  1. Cover your kid's eyes! Run for cover! Do not stand within 100 yards of my car. It has no front plate! Seems a meter maid (male) felt that the streets need to be safer from cars without front plates. :fuuuu:
  2. Except for that antenna thing... Oh and the proprietary software... There's the distinct lack of 4G on the iPhone too, but who cares about that in a thread about a 4G phone? Three cheers for mediocrity! By the way, my phone works fine. I actually find it a good thing that I have OPTIONS to play with to adjust how my phone behaves rather than having the manufacturer say: "Here's your phone, thanks for your money, you'll use it the way we say or not at all." So why are you shitting in this thread?
  3. Verizon's 4G is down and 4G phones are being forced into 1x mode. But there is a fix to force 3G. The cool thing is that this will likely work for people who want a longer battery life too. Bring up the phone and enter ##778# then dial A menu will pop up. Choose Edit Mode It will ask for a password. Enter 000000 (six zeroes) A settings screen will come up. Choose Modem Settings On the next screen choose Rev.A Select Enable Then hit your phone menu and Commit. After the reboot, it will show 1X then change to 3G after a moment.
  4. Looks like you're riding the brakes the whole way.
  5. Cooked for you: Graffiti Burger You cook: Bubba's Burgers (Kroger sells them) Just follow the directions. Don't care if this is a joke thread. Burgers is serious business! :fuckyeah:
  6. WTF is with twister-esque wording of the results. "X is ##% more prone to be less likely to overly under-achieve a negative positive?" Sounds more like this was made to start fights than convey facts.
  7. I love how, when the house opens up, it seals the driveway from the living area so there's still a level of protection against the outside world. I want that house. Nothing says "Fuck off, world!" like living in a concrete bunker with all the amenities.
  8. Holy shit, I didn't even notice Godzilla... :lolguy: My brain said: Green = Trees, BOOBIES!
  9. I can see this if they are being replaced due to a front-end collision. But wear and pet damage shouldn't need the whole system replaced. I'd see if I could find the law in question and check if it meant only for collision replacement.
  10. No surprise on the Colorado. Worst engineered vehicle I've ever driven. From bumper to bumper it's crap. The only thing positive is the steering. But not because it's good, but because it's the only thing they didn't mess up.
  11. Looks like someone sold their panda C5. There's one sitting at KD Motors in Grandview, waiting to be cleaned up for sale. It has the old C5 rims that appear to be painted black. I'm not sure if it was from someone here since KD gets a lot of their stuff from auctions, but I figured someone here might be interested.
  12. This anime is a good zombie series. The zombies are done well, and there are some nods to the zombie greats in the past. But yeah, even as anime goes, there are a lot of boobs. Not a bad thing, but they can get distracting. Well worth the watch. Oh, and among all the uses for big boobs, apparently they make a stable shooting platform too.
  13. The problem with KERS is that they can use it any time they want. There are optimal points on the track to use it, and everyone will use it there. The only good spot to pass on most tracks is turn 1, which is at the end of a long straight. So every car always keeps some power in reserve for the last corner to get the best run down the front straight. And halfway down the front straight, everyone gets a recharge. So everyone's equalized, passing is no easier than without KERS. Opening up the DRS for the entire track will just do the same thing and passing will disappear again. What I would like to see is the DRS enabled for all long straights. So tracks like the last two which have both a back and front straight would have two DRS zones. That would give cars that are passed a chance to get the position back. It would have a double benefit by making KERS more relevant. The drivers would have to balance using it to defend on the back straight against having it available for the final corner and the front straight. Do they allow the pass on the back straight in hopes of having the power to overtake on the front? Or do they try to fight off the DRS car and continue the fight to the start/finish line? The problem with F1 is that they are pushing the limits of physics with these cars. So despite all of the difference in the cars, it means they are all very close in performance. There just isn't enough leeway to make passing a common occurance. So the FIA has to create differences in the cars so passing is possible. The moveable wing and how it's regulated in the race is a stroke of genius. Unfortunately, it's a sledgehammer fix for a scalpel problem. But it's working and just needs to be refined.
  14. Finally watched the race. Wow. Great job by Hammy, but Webber made everyone look like chumps. Incredible. Vettel did a great job too. But Adrian Newey and Red Bull Renault is still a dominating combination technically, with Vettel and Webber being two of the best drivers out there. The other teams need to work double-time right now. When Red Bull gets the bugs worked out of their KERS system, they are going to be unstoppable. So far I'm enjoying this year a lot. The different tires, the moveable rear wing, KERS, everything is adding up to make things a lot more exciting. I can't wait to see what the rest of the season will bring.

  16. I have Speed HUD on my 'bolt, but I prefer Ulysse Speedometer. Both work well. I've used the speedometer on my Garmin GPS for a long time to monitor my speed in my various cars. OEM speedos are rarely accurate and with all of the sets of tires I have, it's good to be sure of my speed.
  17. THere's a small boat with a water pump that is towed behind by the tube. It's about half the size of a jetski. Here's the real bad news though. Only 70 will be made at first, and each is being sold for almost $100k. But yeah.. I want one.
  18. Yes it has. But most people don't realize. Really, this has been going on since the invention of makeup.

  20. To be fair, the light they use on the actual model is designed specifically to enhance imperfections in skin.
  21. The funny thing is everyone thinks the old cars are safer because they're "made of steel, not plastic."
