Think we need a new football thread. Can't handle the slowness and double posting for the rest of the CFB season.

I think I've lost some cars but nothing that I put too, too much into. Have a nice R8 (not actually an R8 but you get it) in the garage at Franklin's second house. Have a dumb Beetle dune buggy thing in Michael's garage. Was the first vehicle I modded so I stuck it in there and it's still there every time I check. Last night I modded one of the really fast electric cars (Voltic something or other) like full out so if I lose that I'll be mildly perturbed.

I didn't have much money and didn't pay much attention when I killed the LifeInvader guy as Michael. Ended up basically breaking even there then didn't mess with it again for a few days. Killed a Vapid guy, stock went down 99.95%, bought as much as I could with Michael and Franklin and doubled both of their money off it in a few days in game time (kept sleeping/saving and checking). I bought the airfield with Trevor early and haven't done much more with him so he has almost no money.

Don't know if they do that on MNF. Think they do it on SNF. Didn't watch/see either way. And the NCAA is already backtracking on PSU's sanctions. Big 10 East is going to be STRONG.

With the game being such a blowout yesterday and with watching the Nebraska game (friend is a huge Nebraska fan so I've watched every one of their games this season) I didn't see the post-game presser. Apparently Urban said he wanted to play Braxton but Braxton didn't think he was ready. Many reports from credible people saying he and Urban had a "heated discussion" before the game. So this is all just fact at this point. Speculation starts coming in when you see what OSU did in the first half and just how much they were blowing out FAMU. People saying it was Urban trying to poke at Braxton a bit kinda saying, "You could have been out there doing this. Instead it's Kenny. And oh look, there's the single game passing record for TD's. Kenny's." Now we get to see how Braxton reacts this week in practice.

Yeah, jbook used to do a good job of just taking "premium" info and tweeting it out sometimes sourced, sometimes as his own (even though it wasn't) then he started making his own shit up and at least a few didn't pan out and people stopped listening to him entirely. Meyer's feelings on injuries are no secret though. He tends to push kids probably because he's seen too many kids scare themselves into thinking they have a much worse injury than they do which lingers mentally even when they do finally return to the field.

Haha... just went through his tweets. Awesome. Read his stuff a lot during his recruiting process. Kid is gold.

Not sure if anyone noticed but Bret Bielema's wife tweeted #Karma after the refs stole Wisconsin's chance to beat ASU last weekend. Mike Vrabel's wife decided to give a little back this week on twitter... @JenVrabel1 Congrats to future Big Ten rival Rutgers. Big win today over SEC opponent. #Karma

#8 was JT Moore, TE converted from DE. Greene can't play this year since he transfered FBS to FBS. Will be interesting to see what is said about practice this week. Have to think there will be some rust/continuity issues if they start Braxton. We'll see.

Yeah, 2004 they were top 5 and kinda got screwed out of the Rose Bowl and ended up at the freakin' Holiday Bowl which they proceeded to lose since they did not want to be there at all.

Guys, the OSU-FAMU line is down to 49.5 in some places. I'M GETTING NERVOUS. COULD BE A CLOSE ONE.

They had pasties in GTA IV. No pasties in GTA V. And Rymer, lots of disc issues out there. Had a friend who couldn't get past a certain mission without it freezing every single time so he exchanged his disc last night at Gamestop and everything is fine.

And you better believe that kid is bolting as soon as he can. http://i.imgur.com/JhpEBOR.jpg

Connection doesn't matter. The online portion of the game doesn't come out for another 2 weeks.

Line was getting great push against Cal. Just like LJ said though teams are doing nothing but quick passes. This happens pretty much every year against the lesser OOC opponents. They know their lines can't hold up long enough so nothing but screens, quick passes and largely unsuccessful runs. As for Braxton, definitely agree with holding onto the ball too long sometimes. Needs to get rid of it or take off sooner. That's part of him wanting to show he's more than just an athlete playing QB. But that's mental. He has the physical tools to be an NFL QB. Denard never did.
-
OSU's biggest lead vs. Cal was 21-0 and obviously that was real early. It got back within 10 in no time and when OSU is going just as fast as Cal was things can turn in the blink of an eye. Wasn't much room to put a guy who is completely untested (Jones) in the game. Your comparison of Braxton to Denard is hilariously bad so I'll pretend I didn't read it. I wouldn't be surprised if Braxton sat this game out again. OSU opened as 57-point favorites (have seen it down to 50/50.5 now though). This is a game where we could finally see Cardale. Up 5-6 TD's and bring in all the reserves. No idea on Dunn and Thomas. If neither of them see the field in any capacity this week then barring injury to other guys I don't see why you'd waste a year of eligibility.

I hope he goes the coaching route right away. Urban has talked about it publicly. Take your shot at making an NFL team but when you don't... get back here and be a GA.

Next gen release probably won't happen (if it does) for at least 6 months.

There's way too little to judge him on. From the little we've seen there's some improvement but it was with a limited playbook and his running being restricted by the play calling and just the team not needing him to run against Buffalo. He could come back from this knee thing and have the full playbook finally at his disposal against Wisconsin and for the rest of the season and tear it up. I don't think there's been any indication that we should expect that yet but it's possible.

Amazon fucked my order up. Pre-ordered in December with Rewards points and a $50 promo card thing I had, got an e-mail saying it was shipped yesterday (but not release day delivery for some reason - first fuck up on their part) then got one today saying due to a processing error they could not fulfill my order. Going to be calling them at some point.

Pryor was never great with interview stuff. Still like him. Was probably just upset he couldn't go to the Cal game across the bay.

I mentioned the Wisconsin thing the night it happened at the bottom of a post about something else. Anyone blaming Wisconsin's players or staff in any way simply doesn't understand the rules or what actually happened.

Breaking Bad folks still alive after tonight?

That's the whole thing. OSU started bleeding clock on their 2nd drive of the 3rd quarter and Cal kept their pace going. Both teams ended up with almost 90 plays ran. The defense had some of the bad tackling return in the 2nd half but for the most part I liked what I saw. Goff is going to be GOOD. That throw where the receiver "beat" Roby for a TD was just an absolutely perfect throw. Reminds me of one of Mallett's TD's against OSU in the Sugar Bowl. Indefensible. And the kid's a true freshman. And Wisconsin had a probable win stolen from them by the refs tonight. Such a fun game to watch just ruined by (surprise, surprise) Pac 12 refs.
