  1. I have an odd issue with my back. I don't have any real pain, just a small almost unnoticeable twinge in my lower spine. But if I twist a certain way, it almost feels like one of the discs in my lower back isn't there. It's like the bones are just sliding against each other. Which makes no sense considering the lack of pain. But it does make me worry. Should I see a doctor with x-rays and all, or does this seem like something a chiropractor could diagnose? I'm thinking I should have this checked before the racing season starts this year. RallyCross is anything but a smooth ride. Thanks
  2. Actually, you will still find stuff like this on the 'Ring. However, there is less overturning since today's cars are much more stable. But the junk-filled and people-filled cars, and drivers without helmets, you'll still find. The reason is that the 'Ring is considered a toll road without a speed limit as far as legality goes. You're responsible for your own safety and any damage you do while driving on it. If you want to drive around in a shit-filled econobox with no helmet or seatbelt, you can. On most days, you can literally just drive up in whatever you're in, pay a fee, and go drive around the 'Ring. Just don't go crying to the track owners if you get flung off the Carosel and get maimed.
  3. Crap, I always miss this. Is it going through this weekend?
  4. Euros can't drift? I think I saw a whole family in a couple of those cars.
  5. So.. If I want to beat the hell out of someone, I just have walk up behind him and attack him when he's not expecting it and I can't be arrested because he didn't SEE me hit him? Wow, I should start making a list of people I want to hit upside the head with a 2x4.
  6. I think I'll reserve judgement until I see pictures of the actual car. A carbon fiber blanket with stickers of lights on it draped over a tube frame and econobox tires isn't enough to make me interested.
  7. I have to go with this. Their cultures are alien to ours. Our templates are not going to fit them, and making them fit (as they are trying to do) is going to cause a LOT of internal pressures both cultural and political which will eventually explode. This has already happened, and will happen again.
  8. One of these days, one of the male protesters is going to lean forward, believing he's righteous and can hide behind the church's lawyers, and poke one of those bikers in the chest. At that point, no one will be able to stop the killing of that protester and probably a few others. The police will run in to try and break it up, but they will likely take their time. A few of the bikers will be arrested. The church's lawyers will get them sent to prison. The bikers will be treated like kings there, and let out in a few years on good behavior.
  9. I'm sorry, but we don't deliver to damaged or improperly placed mailboxes, and this one is clearly not at the appropriate height.
  10. Same here. Though I've got a small apartment. I realized I was a lot colder than normal and saw that my apt was about 6 degrees colder than it usually is. Though, personally, I blame the crappy construction. This place bleeds heat like crazy. Snow will melt on the ground within 4" of the outer wall.
  11. It's been tried before by a few different companies, one of which was Microsoft. If M$ can't get a universal login/ID to become a standard on the internet, no one can.
  12. I was going to comment on the mullet but thought "Hey, it's a drag racing movie. If they didn't have a mullet, people would complain and ask where the mullets were."
  13. I'll forgive them their choice in music since this isn't a FnF or NASCAR movie. Looks interesting.
  14. Glad to see you climbing back into an STI. It'll look sharp. My Leggy is DGM and it looks great in the sun. Almost gun-metal in certain light.
  15. And five times that many about drag racing. This is a good vid. I'm glad he linked it.
  16. PM Thorne. He got cases of rattle-cans from Duplicolor for his WRX.
  17. Are you 6 inches tall? Or were these pics taken after an all-night bender? Middle pic looks like a Mercury Maurader btw.
  18. Because people would rather pay $1000 fixing a problem 5 times over a year than $300 to do it right the first time. To them, they think they're just paying $200 each time. People like the "customer" above are the same with computers. It's one reason why I don't fix PCs any more. I'm through fixing other people's screwups. They can go figure it out on their own like I did.
  19. I'd do it just for S&Gs. So I guess I'd vote for $100. But then I'd probably only be there for one day. (have a one-day fee?) If it became a regular thing, I might get a little more involved down the road. (no pun intended)
  20. Do they come in right and left rotations? Otherwise, on one side of your car, the rims will look like they're are rotating forward, while on the other side they'll look like they are rotating backwards.
  21. Hmm, just thinking about angles... My bumper is hollow and my fender liners are cut back some.. I think I might try a wheel-well shot to watch the suspension work. That would be cool.
