  1. Wow, I see it's made in North Carolina. That will be deviating from Wal-Mart's current strategy of selling Chinese-made garbage.
  2. I'm with 360, as long as you have a good schematic of your car and take your time, it really isn't bad at all. The first time I did my own, I spent 2 afternoons doing it, but I definitely wasn't in a hurry. If you can't find the wiring info for your car let me know, I have a book specifically for installers that tells what color and where the wires are that you'll need.
  3. Dave and Derek get my vote, just be on the lookout for the moon...
  4. +1 for Dave's Sunbird with glasspacks, also a V6 F-body with a Flowmaster 80 series.
  5. I had a 2000 CFM Mr. Gasket fan on my '51, it has a '97 Dodge EFI 360, and in stock trim, that setup is good for 230 HP. Mine has some mods, nothing crazy, but its definitely more powerful than stock, probably 30-40 HP more). I never had any overheating issues, even sitting in traffic in the middle of July. The Mr. Gasket finally bit the dust, so I upgraded to a Permacool rated at 2,950 CFM. Haven't had it out in any kind of warm weather yet, but I'm sure it'll be even better. Like Dave said, free is free, if it doesn't work, just sell it.
  6. I'm not even sure if a cow could produce that! Gross!
  7. I got one that was well into the four digit range, however, after Uncle Sam took 40%, it was back down in the three digit range. Definitely better than nothing, so I am happy.
  8. Had a bad pinion bearing do this in my TA, worse when you would let off the gas, but it was only at high speeds (70+). Not sure if this is an issue in Fords or not though..
  9. Well here's some pics of the Plymouth, I don't have any of the TA on my comp. so I'll have to take some. Its a bit snowy outside, so those will have to wait. Probably wouldn't be able to see it very well anyway, considering it's Arctic White. 10. Dave and I have been to Astro many times, practically all of the used parts on my TA came from there. Prices are usually pretty good, but if he knows he has something rare, you're going to pay for it. His hours used to be 2-6, 7 days a week, but they may have changed since then. He also has a lovely dutch-boy haircut.
  11. TPI conversion, along with heads and cam for the TA. Maybe a new 3rd member for the 51. The bone stock 56 year old posi 3.90 is starting to whine a bit on coast.....
  12. Hey everyone, my name is Matt. Dave (gas, grass, or ass)has been trying to get me to join here for years, so I finally did. My garage houses a 1951 Plymouth coupe with a fuel injected 360 Magnum (restored and somewhat fast, I guess you could say it would surprise most), and a 1988 Trans Am (completely restored but slow). I'll try to get some pics here soon.
