+rep clean car, good intro.

I see that a lot. highschool kids get these things, buy a boost controller and beat the crap out of them. I can't say I wasn;t guilty of that years ago with my 1st 1G. Not as bad as a lot of others, but still stupid. 1st mod I had to have was a GReddy Type 2 BOV so it would sound awesome. Then exhaust, 16G, and just going nuts getting sideways at 55mph in parking lots after a light rain or snow. Fun but stupid. I went a completely different direction on this one. Maintenence supercedes modifications. First $1500 or so I spent on this car were for new front CV shafts, new rotors, calipers, pads, and SS lines, and new tires. Timing belt, water pump, etc were new when I bought it. I have come a decent way since stock, (new springs and shocks, strut bars, BR 20G, 3 inch exhaust, 880cc injectors, FMIC, and an awesome program to tune with) but right now I have discovered a small gear oil leak and that is priority to find where it's coming from and get it fixed. 5 more years and I can get historic plates! I plan on hanging on to this thing so I need to take care of it. Appreciate the kind words everyone. -Ryan

What's the word on this?
-
I agree. I have owned a 1Gb and this 1Ga and I would prefer a 1Ga. Something nostalgic about the flip up's and I just like the way the front of the car looks better. Don't get me wrong, I like the 1Gb's...just prefer the 1Ga.

Congratulations Sir. I am happy for you.

Right before my wife took that picture, she told me it was going to be her favorite. I asked her why and she said, "you will see." I was pleased. She took 35 pics, and while there are some other great ones, that is definitely top 3 for me. Erik, yes, those wheels look very good. I was hanging out with james last night and he was amazed how good the car looked and how well the wheels complimented the rest of the car. The hood is a stock hood but not original to this car. Something is wrong with it and it doesn't sit flush with the rest of the car. It works for now...Carbon Fiber in the future :bangbang: Everyone else, thanks for the compliments. I try to keep her clean. When I have a whole day to actually dedicate, she is getting clay barred and waxed.

i couldn't finish the video...

Well if it was him he may remember me maybe not so much for my car (though it is lowered, black rims, and full exhaust) but because I crossed 3 lanes of traffic to get beside him, give him a thumbs up, then hurried and got back over three lanes so I didn't miss my exit ha ha. I know, dork.

Leak. DSM='s leaks everyhwere.
-
Yeah, white guy, maybe 40's? Looked to be decent build, definitely not a small guy. It was all black targa top, shiney wheels, (couldn't get the detail of the rims at 75mph), and looked to be full exhaust. You should find out if it was him and give him my compliments.

Just wanted to post some pics of the DSM my wife took last evening. Not really a build thread...hood isn't original and I need a new one and when I get the money a carbon fiber one is going on but not bad for now... http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/a461/RyanCorlew/DSM/IMG_3867.jpg http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/a461/RyanCorlew/DSM/IMG_3869.jpg http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/a461/RyanCorlew/DSM/IMG_3896.jpg http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/a461/RyanCorlew/DSM/IMG_3889.jpg http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/a461/RyanCorlew/DSM/IMG_3878.jpg

Saw the most beautiful black 300ZX on 270 N by Easton last evening. Owner, if you are on here...hats off to you Sir. It made me cry...in front of my wife. I was the guy in the black Eagle Talon.

Excellent customer service. Called them on Thursday about an issues I had will my Evolution MBC, on Friday evening I had a new one with a return label for the one I had an issue with. They were a pleasure to deal with.

welcome fellow DSMer. Now sell it and get an AWD, or at the very least convert the tail lights back to stock.

Loved this movie. HG is awesome.

or just put the gun in a metal lockbox with a steel cable holding it to the car.
-
Ahh, that make total sense now. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

Ohio just needs to get on the ball like our surrounding states and allow CCW holders to carry in a liquor estabishment. It doesn't say in that article that the two individuals had CCW permits (they had previous drug convictions) so they don't count. They should be locked away as they weren't supposed to be carrying concealed guns anyway. I have friends that perform at places like skully's and such and I would gladly forego consuming alcohol if it meant I could carry a firearm. I hate having to choose between eating good food or watching a band, or protecting myself. Why can't I do both?
-
beer tastes better than pop. When someone says you can't be in posession of a firearm if you have been drinking, what's the time constraint on that? If I have been drinking 3hrs ago? What about 8hrs ago? That's always open to interpetation. At what point after having a beer is it OK to to come into posession of your firearm again?

I am not admitting to one thing one way or the other. That being said, as the law stands, I agree the law SHOULD be as it is, not drinking and carrying a gun. I know people that drink to get stupid and choose not to control themselves (which seems to be the majority) which is why we need laws like this. However, if somone stops by a freinds house and has a beer while he is carrying, I don't look down on them for it so long as they aren't an idiot. I have friends who I wouldn't blink an eye at for carrying and having a beer with me. Then there are others just just shouldn't own a gun at all, let alon drink with one...
