  1. Nice wheels but too pricey for me.
  2. From that thread: http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r580/ssv22/photo21.jpg http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r580/ssv22/photo22.jpg http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r580/ssv22/photo20.jpg I'll be shooting for matte and adding 15 or 20mm spacers too.
  3. OK, I know I said I wasn't going to do it, but I think I'll bring it out to the AutoX fun event on the 19th. Should be interesting throwing a 3800lb car around. As a side note, these are the current wheels at the top of my list: http://www.velocitymotoring.com/images/wheels/faceup/thumbnails/V713-SM.jpg in matte gunmetal.
  4. I am blind apparently. Jones sells off 2/3 of his Audi stable and the world didn't implode? I'm stunned.
  5. Yeah, all you have to worry about is whether to take the Audi, the Audi, or the Audi.
  6. I'm sure I'm not the only one here with multiple cars. In fact, wasn't that a requirement of CR membership? :lolguy: I've brought everything I've owned since moving out here to C&C at one point or another. Including the pos RS I have now, the amberlamps, and my RallyX WRX when it looked like it had been in an accident. As for passing the test.. I did get delivery of my car in the center of MAG's Audi showroom. :gabe:
  7. Which car to bring... Since the piece de resistance isn't on the BRZ, I may bring the S5..
  8. I won't flog the car during break-in, but I don't baby it either. Once everything's up to temp, I'll get on it and stretch its legs.
  9. Got to play in a couple today. It's surprisingly nimble and composed for a 3800lb car. Once I get more comfortable with it and it's out of break-in I'll start flogging it more. The DSG isn't as bad as I initially feared. In regular Drive mode, especially with the comfort throttle, it's just like every slush-box I've cursed to hell. But with the Dynamic throttle and set to Sport or Manual mode, it responds like a manual which goes a LONG way to making this car liveable for me. Manual gearshifting is fun and I'm getting better at driving around town with the paddles. I do need to get some extensions though. Exhaust is looking more and more certain. I really like the AWE exhaust design, but it's hella-pricey if I don't want any drone. And considering the nature of the DSG, the AWE is likely the only exhaust I'll be happy with. CCW wheels are out. I don't like the profiles they use. I'm eyeballing BC Racing wheels at the moment..
  10. Looked up some pics of CCW wheels.. Not a fan of the profile..
  11. Just made my introduction post. I'll post as soon as they approve me.
  12. It was very cool. Flattering that my car sat where the R8 was. I just signed up on AZ and I'm poking around it now. I'll check out those options and see what I come up with. I'll check out the other sites too. Thanks.
  13. Is Audizine the better US forum? Seems there are a lot of half-used Audi forums out there. I wasn't sure if the Showroom Delivery was normal or not. It was really cool. :fuckyeah: I need to make a list of VAG-COM changes I want to make.
  14. The T1000 is nice, but I think I want a split spoke for this car.
  15. Talked to CCW.. Lead time's only 3-4 weeks apparently. I was talking to a friend who was expecting a set in Feb, not sure why he was waiting.. Also looks like I'd end up with a 2" lip all around too.. Might look pretty good..
  16. These won't be concave. CCW's wheels have a pretty much set face. They just locate it further in or out. The SP510 has an option for a 1" or 2" lip. Then I think they mill the mating surface to get the proper offset.
  17. Don't get too excited. No polished lip for me.
  18. The manual says they turn on depending on the outside temp. I defrosted my windshield and rear window and still had foggy mirrors on the drive to work.
  19. I am warming up to the CCW SP510. It's the production time I'm not to happy about.. I think they're about 4 months out. Edit: In Comp Grey or Satin pewter
  20. Mine already does. I would like to shut off the DRL "wink". I'll have to figure out what the rest of the mods do and see what I want done. The heated mirrors are kind of a mystery though.. I'm also having the sales guy trying to figure out if I was supposed to get the cargo net for the trunk or not.. I got the silly ski bag, but no net.
  21. Barely any 19s there, and the ones there are either "baller" looking or cheap shit. Enkei is a quality brand. They don't need a german sounding name, gratuitous machining, or a massive price tag to fit the car. The BBS CH-R is still on the table. I just have to decide if going to the narrower wheel will look bad or not.
  22. Still am. Just had some money saved up and got frustrated enough at the last couple used cars I've had to want to treat myself to something nice and reliable. I'm really not a fan of these wheels. They spin forwards on one side of the car and backwards on the other. And they look kinda chunky. I was thinking of getting a set of BBS CH-R but they're 1/2" narrower than these, putting the face 9mm inwards between width and offset. At least the Enkeis will push the face outwards a touch. I haven't finished shopping yet, but I'm thinking there aren't many options with Audi's oddball bolt pattern.
  23. It's more of a Primary car.
