Historical or interesting spots within an hour from Columbus

Airforce Museum, although it's mostly indoor, so I'd save it for the crappy weather. -
I don't have the BLTouch or any of those leveling sensors. When I was reading about them the concept sounds amazing and like a perfect solution. But I also read a lot of reviews from people frustrated out of their minds trying to get them to work. My solution was to get a piece of borosilicate glass to put on my bed. It's perfectly flat and won't warp. Then I level the bed the traditional way with a sheet of copy paper as my thickness gauge. For warping issues I normally look at a temperature differential problem. Bed not hot enough or too cold. Or the room is not warm enough. I find my printer does better in the summer when my room is warmer and the print temp vs. ambient temp are not so far apart. At some point I'll get around to building a cabinet for the printer to trap some of that bed heat and raise the ambient temp around the printer.

I don't know shit about fuck when it comes to hunting. What I do know is my wife is eyeballing my new (to me) over under. When she was young she enjoyed hunting and wants to get back into it. We have access to some places to hunt and now she in interested in taking advantage. Primarily this would be deer, but could also be fowl. So I've looked at .350 Legend, and a nice little bolt action 20 gauge rifle. Those would be great for deer, but they are one trick ponies. I'd rather not spend more than $500. What are recommendations for something that does not take exotic ammo, can take a beating out in the woods and still shoot true, good for both slug and shot, and won't break the bank? Better yet, does anyone have something that fits the bill sitting gathering dust in their safe that they would be interested in selling?

If I am not busy I'll bring out the '96 Honda Civic complete with plastic hubcaps, plenty o rust, and hood pins since the hood latch rusted shut. She has almost 270k on the clock, but she runs great, has a manual transmission, and is paid for. As a bonus the radio work great and the A/C blows cold. Is that shitboxy enough?

Okay, with 100 - 150 kits I agree, get your own printer. I'm sure you'll find other uses for it as well. I have found it to be a really fun hobby, and there is lots to learn.

I would definitely lean toward the Prusa i3 based on it's reputation as a great starting printer. Stay the fuck away from the Anet A8. That's what I have, and it's a decent printer now that I've built and rebuilt it twice now and effectively replaced every part of it. Wagner was up and printing pretty decent stuff with his Ender 3 quicker than I thought he would be. Everything on the market right now is basically a copy of the Prusa i3. I believe the i3 incorporates all the popular features, that everyone adds to their i3 copy. In my opinion it's the nicest printer in your price range. Since everything else is a cheaper copy, they have swapped in lower grade components to make a lower price. If you really want to save some money, I would go with the Ender 3. That seems to be a design that goes together and works pretty well right out of the box. Like I said before, stay away from the A8. I don't regret buying mine, but it's been much more of a learning process than I can describe. I've learned a hell of a lot though, so I can't complain too much since that was my goal. Most of these printers are open framed desktop versions. You can run them this way, but you may want to invest in some sort of enclosure not for protection, but because the higher the temperature differential between the room and the printing process can cause some printing issues. I find that my printer runs better in the summer when the house is about 10 degrees warmer. Parts stick to the bed better in the summer. All that being said, how many of these brackets are you going to need? How often do they break? Would just using a printing service be faster and maybe cheaper? If you're looking for extra justification for the purchase, there are lots of other thing that can be printed obviously. Cable management clips and brackets comes to mind.

CR and Columbus Cars & Coffee Drag/Auto-X at Dragway 42

Every time I have adhesion issues it has been a bed leveling problem. I use a borosilicate glass pane on the bed and that has made a huge difference. Also I had huge problems with the inland filament at some point when I think they changed suppliers. I stick to Hatchbox PLA and Monoprice PLA+ when I need some extra strength. I level my bed using a sheet of copy paper as a gauge. I adjust till I can slip the paper between the print head and each corner of the bed, but there is some drag to the paper. If the first layer doesn't go down cleanly then I stop and try again. Wagner picked up the Ender 3 and I'm pretty impressed with it. I've been tinkering with a POS Anet A8 for a few years now. There really isn't much left of the original printer.

This is amazing news. Love it!

I'll get pics posted later when I get home. Selling a D1 Procharger kit for 4th gen LT1 f-body. Unfortunately it won't work on an LS1, only on the LT1. LT1 kit uses a standard rotation head unit, LS1 uses a reverse rotation unit. Run time is in minutes. When I bought the dragster this project went on the back burner, and the install was never completed. This includes all the brackets, plumbing, dual intercoolers, and the waste gate. It is a 12 rib pully, not a cog drive. Kit number is 1GA212-D1SC Brute speed has these kits listed for $6,348. I'd like $4000, but for CR I'll take $3500 https://shop.brutespeed.com/ATI-1GA212-D1SC-93-97-LT1-Intercooled-D-1SC-F-1A-12-Rib-ATI-1GA212-D1SC-93-97-LT1.htm Posting here first in case someone on CR is interested. Will post publicly in a few days.

FS: Beretta 686 silver pigeon Sporting 32" 12ga

Damn this is tempting. -
And therein lies the problem. Common sense and our legal system make an interesting Venn diagram of two circles that don't overlap.
-
Agreed, I don't like that option either, but it makes sense. Also, if she is basically homeless, and she does have family but they are not helping her out ... why should she save the land to pass to them. I'm sure the bank will screw her some with a reverse mortgage, but it does allow her to continue living there and provides some income while it matters. Selling the land makes a lot of sense too. I don't know what prices are like down there, but it could get her a nice little chunk of change. Since the land is right next to yours, any thought of buying it from her to increase the size of your space? You could work out a deal with her to allow her to continue living there. You make payments to her which gives her income, then when she passes the land becomes yours.
-
If she doesn't have kids to pass the land down to, what about a reverse mortgage to help out while she continues to live on the land? The land is only a meaningful asset to her while she is alive and capable of using it. Once she is no longer able to live alone, or dies, then she doesn't need the land any more.
-
Damn that looks amazing.

Another for Hoblick, but just in case you're looking for another idea. I had a bunch of stuff done by Performance Powdercoating that all turned out great. I would not hesitate to use either of them again. For something as small as your project both are very capable of getting it done.

I know Bazel fuel down in Logan sells race gas. I wonder if they fill bottles too? If you're looking to wake the car up a little more, would a different rear end gear or a different converter be easier? I know when we went to 4.10 gears in my '95 the car seemed entirely different.

You can get HDMI to DVI cables and also Display Port to DVI cables if anyone is worried they don't have DVI on their device at home.

That sucks man, I've shared the hell out of your post all over facebook. Hoping it pops up somewhere.

Since my wiring is external to the wall, one of my thoughts is to pull off the single box and put on a double box. Then I can have the outlet, and the timer switch side by side. Something like this should do the trick, and will add a lot of piece of mind. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Leviton-500-Watt-60-Minute-In-Wall-Digital-Timer-R62-6161T-1LW/202051145
