  1. It's $0.15/round... What's fair? I'm not going to take a loss on it.

Just FYI last time I bought .22LR at vances 2 months ago I paid $.05/round for regular old plinker ammo. The stingers and mini mags are worth more.

    Good luck with sale

  2. Right, got rid of the IMS, and at least in the 911s I have yet to read about the newer 9a1 motor having any bore scoring or cylinder chunking issues. Don't think the smaller boxster engines were as affected, and really it's internet-tastic for the most part but still affects resale and peace of mind.

I can think of at least 3 people that autox regularly on the older motors, 2 of them over 100k and none have had ims, scoring, d-chunking, etc issues.

  3. Last time I went downtown to Plaza 1 I didn't have my badge displayed. I was stopped by security before I even opened the door. I am Caucasian. The security guards are always on edge in my experience. Plaza 1 is the world headquarters of the company and there are tons of people in and out everyday.

Last time I was there I had my badge in my pocket, shoulder surfed someone in and hopped the turnstyle. Nobody seemed to care? Might have even been in my taliban-beard sportin days.

Time before that I forgot my badge, came in one of the back doors behind some dilberts, followed them through the turnstyles and walked around with impunity.

    ILLUSION OF SECURITY LOL

  4. Lotus are cheap.

The base 996 in stock form isn't anything to write home about. Sure you can pick one up for a cheap, but keeping it running will be another story. If something happens to the motor, it will cost nearly as much as the purchase price......

There are very few motors, and shops that rebuild are booked 6 months+ out. A running used motor is generally around $10k give or take a couple, and rebuild will run $15k-$18k. Once the motor goes, a clean roller is worth usually $5kish. That being said, working on them isn't hard, parts are comparable to bmw parts $ and the failures are well known.

Only 300 hp, but the performance is very strong for that power level. Stock for stock a 996 will be .3-.5 behind a 5.0 coyote stang in the 1/4, and about equal at autox on the same tires.

  5. I hear ya man. Corporate life is LOL. That being said, my family used to own a 4-unit building in UA and sold it because we were there every other week with fixing things, landscaping, mowing, cleaning, just nonstop bullshit.

So people go the other way too, from rental to corporate 8-5 M-F to get some freedom in their off hours.

I don't know what the rental market is doing other than casually seeing places around here renting out fast for what seems to me like too much. If you want to jump, go for it. Plenty of time left to put it back together if you crash & burn.

  6. Pretty sure we have been under invasion for awhile now.

All we have to do is find a nice place with tons of natural resources, immigrate in such quantity to be able to out-produce or out-vote the indigenous, keep hold of our culture without assimilating, and BOOM a generation or 3 later- peaceful takeover.

    Needs moar Teddy, less franklin.
