  1. If it's not a huge amount, then what about using lifting blocks in the rear to make the stance change? Give you a little more ground clearance in the process.
  2. I upgraded to a 50" plasma a couple months ago from MicroCenter for under 1k. Bummer about the old one. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I heard the weight difference between LCD and Plasma is partially due to the fact plasma TVs use glass in front instead of plastic for LCDs.
  3. Setup. Hell he probably pounded the nail in himself. But you did not ask for his help, if he wanted paid he should have negotiated that before helping. I'm not a fan of vandalism, but I surely would be tempted to return the favor (with the same nail, just for the irony).
  4. Our kids show up at school on Tuesday, but I had to go back for meetings Wednesday. Open house last night, so I have today off. Last day off before school starts ..... hmmm, how can I most efficiently waste this day?
  5. S10 with a swap. Full frame, rear wheels are outside the cab, so no smoke in the cab from burnouts. S&W makes a full backhalf kit if you want to go that far. I've seen big and small blocks swapped into S10s. Aftermarket is rich in parts. S10v8.com has ALOT of information, but costs a few bucks to join.
  6. I'd probably start with a coolant flush.
  7. Normally when I see a big cast list of recognizable names it means they have no money left for script, production, etc .... But the names I saw were not high dollar ones, so it has the potential of being a decent movie.
  8. My first speeding ticket was for 100mph. Spending 2 months of my senior year in high school riding the bus convinced me to think about the consequences of my actions before hand. But I've always loved going fast. I've got WAY too much money in my car, and getting ready to spend even more.
  9. Actually a bald head at the gym would probably feel pretty good. I remember when I first shaved my head, I could feel every little breeze across my scalp. Problem will be no hair to keep the sweat from rolling down into the eyes. A bandanna would probably be a good choice there, also when the weather gets cold a bandanna insulates well. I used to wear one under my hard hat when we were working outside in the winter and it worked great. Sunscreen will be a must too (don't forget the top of your ears). Burning your scalp is a minor annoyance, but the peeling is nasty. I hope your wife does well with her treatment, that cannot be an easy thing to go through.
  10. I've been looking to get the Camaro done and I happen to have the day off on Friday. I'll talk to the girlfriend too, she may be interested in have her Toyota Tundra done.
  11. I run AVG (free version) on all my systems. Avast I have heard is another good free product. Be VERY careful of any error message saying you have a virus. Unless it is coming from an antivirus program, then most likely it is a virus itself. More often than not they direct you to a website where you can pay to download a program to fix things.
  12. If my girlfriend is in town with her truck I can help ... but I can't be certain right now, her ex is giving her hell about switching weekends with the kids.
  13. I would hope they are worried more about the guns they can't see than the ones that are carried openly.
  14. Here's some help to get started. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1743 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61288 That's tell you how to post photos and get off to a good start.
  15. Thought some folks here might be interested in learning how to port cylinder heads. http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/1325828770.html I know this guy and am thinking about getting into the class myself.
  16. I've been shaving my head for about 10 or 11 years now. I use a standard razor and shaving cream/gel. Specifically Gillette Mach 3, but that is just a personal preference. The trick I found is to shave in the shower. I hung a suction cup shaving mirror in there and shave almost every day during the school year. For about the first 6 months or so I shaved with a Braun electric until my scalp adjusted. Be careful of sunburn too. Oh, and by the way. If you shave now (end of summer) be prepared for some pretty extreme tan lines on your head.
  17. If you do the C5 upgrade, I'll buy your old front brakes since they would be an upgrade for me. Problem with the C5 upgrade is 17" wheels minimum.
  18. Yeah, sounded good to me too, until I looked up where West Chester is. Just north of Cincinnati for anyone who doesn't know. Probably wouldn't be a bad cruise down there for anyone in the Dayton area.
  19. Another question would be whether or not the "new opti" is an ebay POS, or a quality part?
  20. Oh, and if you like the look of wood, but want concrete, there is a stamp they can use to make a patio look like a deck.
  21. I'm in the process of adding a patio next to my deck. I love the deck, but a fire pit/ring will really screw up a deck. The combination will be HUGE when it's done though. http://i453.photobucket.com/albums/qq260/01fxst/patioform.jpg That's looking at the back of the house right now.
  22. Heading out in a few minutes.
  23. Shriners are having a car show today at their place over on Steltzer. I didn't hear about it until last night, apparently my neighbor runs the thing. He told me they normally get about 150 cars. Might be some good pictures there too.
