  1. Transfer case? I think there was some issue with the oil pump rubbing the case itself. If the fluid is really low or empty you'll know.
  2. Absolutely. Just dig out the old caulk, clean the area really really well, and apply new sealant. My 20 yr old seamless had a few corner leaks and they have been good for several years. The sealant/caulk I used was made by Geocel.
  3. Still looking? My brother has 3 steelies off of a 97 Civic. The tires aren't any good, but you can have them for free if you want them.
  4. +1 for JVP. John is a good guy to work with and they did excellent work for me. He isn't the cheapest, but the quality is top notch.
  5. Glad I didn't delay, I ordered around 7am after I saw Mojoe's post.
  6. +1 for Sam. He did a stamped walkway and it turned out amazing. He even tore out the old walk even though that wasn't part of the deal and didn't charge me.
  7. Recently did head gaskets on a 2003 Rendezvous with the 3.4. Hands down the worst head gasket job I've ever done. Most any engine work you'll be doing will be blind considering the cowl covers a good bit of the engine. Also, the rocker bolts have a tendency to pull the threads out of the head when torqued. Thankfully this only happened on the front head, because the rear head would have to come back off to repair. Time-Sert has a kit for this.
  8. Does it have a sheet metal debris shield on the inboard side of the rotor? I have seen those rub the rotor before and cause a metallic noise.
  9. I know at one time there was a Vortec TBI manifold available from GMPP. Not sure if they still make it though. It was in the Jegs catalog.
  10. Kind of off topic, but do you still need a TPI intake? I have one if you do.
  11. My best friend deals with this for a living. PM sent.
  12. They forgot to number the felony question.
  13. I had all new side glass and windshields cut for my 51 Plymouth several years ago at a local shop, and I think it was Eddie's Glass and Mirror or something like that. They used the correct glass, too. Also, Safelite made a side window for a box truck at my work just last week, so maybe check them out like Evan said.
  14. Been twice for 10 days, and we spent close to 5k each time. My dad is retired military so we were able to stay at the Hale Koa (military hotel) which is cheaper than the other hotels. I'd say plan on 5k for a week.
  15. Do this car have the ninth (cold start) injector like the early F-body TPI systems? If so, it could be stuck open/leaking extra fuel into the intake. When these leak, the car will usually still run decent since the regular injectors are still functioning correctly, but it would be super rich. They make a block off kit for this, since they were kind of troublesome and not really necessary.
  16. We're doing our master bath, which needs 28 sq. ft. The quartz is $50 or $51 installed, I can't remember off the top of my head. I see someone else mentioned Corian, which we had in our last house. It is very easy to clean, and I love the way it looks, but it isn't heat resistant and scratches fairly easliy.
  17. Marble and Granite works is installing quartz in our house next week. Although not installed yet, I have been very happy with their service (came out and spent 3 hours measuring the day after we went in) and communication. They also did the granite in my parents house and it looks excellent.
  18. I'm not against cutting a hole in the floor, but when I changed the pump in my '88 (by dropping the tank), I noticed the hard lines coming out of the sending are close to 2 feet long. Seems to me one would also have to cut all of the lines and then splice them back together unless you cut a very large hole.
  19. Could be a simple as a dirty filter. Like Brian said, if there isn't sufficient air flow over the coil, it can freeze up.
  20. I believe you can have them cut at Lowes. If you only have a few to do, it might be cheaper/more convenient.
  21. Try a slightly smaller socket, either metric or standard, and hammer it on the nut? Sometimes it helps to use a 12 point for this. I'd also be using heat on the nut if it's seized.
  22. Welcome, nice GTA. It's nice to see a fellow thirdgen here.
