No. My old roommate had a htc one and it has an IR port on it. he had no issues programming it to the tv. Keep in mind though, it did NOT work with the cable box. My GS4 has one. Never thought about using it though.

Dont be fooled by jackasses post. Those speeds are limited to a very small area within columbus. If you are outside the outerbelt you can forget it. Swtich back to VZW. We just switched to them from sprint and couldnt be happier. We were getting those same DL speeds from sprint.
