I'll take your word for it on the rest of it, but, I think my coworkers would be much more impressed by an Evo 9 than a GTO. I think most people in general, would be more impressed. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/Omally23/evo.jpg > http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/Omally23/GTO.jpg

What about a BOV is ricey. I don't understand. This is Rice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-zdsIYWRqY This is Not:
-
You're just mad because your Audi doesn't have one. also, the fact that you think your Audi is nicer looking than my Mustang is laughable.
-
No, that would make me a ricer. If that Supra doesn't sound like sex to you, you need new ears. Find me a better sounding car than that. That exhaust BOV combination is Godly.
-
I'm not a hollister fag. And how can you say this doesn't sound sexy as hell? ~45 seconds in and 1 minute in.
-
A. Why's everyone hate on SRT-4's? B. Alot of people agree with me that Turbo cars are better than V8's. Also, that is just my own personal preference, whether true or not. C. I wasn't the douche sayin AWD was the shit. I don't care. That was BDAZGSX. D. Do you honestly believe his Audi is nicer LOOKING than my mustang? Its way faster, way better interior, way better to drive, way more comfortable. Better EVERYTHING. But mine is WAAAAAAYYYYY better looking.
-
why is my mustang annoying? lol. Mustangs are sweet looking. V6's look just as nice as V8's lol, even though theyre dramatically slower. Sorry your Audi just looks like an average sedan
-
red cars are not for girls. my car is red AND manly (looking atleast lol). why have like 5 different people in this thread bashed on Neon SRT-4's? THEY'RE FUCKING SWEET! They are the 5th fastest car listed in this thread, out of 22 listed. If you count the evo 8, 9, and 10 together then SRT-4's are the third fastest. Why so much hate? they hardly look like neons with the body kit and wing.
-
+1 no, i'm not retarded. people agree with me. I like your advice. I agree with you. My plan is to grab up a real nice turbo car. Over my first 3-4 years of owning it i'll have a little extra money to play with and i'll buy some nice aftermarket parts. 500awhp really isn't my goal. I want a reliable, long lasting car as much as i want a fast car. So i wont' be cranking the boost up tooooo high.
-
i looked on that list with the fastest times on CR. said STi on there. I realize subarus are terrible on insurance, and everyone and their mother has one, theyre last on my list, but affordable, so theyre still on it. what the man is saying is that it is a misconception that they DO defy physics. So. He is saying that they do NOT defy physics.
-
+1 for the man and his STi, which i envy.

Lol i don't want a V8. Theyre not that sweet. I've seen the cars i've listed shit on plenty of V8's. The mazdaspeed 6 and evo 8 are both awd. 2 of my main choices. AWD always better than front or rear. Its the same thing with a turbo car. Not too hardcore of mods and you can get way more horsepower than a V8. And a turbo car gets way better mpg if not driven hard. @Ry Trapp0. Its a realistic dream. I've always done excellent in school. So far at OSU i have a cumulative 3.8. My parents are paying for my school and housing until i graduate (house or dorm). I have a summer job guaranteed because my best friends dad is the President of the company. 6000 a summer for the next 3 summers. 40% of that 18,000 is going straight to my car (7,200) and i'm going to get an on campus job during the next 3 school years. Dreams are very attainable, as BDAZGSX has stated. boosted is right, typical V8 talk. Turbo cars have way more potential than V8's. Evo's and STi's make 500-600 awhp with the amount of money it takes a V8 to reach 400-500rwhp.

Exactly what i'm looking for. A fast, light turbo car, tons of mods available, good on gas.
-
Three very nice cars. Just not what i'm looking for. Never liked trans am's. I need a turbo car. Good on gas, lots of power, lighter.
-
2,000 for a mustang with 90,000 miles? i'm not gonna sell it to some dealer. I'll find some teenage kid who wants a "fast" car and get atleast 5000 out of his parents.

http://www.cars.com/for-sale/searchresults.action?sf1Dir=ASC&mkId=20015&mdId=21712&crSrtFlds=stkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId-yrId-trId&rd=100000&zc=43068&PMmt=1-1-1&stkTypId=28881&sf2Dir=DESC&sf1Nm=miles&yrId=20142&yrId=20197&sf2Nm=price&trId=29632&rpp=50&feedSegId=28705&searchSource=UTILITY&pgId=2102&rn=150 my year, expected mileage at time of sale, all between $5000-8000. Plus my car has 2500 in aftermarket parts. I won't purchase a car until i have my career job. That is not all my savings either. Everything i earn from this point forward: 20% spend, 40% car, 40% saving. So i'll have saved up for everyday life as much as i save up for a car. Because i plan to not purchase until i'm employed, i will be making enough money to cover insurance (not to mention i could tap into that "savings" if needed) and maintanence, as well as aftermarket parts (which will be accumulated over time as i have enough extra money, not all at once). I think i'll be able to do it. Even if things don't go as well as i plan, with a small loan i'll def have at minimum in the low teens of thousands. 12-13. Thats plenty to buy a wrx, srt4, or cobalt ss with 50-60,000 miles
-
All very good reasons, thanks man. I'll definitely have to strongly consider the 8, especially because the 9 and 10 are def out of my price range. To the rest of you: By the time i graduate (3 years from now) i anticipate having saved up around $10,000 dollars. add selling my stang to that (5000-6000 because it will still have less than 100k miles then), so thats about $15,000 I'm willing to take out a fairly small loan, so that takes my price range up to about 20,000, which covers a good used low mileage car from this list. I won't be shooting for an Audi because of price and cost of maintanence. I don't want DSM and it's said to be costly maintanence as well. I probably won't be able to afford an Evo 9, 10, STi, or Supra. Other than that, yah, i'll definitely have one of these cars. Most likely an SRT-4, Cobalt SS, Mazdaspeed 6, Evo 8, or WRX. Maybe i'll only save 8 grand, sell my car for 4, and take out a loan, but thats still 12 grand plus say a 3 grand loan, 15,000 will buy me a low mileage(<40,000) used car from that list.

Awesome thanks for the help guys. That definitely sounds like a very sound diagnosis. He's gonna take a look at it tomorrow or the next day. Thanks a bunch.
-
damn a jaguar in the upper teens? that'd be pretty sick. I'm def wanting a turbo car though.
-
what does that mean lol? blower is the resistor, do you mean blower as in supercharger? his is not the supercharged model.

Its my dad's car, here's his description of the problems: "At first, the heater fan only worked on high. If I tried another setting, it would not work and if I turned it back to high, then that would not work either. As long as I left it on high, it worked most of time. Cruise control only worked once in a while. The “CRUISE” light on the dashboard flickered off and on. The rear defogger worked more than the cruise control, but it frequently did not work either. Over time, the heater fan worked less and less. There was one four day spell when it didn’t work at all. At times, “pumping” the temperature sliders up and down or pumping the fan speed control off and on caused it to start working again – on high only. Took it to a car repair place, everything worked fine. They didn’t do anything, but it worked just fine for about a week then it failed. A/C currently not working. Also, the rear driver side window has stopped working." My diagnosis is a possible electrical problem. They read some internet article talking about software plug ins, but that doesn't really sound like the problem to me. What do you all think? Thanks, -Kevin
-
thats sick. i had no idea they could be that fast. and with not a gigantic amount of mods either. me likey.
-
are you saying cobalts have shitty tranny's and should be avoided ? i added them because of you
-
Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice added to the list. Both have: 2.0L I4 @ 260hp, 0-60 in 5.5, 1/4 mile in 13.9 2 quick little cars. Not too bad pricewise. about $21,000 for a car with 20,000 miles. Also added: The Volvo S60R (2000-2009) 2.5L I4 @ 300hp, 0-60 in 5.5, 1/4 mile in 14.0

Volvo makes an awesome car? lol I've seen s60's around, never thought they were anything special, whatre they packin?
