This for sure, when I start narrowing it down to certain houses I plan driving there after work to see what the rush hour is like. Does anyone have a good home inspector who did a good job? So what does a realtor actually do for someone buying a home? I'm only buying what I need, I probably could swing a 300k house, but it would really be too nice and too much for what I really need at the moment.

So I've finally decided to give up my nomadic ways and start looking for a house. The whole thing is very new to me, so hopefully people can give some good advice, lessons they learned during thier first time, and any comments on getting the most for your money, the best home loans, etc. I'm going to be looking in the north side of town. Starting in Westerville, Lewis Center, and branching out into worthington, dublin, new albany, etc. I'd like to stay in the ~$200k range with 4 bedrooms preferrably. So far my impressions is that I can probably get a newer home in lewis center than I can in the other areas. I like the look of newer homes, but i'm sure there are drawbacks. I probably will have some money to do a few upgrades after the home is bought, but I'd like to do as little as possible. So what would you have wished someone told you before you bought your first home?

I just bought a matching set from a guy who repairs and sells these as a side business. They are LG Tromm, very nice, and have worked great for the 9 months or so that I've owned them. I dont have his name or number any more, so it really doesnt help you. I just know that he advertises on craigslist and sells them out of his home in galloway. He had probably 10-12 matching sets down in his basement ready to go. Overall I paid $500 for both.

I went with the Michelin PSS, which have been awesome as well. Been in the wet a few times with them with no loss in confidence or getting skiddish at all. Definitely night and day vs the runflat. Very interested in seeing what happens to my 1/4mile time

my bill was lower this past month, but I havent been around much lately. only $75. but its a small apartment too. Has anyone had any experience with alternative forms of generating electricity? My ex-gf's father had a solar power setup that I thought he said provided more electricity than his home needed. I would think that would be a pretty good way, depending on initial costs, maintenance, etc.

This was definitely a cool show last year, i'll probably stop by again, but I dont think I'm bringin the car out this year since i'll probably be toting around some children as well.
