  1. What mags are you trying to have made? Is it that rare? Seems that it would cost way more for someone to make some copies than to find some originals for sale on Gunbroker, etc.
  2. This is a Stevens Model 62 made by Savage. Caliber is .22LR and it's a semi-auto. Cheap fun!! It's missing the 10 round magazine but comes with TASCO 4x scope. Rifle is in very good shape with very few handling marks and just a couple of very tiny spots of surface corrosion on the bolt (see photo) and on the barrel, although it's so faint I couldn't capture it in the photos. There is also some minor wear in the bluing at the muzzle (see photo). The bore is in excellent shape and looks like new - mirror bright and sharp rifling. Trigger pull is pretty good for a factory .22LR in this price range. It's much nicer than the Ruger 10/22 factory triggers. Priced to sell @ $100! May consider trades or partial trades for ammo in military calibers. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/IMG_3167.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/IMG_3164.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/IMG_3170.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/IMG_3168.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/IMG_3171.jpg

    Surplus Guns

Oh crap. I forgot that you have to have an FFL to view their firearms. You can apply for your FFL03 ($30 for 3 years) and then send it to SOG and they will set you up with an account. There are many advantages of having your FFL03, including significant discounts at places like Midway USA, Brownells, etc. and more importantly, you can order these C&R firearms like the M39s directly with no dealer transfer. They ship it directly to your house. Just one C&R purchase and you've already paid for the license! If you don't want to get your FFL03, you can have your favorite dealer order directly from SOG for you. They will likely mark it up a little, but even at $300 these VKT M39's are still a bargain and will only go up in value. Fantastic shooters with a nice heavy barrel and stock as well as very nice triggers. Not your typical Mosin Nagant rifle by far.

    Surplus Guns

Southern Ohio Guns has M39s for sale. They have VKT (Valmet) for $230, B barrels for $230, Tikkas and Sakos for $495. The VKT or B Barrels are the ones to get. The Tikka and Sakos are over priced. Here's the one I got from SOG... http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/M39/P1010037.jpg
  5. So you are linked to that firearm in their log book. It's good to have proof that you sold it in case it turns up at a crime scene but it is not required by law.
  6. If you bought it from a dealer, there will be a link to you. It will be in the dealer's log book.
  7. I don't care how much money he raises he's still not getting my vote. Fortunately, there's plenty of voters in the Country that feel the same way. It's time for real change.
  8. Those are nice Daddy's Boy! What part of the State did you find them?
  9. Great find! 4lbs would be nice.... I went morel hunting this morning and found a bunch of small esculentas. They were all too small to pick. It's about a week or two early up in the northern part of Ohio. BTW, the esculentas look gray when they are small and turn yellow when they mature. Edit: Here's some pics... http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/IMG_3019.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/IMG_3021.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/IMG_3015.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/IMG_3016.jpg
  10. Excellent photos! Thanks for spending the time and effort to document.
  11. The Glock pistol is a proven design and one of the most reliable pistols available. Period. great value.
  12. Try Del-ton.com next time. Cancel your back ordered pieces and get them elsewhere.
  13. Bump for a very neat rifle. These things are pretty scarce and are built like a mini Hakim. Certainly a piece that will appreciate in time...
  14. How about a quantity discount for transfers. Maybe $200 for 1 year of unlimited transfers.

    S&W M&P15R....

If you don't mind the cleaning, 5.45x39 is certainly less expensive ammo. Do some searching around on some of the AR15 forums and see if anyone is having problems with the lacquered steel cases. I wonder if S&W designed their chamber dimensions with steel cased ammo in mind? Probably did.

    S&W M&P15R....

There were some problems with the bore diameters (slightly too big) on these at one point in time which resulted in keyholing (poor bullet stabilization where the bullet hits the target sideways). If you are buying new, hopefully they have resolved the issue. Be aware that the ALL of the cheap surplus ammo in the 5.45x39 caliber is "corrosive". This means that a thorough cleaning after each range trip is essential to prevent corrosion. Personally, I'd stay away from these as there is no advantage over the 5.56x45 round and because of the direct impingment gas system, it will be difficult and time consuming to clean the corrosive residue.
  18. Those are both Romanian PSL54C rifles. I can't afford a real SVD Dragunov as they sell for $8,000-$15,000. Even the Chinese copies (NDM-86) are going for $4,000 these days.
  19. Wait for Centerfire Systems to get their next shipment... The PSL54C rifles are out of stock at most places right now until the next shipment arrives from Romania. Great rifles and worth the wait... BTW they are not the same rifle as the Russian SVD DRAGUNOV rifles, although they look similar and fire the same cartridge. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/PSL54C/IMG_2664.jpg
