  1. I would assume before the crossover, so it would be more like true open headers, but I am not for sure.......maybe after so you could take advantage of the exhaust scavenging benefits of the crossover. I guess I'm not much help at all.
  2. I think you should a 2.5 turbo swap, I always thought those vans were pretty unique. I have a video of a woodie Voyager smokin' a C5 Vette. I think it (the van) ran a 12.1 in the 1/4. There's nothing wrong with a 3.0, they just love to drop exhaust valve guides and then proceed to fog out entire neighborhoods....
  3. Agreed, I don't have kids but I don't ever recall my parent's vehicles looking like that. However, I know of some people who don't have kids and their car looks like that or worse. Some people just don't give a shit if they have to ride around in dirty, smelly car.
  4. You're correct sir, I was just basing my statement on Chrysler built vehicles, (since we were talking about a Caravan) not the ones built by Mitsu and sold w/Chrysler badging.
  5. I have the 1993 factory (produced by Chrysler) service manual right in front of me, they say it isn't. I guess Chrysler was wrong when they made their manual and Haynes was right. My bad. You might want to get a more reliable source than a Haynes manual, there's a reason most shops have Alldata, Mitchell, etc.
  6. Chrysler (Mitsubishi) 3.0 is not an interference engine, I've owned and worked on countless vehicles with this engine. Just FYI.
  7. Yeah definitely get a hold of these people. I had a buddy (I use that term loosely) screw me on this a few years back, somehow the title ended up saying zero which isn't what it said when I gave it to him. Fortunately he called me once they called him.
  8. Cool, that's kind of what I was guessing, but wasn't for sure. Do you (or anyone else) know what the torque spec on the nut is (and the turning torque spec)??
  9. Nothing like pissing off a bunch of people who worship your product. This is like exchanging positive publicity for some negative......sounds about as smart as buying some Ford stock.
  10. You should put the Enkei's on there.............
  11. It's nice to see that you disassemble the car before painting on it (mouldings, mirrors, etc). I have always been big on doing that whenever I spray anything, I can't stand seeing trim with paint on it. Looks great! (BTW, I paint in open air too, and I think I've turned out some pretty nice stuff, people just don't understand sometimes I guess...)
  12. So what are you going to run now, the big and littles or something else??
  13. I have an 03 S10 4x4 pickup. It needs the pinion seal replaced in the front axle. My question is am I going to run into a crush sleeve or anything of that nature, or do I just remove the pinion yoke, replace the seal, and retorque the nut? Also, does anyone know what the torque should be? Thanks for any help in advance.
  14. If it has a power module and a logic module like Dave said, then it should have a check engine light....
  15. Can't say it much better than that....
  16. Yeah, I've been around cars for a little while anyway, just not on here
  17. I had a Daytona that had a similar problem, ended up being a broken wire inside the insulation(the wire from the computer to the FP relay) by looking at it you couldn't tell, found it with a meter. I know that most (not all) had an ASD relay (auto shutdown) and if these were bad, the FP wouldn't run.
  18. Were they still using ESC's on this year?? If so, it might be bad. BTW, I've had bad modules test good several times at AZ and Advance.
  19. I know they are mechanically way different, I was being sarcastic........
  20. If the LS1 was a Ford based engine like that one guy said, why didn't Ford use an engine like this? Take an 02 Trans Am LS1=310 HP. An 02 Mustang 4.6=260HP. Even a 4v 4.6 is still less than the LS1. It seems to me if this was Ford's technology, then they wold be using it. And that looks like way too much of hassle, it would be much easier to just buy a good set of heads and be done with it, IMHO.
  21. An aircraft mechanic with an associates doesn't do too bad, especially after a couple of years. That's what I've been doing for 4 years now.
  22. Third shifter here, 9:00 PM to 7:30AM, Sunday-Wednesday
