  1. Saw him do a Q&A at OSU a couple of years ago, had some books autographed. Hilarious guy; great storyteller. RIP.
  2. I have a buddy whose car was just stolen earlier this year. Their insurance company required that the car be missing for 30 days, then they would write it off. As it happened, his car was recovered on day 28 or thereabouts, and had been pretty badly abused. The insurance company had the entire interior reconditioned, and they actually did a perfectly fine job. Like it never happened.

  4. I'll agree it's pretty attractive; I felt the same way when I saw the early photos after the auto show. But I doubt it would be much fun - it's on a Prius chassis, I believe, so it would be like driving a vacuum cleaner.
  5. I believe the "x" designated all-wheel drive, and was only available in the sedan. The coupes have an optional G37s, though...
  6. So they are dual-drilled, then?
  7. Those are 4x108, which is a relatively rare pattern. It's mostly a Ford thing; the Focus and Contour use it. My XR4Ti does, too. Earlier 4-lug Mustangs do as well.
  8. OEM performance FTW. ST200's all day. • Sell your old ones to some ricer kid • ??? • Profit!
  9. That's a beautiful thing. Wheels are perfect. Nice work!
  10. The Lucas is designed to work on wet surfaces, too; so you can spray it on as you dry for really nice results.
  11. I just bought a bottle at AutoZone today. $4.99 for a small one, $8.99 for a large one. I bought the large size, based on the recommendations here.
  12. I'm a CCAD grad as well. I'm pretty busy, but I know lots of comic book illustrators - it's my "other" job, actually.
  13. It was kind of weak, but it was indeed just HARROWING to watch. It did stick with me for a bit, in spite of the annoyances.
  14. ...but then anyone who buys a Porsche for its quarter-mile time needs to have their head examined.
  15. The Cayman is a hardtop Boxster. And a better car in every respect. Although I'll tell ya, a friend of mine took me for a ride in his Boxster S, and it was pretty awesome. You can't beat the balance and grip of those things.
  16. I normally use the Meguiar's as well, but I have had good results with the Mothers' "Showtime" quick detailer.
  17. I always liked the first-gen 3-door models. Not too keen on the 5-doors, hate the sedans, and hate anything built after 2004. Next year's model should be really pretty great, though, especially if they bring SVT back into the development process. My 3-door: http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n188/bennett9000/SVT/focus5.jpg
  18. I have one; an 03. Peaky powerband, high redline, corners like a demon. It has about 85k miles on it now, original clutch, and is pretty solid all around. Excellent brakes. Needs a bigger sway bar in the back - it rolls a little more than I like. But it's really an exceptional Focus - for what that's worth. No Sentra or Celica of similar vintage can ever compare, really. The SVT team doesn't mess around. It's the wife's daily driver.
  19. Car looked great! Glad it wasn't stopped for a moving violation...
  20. Saw a CLEAN dark grey FD apparently pulled over by the CPD on Wilson Road at I-70 last week - or maybe it was broken (it was nearly blocking an intersection...). Who was it?
  21. I see a red FD pretty much every morning on 270 in Worthington on my morning commute. Very clean, stock-looking specimen; the guy apparently daily-drives it; even in the snowstorms last month.
  22. I used a freeware app called "Split & Concat". You should be able to find it on VersionTracker.
  23. Do you have any Saturday spots? Or should I try to get in during the week?

    Post your pets

Little hellions: http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n188/bennett9000/321278017_l.jpg Luna on the left, Moby on the right. Moby is 9 now; Luna is 7. We got them from a really good breeder in eastern PA near Philadelphia. They were both show dogs until they were about 3, but we just didn't have the time and energy and money to travel as much as you must to have a successful show dog. So they are house pets now. http://www.wideopenwest.com/~bullistic/misc/moby2.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n188/bennett9000/558783663_l.jpg
  25. I got back 20 gigs of HD space on my Mac Mini after upgrading. Bench tests show it is running quicker now as well.
