  1. I'd think 3700lbs is more realistic...

3700? isn't that what a stang is now? add on turbos, plumbing, aero bits, even bigger wheels and it will be a hellcattish 11,000 lbs. You'll have to plan your route ahead to make sure you're not exceeding rural bridge weight limits. Driveways will need reinforced to prevent cracking and sagging. Mustang-edition heavy duty floor jacks will be dealer provided. Tugboats will have to escort you into and out of garages.

Probably be 200 lbs lighter :gabe:

  2. If they get it close, you can dremel it the rest of the way, or file to fine-tune it.

Key cutters aren't what they used to be. I've had many keys done at various stores using manual and automatic key machines do an unsatisfactory job.

  3. I saw one of these beasts (red) on Roberts Rd. Sunday. Seriously a gorgeous car...not a huge fan of the wheels, but good God the body lines are the car are gorgeous. I was heading the other way so I couldn't hear it (it was stopped)...loved it though.

IN MY OPINION they sound pretty shitty. I thought the old NSXs sound pretty shitty too.

There is at least one that tears around plain city pretty regularly.

  4. Aaron ill pay you.

whats another $5 on top of the money i gotta throw out the window to fix the car

my best run of the day was 11.33 @ 126 with an amazing 2.01 60ft

end of the day i sheared the 2 rear bolts that hold the diff to the its cradle, which ended up trashing the driveshaft, half shafts, and I'm pretty sure the diff is grenaded.

Holysheet! on it's maiden drag voyage? That's brutal, sorry to hear car looked and ran good

  5. I've driven the same bmw on DWS, and pilot sport as3. The as3 is noticeably better, would not hesitate to use them in the future if I had to get a no-season tire.

Still shitty in the snow though. If I had to rely on a rwd car in winter I'd get winter tires, but with an lsd you're probably better off.

  6. VW programmed the ecu's in the diesel cars to recognize when emissions testing equipment was hooked up and to adjust the tune to pass emissions. Without the adjustment they would have failed from the factory.

Yeah, those .gov folks are really upset people's TDIs get better than rated economy and make better power most of the time. Becauz OMG EMISSIONS!

Didn't subaru get busted doing the same thing with their new imprezas? having some special MPG-test-detecting fuel mapping or something?

  7. I vote to get an s2k, drive it this season, and if you still want an M2 or whatever at the end of the season the s2k is very easy to sell quick and depreciation will have taken a bite out of the BMW by then.

    BRZ LOL

Sucks to hear man, so this is the 3rd engine failure in that car? You'd have better luck with an OMG IMS EXPLOSION CYLINDER SCORING COOLANT PIPE CRACKED HEAD CHUNKED CYLINDER 996 :gabe:

  8. If gas stays below $2.50/gal for a while, it shouldn't be that expensive to run it, even with increased fuel consumption.

The people that could afford a 400hp mazda probably wouldn't be so concerned about it, but their CAFE or whatever might be? Emissions and economy are killing all kinds of fun stuff, meanwhile volcanoes still erupt, cows still fart, and china & india still have millions of super-polluting 2-stroke scooters.

    RIP rotary

  9. I went to HR block one year, it was pretty meh. I only had some stock gains/losses to deal with, and it was a couple hundred bucks. They did not save me anything over just doing the regular old 1040 with schedule A or whatever and cap gains/losses schedule D? Very disappointed. They don't have a magic wand they wave and find mystery monies for you to get back :(

If you don't have anything fancy to report, just do them yourself, a 1040EZ takes like 2 minutes if that. I've used the free online places and they were pretty easy too.

  10. I'm interested to see how much he can shake things up and possibly get the rest of the idiots in Washington to take a serious look at why people are soo fed up with career politicians.

This, also concerned with what happens with the supreme court in the next few years.
