  1. And then if your Dave and your Sunbird's engine unknowingly had 5 quarts of oil in it when it was upside down on a stand, you may want to warn the entire city before you start it.............
  2. Pick n pull had a 92 or 93 Fox convert. yesterday when I was there....I'm pretty sure it had a gray interior.
  3. Looking for a set of 94-95 GSR wheels or 99-00 Civic SI wheels for my daily driver Civic. Two of the current four steelies are almost square from New York roads, so I figured I'd upgrade. They don't need to be perfect, but I'd like them to be at least a 7.5-8 out of 10. Thanks.
  4. Is the flexplate/flywheel hanging up on the upper edge of the bellhousing? I've had that happen sometimes where the front of the trans needs to be raised up a little bit. Also, if it's an auto trans, you do have the TC unbolted, right?
  5. Jim's Trim in Whitehall. They do great work and the prices are reasonable.
  6. I can't you believe you asked Tom if you could work that day instead of coming to the wedding......... BTW, congrats Dave.
  7. After seeing that movie (multiple times), I've always wanted one of those. Have fun with it!
  8. Check Jim's Trim in Whitehall, they just did a bench seat bottom for my K10 and it matches the seat back perfectly. The price was reasonable as well.
  9. Congrats, that's the exact schedule I work and I love it. I get off Thursday morning and don't have to be back to work until Sunday night. It's almost like having a 4 day weekend. It's way better than the Friday-Monday that I used to work a few years ago. I felt just like you did, definitely a huge change for the better.
  10. +1 for the pool table and beer dispensing equipment.........
  11. It's probably really light with no gas tank.....................
  12. Like all of these guys said, oem pump is the way to go. Don't waste your money on a junk Master pump, which is pretty much what everyone carries, and definitely don't buy one on ebay.
  13. Call Astro Auto parts. Its north of Granville. I bought quite a few parts for my TA from him, he had a lot of thirdgen parts. The dude keeps some wierd hours, but IIRC they are 2-6, Mon-Sat. The number should be in the phone book.
  14. Sounds like every time I've had an alternator go bad. I'd get the alternator and battery checked, and also check your battery terminals and any connections on the alternator. Stick to the simplest things first.
  15. I had a dual Carter setup on my Plymouth for years when it still had the flathead. It would start and run even if the carbs weren't synced. It did however, run much better when I used the synchronizer guage on them and got it tweaked just right.
  16. I bought some various steel items a year or so ago from a place I think was called All American. They should be in the yellow pages. I called several places and they had the best price. You could also try Suburban Steel, but I think they might only sell to contractors.
  17. I am just a DIY painter, but I have been told this by more than one person and found it to be very true. My Trans Am is 40-50% flexible parts and I was planning on using this until I was told it wasn't necessary. After several years of driving and many rocks, bugs, etc. hitting my front bumper, there might be 3 or 4 tiny little nicks. It has held up very well, and I'm glad I didn't waste my money. Also, I have used Ohio Auto Kolor out in Newark for several years, and they are great people to deal with. They're always willing to answer any questions and they know what they're talking about.
  18. +1 for Col-Weld, I have had some wierd stuff welded by them and the results were way better than I expected.
  19. I remember when his first one got wrecked, I was good friends with the guy that wrecked it.
  20. What's a rust whole? I've heard of rust holes, but not rust wholes.....
  21. Check and see if the hinges are sloppy. Open the door and try to move it up and down. If there isn't any slop in them, try to lube them and the check link.
  22. Happy 30th Dave......I ordered you a flannel tool box cover from the Snap On man for your birthday.
  23. Do you know who could rechrome a set of AMG wheels? The chrome is beginning to peel.
  24. Ground temperatrues are fairly stable, especially throughout the course of a day. The tanks are deep enough in the ground that the temperature of the fuel in them isn't going to change from morning to night. Gasoline expands at roughly 60 degrees, so it would have to be really hot for a long time to get the ground warm at that depth. If you think about it, most basements are nice and cool all summer long, and those storage tanks are deeper than that. But they are right about not getting fuel while they're filling the tanks.
  25. Haha.....listening to you and Dave give each other shit is worth 10 bottles of Jager.
