They are a bit on the heavy side which is probably why people prefer the s2k. Starky on here has one with some mods and i know he was enjoying racing it. Gm makes a cheaper kit to boost power to like 290 as well.

My winter car and the wifes daily are both gm h bodies (olds 88, bonneville), neither is obviously as nice as the caddy, but i just put new tires on the olds and some suspension work on the bonne, now both feel like your floating on clouds. Also drove the bonneville to tennessee with 4 adults, a child and a trunk full of crap and still managed 31 mpg with cruise set at 70 for the most part.

Luckily there some aftermarket places that are making parts for them now so its not as bad. I have an 04 gto with 125k on it, no rattles or anything. The main issue with these cars are that alot of the suspension bushings are junk. They can be replaced with poly mounts though and wont break. The rear ends arent as weak as some make them out to be. Although yes if you abuse a stick car you may be rebuilding it. Never driven a gen 1 v, but heard good things. Driven a g8 and honeslty liked my gto better. It rode well enough, but i thought the gto interior was far better. Looking at the dash, i thought i had gotten in my buddies 04 gp. Love driving the camaros. The interiors are pretty cool to look at, but they are a biotch to see out of.

Im with ya on the weekend car meet ups. I wish there was more. Would be nice to even just do sonic there on broad every weekend or something simple. I know you said you dont like online gaming, but play GTA with us some time, its a blast when you actually play with people you know. As for a new hobby or something of the like, i know ive mentioned it before, but try paintball. Most places rent equipment fairly cheap, its great excersize, and shooting people is a great stress reliever lol
