  1. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/emoticons/violin.gif Feel free to cut my car out of the Talladega collage and paste yours in. Or, better yet, you could actually bring your car to some of the events where these photos are taken. Truth is, I flooded the contest with photos of my cars, hoping that at least one might appeal to the people making the selection and might make the calendar. It ended up that two of my submissions were chosen, and I'm flattered. A lot of the best cars in CR haven't had photos submitted. But if you want to increase your chance of getting into the calendar, get some good shots of your car, or have someone else get good shots and submit a bunch to the contest. Maybe even some that would match-up well with a month, such as your red 'vette parked near maple trees with bright red leaves starting to fall (I'm thinking a great Sept or Oct photo). But I really like your idea of a collage, and have been planning to do one for the Hangout using the photos people submit of CR people, cars, and events. I'm hoping it will stretch along the long wall behind the couches, maybe 15 feet or more. Tell you what, I'll start it off with a large photo of a certain red Corvette if you can get all the swirls out of the paint
  2. Yep. And it was no cameo appearance, either. Jason was among the last six guys I booted out about 2:30 a.m. or so.
  3. Yep, you did. And the XBox was never powered-up!
  4. Well, I thought Looper was pretty darned good. Fun group at the Hangout tonight. Nine people with some of the most diverse opinions on CR. It's surprising no blood was spilled.
  5. In case you haven't been there, here are directions: Howald Industrial Park 320 London Road, Suite 101 (in Building 100) Delaware, Ohio (across from the intersection of London Road & Liberty Road) the place is 14 miles north of Home Depot/Sawmill it is 1.5 miles from the large Jegs Warehouse at Route 42 and London Road If you are coming from Columbus, it's easy to just go north on US 23 to the first Delaware exit (South Sandusky Street, exit to the left but turn right on Sandusky St., then go about a mile and turn left onto London Road at the McDonalds. The place will be on your right just after the Delco Drive Through. If you are coming from Sawmill, go directly north on Sawmill Road until it ends at the Hyatts Road Roundabout. Turn right (east) on Hyatts Road, go into the village of Hyatts, turn left (north) on Liberty Road. Liberty road dead ends at the industrial park (turn left onto London Road, then immediately right, into the park). Questions/problems: Text me at 740-405-5565.
  6. Not everyone who comes to the Hangout likes violent movies ...... this way people who want to skip the movie can meet-up for dinner somewhere then come to Hangout later. Also, I still don't have a way to stream movies. My only internet there is my phone tether, and I don't think the XB360 is set up for that--or at least I don't know how to do it. Feel free to come by and hook me up, Jones.
  7. I see Looper is playing at the $2.50 theatre tonight at 7:05. I think I'm going to hit that, then can open the Hangout at 9:30 if there's interest. Cinemark Movies 12 Carriage Place (Bethel and Sawmill) For trailer and buying tickets: http://www.google.com/movies?hl=en&near=Columbus,+OH&dq=carriage+place+movie+times&mid=44f418cee4597507&sa=X&ei=zIrDUNnmPOXW0gHO8YH4CA&ved=0CDIQwAMoCA Meet in the theatre lobby at 7 if you want to sit as a group.
  8. Text me if you get four or more who want it open. At this short of notice, I doubt that it will. Perhaps set something up for Saturday?
  9. You're the first to mention it. I can open it if people want to come out.
  10. Come over to the lot behind Sonic .... maybe we can set up a couple o' runs.
  11. Great car, Mike. I think you'll find silver a lot easier to keep looking good than white.
  12. With a little advance notice, I can make it almost any late afternoon during the week, and I can always be there in the early evening M-F, and all day on Sunday.
  13. The blackjack tables have $15 minimum now except for peak times. The tables closest to the front are pretty much $25 all the time, but the ones closest to the parking garage entrance have $15 most of the time I'm there, but raise to $25 when things get busy.
  14. There's still room for 3 more bikes, but I don't think I can get a jet ski and trailer stored without making it difficult to get the cars in and out. Anyone else planning to store a bike?
  15. Here's an old thread about where to buy the ring, but there are additional CR member opinions on the proper amount to spend, in case you haven't had your fill yet: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98962&highlight=wedding
  16. At 10 p.m. 49 degrees, 10 mph wind
  17. Looks like an excellent day for a December bike ride. I'll be around the Hangout around 5:30 p.m. if anyone wants to puts a bike in storage. Text me if you plan to do that. 740-405-5565
  18. 320 London Road, building 100, in the Howald Industrial Park 740-405-5565
  19. Aaron, Jack, and others who mentioned interest, the forecast for Saturday is for partly cloudy skies and a high of 55. You may want to consider a final ride of the season ending at the Hangout in the late afternoon. I will be riding my bikes early in the day but can meet you both at the garage later and then can drive you back home. It's fine with me if you want to bring your bikes at another time, but I thought this might be a good opportunity if we can coordinate our schedules. JP, you're welcome to tour the place anytime.
  20. Is this still for sale at $2500? If so, please PM me with photos. Thanks!
  21. Sure. Just let me know when you want to bring the bike.
  22. Just let me know when you want to bring the bike over. I stored one bike already. Now that I look at the space, I think we could fit ten without crowding or having to move one bike to get to another. It's free, but I should mention to everyone to keep comprehensive coverage over the winter. I've never had anything in the place damaged, but you want to have coverage in case of fire, theft, and the like.
  23. I wanted to try to stay away from larger items (boats, trailers, and the like). Would both of your trailers fit within a single car parking space? If so, I might be able to accomodate them after I've given first dibs to the motorcycles. I'll contact you in a week or so after the bikes have been given a fair chance to respond.
  24. For someone deployed, we bend the rules. You can leave your bike here for your whole deployment--just give me instructions on how often you want it started or whether you want a friend to take it out from time to time to ride it. There's no charge, not even to the gov't. You're about two hours away. I can trailer it up here if you don't have other storage for it.
