  1. That's what I thought. I don't get where people think there is a specified amount of time that you have to be stopped at a stop sign.
  2. Buddy of mine down here just bought a '14 GT. Went in to Ford for 6000mi oil change. Got it home and heard knocking noise. Took it back to Ford. 2wks later, they tell him its a broken wrist pin. Good times. Sales adviser told him he may be getting a '15 long block replacement, so fingers crossed that's what happens.
  3. I personally know a few guys down here with exhaust and tune put down 400whp which aint too shabby.

The opinion of some of the old school DSM builders here in DFW is that Precision did the best job at a converter that works for the 1G. better than Sinister, Stock restalls, etc. It's just too bad they are so hard to find now. Anywho, enough with POS Mitsu Sh*tboxes. What's you plan then for the 5.0?
  5. Yeah, that thing moves out. Launches hard. He was fortunate enough when he bought that car to have a precision converter that came with it, which is no longer made. It's an HX40 no nitrous car, and was on street tires in that race.
  6. The other vid is from the finish but is on FB, not youtube. DSM has him beat by over a bus. I guess CTS-V was spinning through 3rd. Supposedly 700whp. I believe that a roll race would have had drastically different outcome. Good race either way though. I may be running that V on the 21st, so we will see what happens. I'm not as fast as the DSM in that vid, so it should be a much closer race, and i'll be on street tires.
  7. Pavo, you know your heart still belongs to auto DSM's...and one day, you will return. This happened last night. These two guys have been talking some serious sh*t to each other for the last couple weeks. Well, it finally went down last night. I don't like the guy that drives the Talon, but he whoops the sh*t out of this modded V. Guy in the V was going on and on about how the DSM's "ass was about to get drug." Needless to say, that's not what happened.
  8. Does OH law state 3sec? Here in TX, I couldn't find anything stating 3 sec. Just says complete stop, which puts things at the officer's discretion, which is absolute BS.

  10. I am not brave enough to try to push these stock blocks hard enough to be where I want to be power wise. There are some fast stock blocked DSM's out there though, so i'm not saying it can't be done; I just don't think it's done as often as some people try to make other's believe. Here is a guy that's been pushing his stock block and ebay turbo pretty hard these last few weeks, (if indeed he is being truthful about the bottom end being stock).
  11. It wasn't an attack on you. I was elaborating on what you heard with actual fact so the OP doesn't have to go on hearsay. As for what I'm putting down with my car...it's not on a stock block, so how long my current motor lasts would have no bearing on your previous statement on what stock 4g blocks can "handle." Same goes for previous motor. It lasted 3yrs between 25-35psi on a big turbo before breaking a wrist pin on eagle/ross combo. That was the motor I was trapping 130+ with. I know of several stock blocks that have let go at less than 500hp.
  12. I call BS. Can 500whp be made with stock blocks? Sure. Is the stock block going to last at that power level? No. That's one of the issues I have with everyone on dsmtuners telling newbs they can make 500whp with a stock block. How many people out there are making 500whp on a stock block and putting legit miles on the car? Every stock block making 500+ I have seen has been pretty much a race car. Not something with 100mi weekend cruises every weekend and being used to run errands during the week. I am sure it is perhaps possible to be done by a select few, but that would be the exception, not the rule.

  14. Depends what "reliable" is. We will see how long this new 4G63 lasts. Last motor trapped 130.75, which is what 550WHP manuals trap, so obviously its making more than that at the crank. Had it for about 3yrs then wrist pin popped. I have much better wrist pins in there now. Also, it wasn't a track only car. Full interior, would put 100mi or so cruising on nice weekends and would use it to run errands.

  19. Got a chance to go hunting with Jeff and his apprentice today. Got a ton of footage, but only a little bit video worthy. First vid, hawk goes for rabbit, catches it, then rabbit escapes. 2nd vid is the hawk catching another rabbit. This one did not escape. Then the 3rd vid is his 2nd hawk, who was being super lazy today and not even trying to catch rabbits until the end, as it comes back, it decides to land on my gopro instead of Jeff's T Pearch. THis was a most awesome experience and I look forward to participating again.
