaller, lighter, more nimble. I really hope it lives up to its promise.
  23. If I was worried about being crippled by the cost of gas, I'd drive some small FWD econobox and slowly slit my wrists in boredom as I drove it. But what I am upset about is all the other people that pay for gas to make things that I depend on. It takes gas to till the field more to plant it more to fertilize more to apply pest control more to water more to harvest more to haul more to process more to haul again more to process into something else more to haul it again to the supermarket Every penny that oil goes up impacts the cost of products many times during it's trip from start to finish. Not just farm goods, but every product. Then add in materials costs, and the increase in costs this has on those materials. It's easy to see why oil prices skyrocketing can cause big issues. THAT'S what I'm worried about. The economy took it's massive dump a while bck when gas hit $4/gal. It's not hard to see that happening again. Costs are going up which means profits will be down.
  24. Looks like Verizon got their act back together. My phone switched to 4G automatically, even with the change I posted above. So it looks like that won't force 3G. Oh well.
