Check for chewed wires, make sure the rubber intake tubeing is all connected right and tightend up, pull MAF and spray it off with brake clean. Just a few places to start.

Ya know, im almost sold that thing the other day lol. A guy on the v6 site i used to frequent just built a monster of a 3800, full ported everything, custom intakes etc...plus a turbo kit that they said would be good for around 6-700 wheel hp. I thought about it lol

Oh and dont you mean SS 1LE> BMW LOL On another note i am impressed by the 1LE, according to their results, its faster than a laguna seca boss 302. Motor trend just did an article to where they tried to get a boss, but ford would only give them a track pack GT because they said it something about it being more of the 1LE competitor. To bad the 1LE was 3 seconds a lap faster than it around the track.

the phone app supposedly does that and everything else the remote can. i just plan on using it for drag racing and paintball occasionally, so i think the preview mode on the app would be all i really need so i can tell if the camera is pointed strait.

Sounds like your good to go then. A dremmel will work, just make sure you have a few extra bits (can be bought at pretty much any home improvement store) and be patient lol

The fiance got me what im guessin is a basic silver edition, no LCD screen or remote. I was debating going out and buying both, but i got on gopro's website and noticed they have a free app for smart phones that sounds like it will do the job of both. My problem right now is, i was broke when i bought last phone, so i got just your average low end andriod, so of course it wont support the app. So my question is, i get a phone upgrade early next year, and prolly wont use the camera that much till about then anyways, but would it be worth it just wait it out, or is the app worthless and i should just go spend the money on at least the screen?

I would be careful with doing something like that without doing a ton of research. I used to think any kind of porting had to help with airflow, and although it may help with volume, alot of times engineers design things for a purpose. Like my upper intake and throttle body for instance, i also tried to smooth out some areas in those when i did my build, luckily i had only done my throttle body because found out that some of areas i was going to smooth out, were designed to cause i swirl motion with the air into the head. We ran the car with the ported TB vs a stock and you could tell a pretty good difference in favor of the stock one in terms of throttle response. Cliffs, do your self a huge favor and make sure you know exactly what your getting yourself into before grinding.

This, i applied at advance a while back and got an interview. In the interview they acted like knowing your shit was key priority, and i awnsered truthfully ( asked on a scale of 1-10 how much i knew about engines, trans and rear ends, and i dont know crap about transmissions lol). Never got the job. 2 days later i go into an advance to get oil and a filter for my dads mustang because it lost oil pressure and wasnt sure why. When i get to the counter, kid asks what im worki g on, and after explaining, the kid says to me, there is a little plastic piece down by the oil pump drive that breaks all the time, my chevy v8 does it all the time.... Op, good pick up. Id like to pick me up a cheap beater that i dont care about.

Eh, it would be a cool swap and all, but seeing as the 3800 prolly weighs about the same as an ls motor (all iron vs all aluminum) id rather just have the more power from the ls. Now seeing as im pullng my 3800 out of the bird anyway, if i could find a brz cheap enough, i would drop it in. 300 ish hp and a good amount of low end torque in that chassis with a 6 speed would be a blast
