Slight thread derail.. but one of the big things I am seeing with Hyundai is their marketing has REALLY improved. They are seeing big returns on some of the promotional stuff they are doing. They are really a car company that "gets it." Now, I hope they don't do what Toyota/Honda has done.. and start to get too expensive to be the more affordable, nice alternative.

I didn't say they were awesome. But they are doing some good things that are easy to overlook in today's atmosphere of doom and gloom.

I am getting pretty tired of all the GM sky is falling stuff. OK so they sky MAY be falling for GM. They are paying for their past (and rightfully so), but they are really improving and making some great cars... Yea I understand where you are coming from. Appreciate it man. Cops radio back and find a reason to bust the rest ^ So people are gathered at say, Circuit City. People go out and get stopped for speeding or whatever. What are the cops coming back to CC doing.. arresting us? giving us tickets? just making us leave? (Reason I am looking for clarification is because legally I have no idea what could or couldn't happen. Just looking to be educated.) I think there may be a lot of unnecessary concern. If you go to just hang out what is there to worry about? who cares if the cops come? Thanks for any insight.

Basically a kid in a highly identifiable acura steals someone elses front lip out of a parking garage. internet rage ensues and they end up finding everything out about the person. pics, address, etc. While trying to defend himself the thief only makes matters worse for himself and eventually stops posting.

Wagner, I def appreciate all your effort to secure a good spot. But as far as this big bust you keep mentioning. Who exactly is being busted and for what? I can see cops rolling in and dispersing everyone but I am a bit clueless as to what we need to be worrying about.

Exactly. Let's say by some miracle there is a consensus on CR of where to meet. Only around 10 people will show up (if that), then most of us will end up going to Polaris or whatever anyway. So lets call it what it is -- we are just trying to figure out where the largest gathering of cars will be. I know we have all seen each others cars enough, so the larger gatherings at Polaris are the best place to see different cars come through. Being "herded" around by the police just comes with the territory. So we ended up moving from Kroger, to Big Lots, and now to the closed Circuit City. Big deal.

My home insurer just put a complete new roof on my house. (Just went on today actually.) So at least for 09 I am pretty even.

Today, a truck in front of me got tagged and waved over by a cop on a motorcycle at that exact stretch. I almost thought he was waving me over but I used the truck as a screen and kept going as he pulled over. I really lucked out.
