  1. Anyone familiar with this company? They're making an exhaust for the BRZ/FR-S that sounds pretty good. I'm kind of leaning towards them at the moment. Oh.. just dug a bit deeper. Are they the ones that built the "Jamie's Supra" you guys are always drooling over?
  2. June 30th at NTR lot C (The big white barn across the street). Registration is open on MotorsportReg.com. Any questions, PM me. Direct Link QR for any major geeks: http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=qr&chs=180x180&chld=L&choe=UTF-8&chl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.motorsportreg.com%2Findex.cfm%2Fevent%2Fevent.advert%2FuidEvent%2F4B1403C4-0DBC-04F1-9FDCFFBF108344B0
  3. Well that's not an issue with mine, thankfully. No condensation and the panel gaps look fine. I'll double check the gaps when I wash the car next, but I think I would have noticed gaps with 1/4" variance.
  4. Going to miss another.. 7/7 is in the plan. I'll bring the BRZ and save the STI for another event if I need to bring the smack down.
  5. The FR-S ad BRZ are assembled on the same line and all the effected panels are the same, so it's a possibility. First Year Problems. LOL
  6. Yup, Moto-P on FT86Club has Tada's ear. Very handy link to have. The panel gap issue hasn't cropped up on FT86Club yet, which I find odd. I'll look over my car, but I'm pretty sure there are no ill fitting panels.
  7. It's not really the axles to worry about, unless you do something silly with the rear camber. But the suspension geometry goes to hell after about 1" of drop and it becomes difficult to control the alignment. Of course when people slam the car like that they tend to have such stiff suspensions that nothing moves enough to mess with the alignment. *shrug* Not my thing.
  8. They are probably taken, but I saw both a Red and a Blue Limited BRZ at Byers Mazda Subaru today.
  9. Stock wheels + Plastidip = http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r1/swizzleswirl/IMG_0995.jpg
  10. Well, here's the fitment. These are the same tires (235/40-17 Yoko AD08) and the rims are the same size and offset (17x8+42). Can't wait to get my rims! Pics are stolen from FT86Club: Now imagine that in black, with the WedsSports, and lowered about 1" (-30mm F / -20mm R)
  11. The BRZ actually has a noticeable level of tint already. I was surprised. I think I'll stick with 50% on the sides and 35% on the rear. That combo has worked well for me in the past and I don't have to worry about having to tear off my expensive tint if a cop feels like making a point. I hope A2Z does exterior tint also. I want to get some dark smoke tint on the stupid orange marker lights and I forgot to ask..
  12. Increasing the scrub radius can reduce steering feel making it heavier on-center. It wouldn't have been overly bad, the STI has the same change in offset (+40 vs +53), but there are certain aspects to increasing the scrub radius that I don't want on the BRZ.
  13. Well, they aren't hella flush... Those are 17x8+48, so essentially stock offset, but 1" wider. He also put the stock tires back on them. :dumb: Mine should be 6mm out more and with 20mm wider tires. That should fill the fenders more. I could get +35s to fit, but I didn't want to change the steering feel too much.
  14. Well, I'm happy I didn't pull the trigger on the OZ Alleggeritas. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f183/mindspark/mybrz.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f183/mindspark/mybrz2.jpg The gold doesn't help, but the design would have bothered me to no end.
  15. There are tricks to it, I'm sure. I don't want a half-assed job done, and I'm sure that's just what I'd get if I were to try and do it.
  16. If you do get that done to the windshield, let me know please. I'm curious about how bad the distortion would be.
  17. ^^for those confused about my intentions with this thread. But $500, on a supercharged BRZ? I just might.
  18. From what I understood, tint manufacturers went from the metal based tints to the ceramics to avoid those specific issues. Though I've never encountered them in my STI.
  19. Thank you for the A2Z recommendations. I had completely forgotten about them. Called them up and they scheduled an appointment for this Sat. One thing I find curious, this is the second tinter that tried to talk me out of the Ceramic tint and into a cheaper option. Anyone know why?
  20. So Automotive Appearance Pros is only open while I work. Quality Window Tint is booking appointments in mid JULY. Someone would make a KILLING if they worked evenings/weekends. What other companies are reliable and have a good product? I don't want a dyed film. Got that on the Legacy and it was a waste of money. I'd like a good ceramic based tint. Mr.Tint seems to use the metal based tint which I have on the STI, but the BRZ has keyless entry and I don't want that to go screwy. Not to mention Mr. Tint's website looks like it was made by a highschooler who aspires to become a tattoo artist. I've also had The Tint Dude recommended to me, but that website is even worse and rife with misspellings. So any help would be appreciated. I'd rather not wait until mid July if I can avoid it. But if that's the only way to get it done properly with good product, then I will. Thanks
  21. Here's another diesel doing bad things to a dyno. -24hp apparently...
  22. Actually I was thinking of a firebird for the hood and WS6 badges. :gabe: There's also a LOT of LED strips for sale here for work...
