  1. $36 deal is up again... http://www.ebay.com/itm/301510519939
  2. There's one guy in particular who has good sources at Weber's HS and he said he thought there was a good chance he'd be flipping as of Friday and now he thinks he definitely will be. Said he can explain better tomorrow morning after the dust settles but can't say a ton right now since he doesn't want to burn bridges at that school. But it seems he's shared the info with some other "insider" types and they're all buying it.
  3. Needed him after Davis left for Auburn. And he keeps a nice little pipeline to STA open. 4* DE Porter Gustin out of Utah announces tomorrow at 1PM ET. Some twitter rumors going around earlier tonight that he called USC and informed them that he was going to OSU. A lot of OSU people aren't buying that though. So sounds pretty much like a coin flip there. Unfortunately more people are starting to think 4* RB Mike Weber is going to flip to Michigan. He flipped from Michigan to OSU in mid-December so it's not like it's a kid OSU has had for a very long time. If he flips then I think Marotti and the strength and conditioning staff need to work on bulking up Samuel a bit to help Zeke more this season. People still believe 4* WR KJ Hill out of Arkansas ends up signing with OSU and that OSU has a very good chance of landing 4* OT Isaiah Prince out of Maryland as well. What I'm hoping for... Keep Weber, land Gustin, Hill and Prince, don't care about Gibson. What I'm expecting... Lose Weber, land Hill and Prince, still don't care about Gibson.
  4. Yeah, I don't know what MSU returns but TCU returns basically their whole offense. And they lose a good bit on D so Boykin will have to outscore some of those B12 offenses (ie. Baylor) again.
  5. Zeke is the favorite for the Heisman next year right now at 6/1 odds. At 10-12 are Cardale Jones (14/1), JT Barrett (16/1) and Braxton Miller (18/1). :masturboy:
  6. When it started to look like it was going to happen this past weekend I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that Urban went down to Arkansas (a state that OSU has never taken a player from) to troll Bielema. If OSU lands KJ Hill then in this class they will have taken kids from 3 states OSU has never had a player from before... Utah - Branden Bowen, maybe Porter Gustin South Dakota - Grant Schmidt Arkansas - KJ Hill
  7. Carlton Davis officially decommitted from OSU as expected. Damon Arnette becomes something of a priority this weekend. Apparently OSU tried to pick up one of the Dowell twins yesterday before their flip from UK to MSU became official but OSU didn't want both so they went to MSU. I've read some stuff saying that some DB's on the roster and even in this class may not play much more in their careers which is why they seem to want more than it looks like they need. Armani Reeves has some kind of headache issue that is concerning. Jamel Dean has a really bad knee but he was one of the first commits for this class and OSU isn't going to drop him this close to signing day but he may never play here. Also, apparently Michigan did not throw in the towel with Weber. I saw that from some Michigan people yesterday which is why I posted it then yesterday afternoon Weber and his dad met with Harbaugh at some diner. If he visits Ann Arbor this weekend then it would be time to be concerned. He talked with Coombs (in charge of Detroit area recruiting) after the Harbaugh meeting and OSU feels confident they'll hold onto him but "watch what they do not what they say."
  8. And it looks like Michigan has thrown in the towel with regards to OSU commit Mike Weber. They offered Wisconsin commit Titus Booker as a RB. Also, it was nice to see Kentucky lose 3 kids to B1G schools in the past 48 hours. Hamilton to OSU then twins from Cleveland to Michigan State. A writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer just put out a story this morning about Kentucky's recruiting of Ohio keeping the rest of the B1G outside of OSU down... guess he had it all written up and just pressed sent regardless of the recent events. :lolguy:
  9. Gustin will be a DE. LB class is loaded with Hilliard, Baker and Conner. Haven't heard much on Beckner since his visit so I'm going to keep thinking he ends up at Mizzou. Lose Davis and maybe Gibson, replace with Gustin, Prince, Hill and maybe Arnette... would take that all day. People are really starting to think Gustin is trending towards OSU.
  10. Urban was in Utah last night visiting with some old Utah buddies (saw a pic of them with him on twitter) but also doing in-home visits with commit Branden Bowen and target Porter Gustin. He went to Gustin's basketball game and sat with his 40+ family members at the game. Here's a pic of Urban in Gustin's home after the game... http://i.imgur.com/BpUFaxm.jpg
  11. double post Next new thread will last longer now that it's the off-season. Should at least make it to the spring game.
  12. Apparently Davis told the staff not to bother with their in-home visit on Thursday so unless something changes... he gone. OSU will probably end up with Damon Arnette from Bosa-land (St. Thomas Aquinas) in his place. Bama didn't lock down Isaiah Prince with their in-home tonight. Really think OSU is going to end up with him. Have to see if he makes a visit to MD this weekend. Also, Torrance Gibson could end up elsewhere too. LSU seems to pose the biggest threat at the moment. Obviously OSU is set at QB for a couple more years at least so it wouldn't be a huge loss. So what I see as the most likely finish... Keep Torrance Gibson, lose Carlton Davis, land Isaiah Prince, KJ Hill and Damon Arnette. Unlikely dream finish... Keep all, land Prince, Hill, Beckner and Gustin. Don't think they have room for the dream finish so it's extremely unlikely.
  13. I wonder what changed that made the staff let him go public with it. Still hoping to finish with 2 of KJ Hill, Isaiah Prince and Terry Beckner, Jr. I saw people tweeting eBay auctions with the field tickets within minutes of them selling out. Probably how he got one.
  14. Was it you or someone on here who posted that he was walking around the Shoe on Saturday with a little doll of himself? Boy do I hate him.
  15. So Bill Kurelic may very well have just messed with OSU's recruiting. Bucknuts is awful and will always do whatever they can to be "first" on a story and plenty of people knew about current Bama commit Isaiah Prince visiting OSU this weekend but they kept their mouths shut. Warinner asked them to and they did. Kurelic somehow got wind of it this morning and tweeted it out. There was maybe one staff member at Alabama who even knew about it and now Kurelic tweets it out to everyone. I really hope we see a day when Bucknuts loses their credentials with OSU.
  16. If the DT you're talking about is the kid from Pickerington then that's not happening until signing day (February 4th). Not sure why exactly but that's the word going around the recruiting boards. 4* WR KJ Hill sounds like a signing day announcement now. I was just thinking about him the other day and how Urban came to OSU and immediately stole Kyle Dodson from Bielema at Wisconsin. When I read about KJ Hill decommitting from Arkansas at first I saw he was a 4-star WR and figured that would be a fine addition. Then I saw he was FROM Arkansas and thought about how awesome it is that Urban is still trolling Bielema. The big visitor for the weekend was 5* DL Terry Beckner Jr. from East St. Louis. There have been some tweets in the last hour or so about Mizzou's DL coach leaving for Illinois so that could create a little uncertainty for Terry with Mizzou which is good for OSU. I hope Wade sticks. Having and keeping 2 Florida kids (Judson is solid IMO) for 2 years would be hard but huge for the class. #1 class in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 as well... but still 0 CFP national titles. :gabe:
  17. Myers is the #1 OL and #3 player overall in the 2017 class. Granted those ratings will surely change over time. But still... OSU's class average for 2017 right now is 99.22. QB Danny Clark is actually the lowest rated player in that class right now at just above 98.
  18. Another scholarship opens up for OSU... LB Trey Johnson's (played as a true freshman but hasn't since) career is over. Bad arthritis in his knee partially due to playing on a torn meniscus as a senior in HS. Had surgery to fix that after his senior season, has had it cleaned out twice since he's been at OSU but the doctors said if he keeps playing it will probably get to the point where he'd have trouble walking well by the time he's 30. So both of the big-time LB's from that class (Mike Mitchell being the other) are now gone. Despite those losses, LB is one of OSU's best and deepest positions moving forward.
  19. The head of the CFP playoff committee came out and said what Briles said about the 8-4 vote isn't even possible because they never vote on teams in groups of less than 3. Briles is an idiot who needs to just shut up. Even some of their own fans are cringing over his comments now.
  20. You've got Blackledge and Nessler at the top where they belong so it's all good in my book.
  21. I think they got in a little trouble for that... Darron Lee tweeted this about 5 minutes ago... Darron Lee ‏@DLeeMG8 5m5 minutes ago I'm gunna check back in with y'all in a couple months...chao Tyvis retweeted it... :lolguy: Edit: And now Tyvis' temporary farewell tweet... Tyvis Powell ‏@1Tyvis 3m3 minutes ago I guess I'll talk to yall after spring ball, BACK TO THE GRIND!!!
  22. I never had a problem with Musburger. I have some great OSU calls of his in my head. Holy Buckeye, Pittman's run to seal the win vs. ND in the Fiesta bowl, multiple plays from the #1 vs. #2 game vs. Michigan, etc., etc. Only game I remember Keith Jackson doing for OSU was the national title game vs. Miami and he was much more likable than Fouts in that one for obvious reasons. I hate Chris Fowler and think it's sad that he's part of the lead announcing team for ESPN now. Some recruiting news... 4* RB Mike Weber out of Michigan who Harbaugh is trying very hard to flip back to Michigan will be in Columbus this weekend along with a lot of recruits (some on official visits, some on unofficial, all will get to enjoy the national title celebration in the Shoe tomorrow). Also told a Detroit reporter that he will most likely not be taking a visit to Michigan. So it sounds like he's very solid which is good. Could see some playing time this year with Dunn and Ball being mostly forgotten at this point. Zeke shouldn't have to carry the ball more than 25 times in any game this season.
  23. To be fair in that FSU-Bama game the FSU touchdown was a lot less interesting. Danielson used to be awesome before he went to CBS and had to focus on nothing but the SEC. Used to actually know what he was talking about. That FSU-Bama game was relatively early in his time at CBS and you can hear him calmly saying "what a play" with Verne having an orgasm over it then eventually pointing out what happened on the play. I remember his very first year at CBS... it was the year OSU ended up playing Florida. The entire 2nd half of the SEC title game was a Danielson informercial for why Florida should get the spot in the title game vs. OSU. I guess he got it right but there was a lot of arrogance ("no one watches more film than me" being a memorable quote) and it made watching the game itself no fun. I think that game was actually when I started more or less tuning announcers out completely. Only teams I enjoy listening to anymore are Blackledge/Nessler (ESPN) and Davis/Johnson (Fox).
  24. Oh and Joe Paterno is getting his wins back. Kinda disgusting in my opinion. At least he died thinking they were gone.
