  1. First coat of 2K primer: http://i.imgur.com/JkZftVv.jpg?1
  2. So i almost fell through the floor of this thing when i started walking to the bow. Everything on the biggest was nice, except the rotted floor. Needless to say, i didn't buy it.
  3. I assume I'll only be able to see what structure is visible from the ski locker. Any suggestions on how to check the rest? How do you check the gimble bearing? Run the engine in gear and take it to extremes (full trim and full lock steering?)?
  4. I don't really have a set budget, but ~$2000 for this one is appealing to me. Primarily, I'll be out on Indian Lake or St Marys or Ceasers Creek putting around, probably some tubing etc, but mostly relaxing.
  5. This guys asking price for this boat is in the 2k range. If its rotted, i may wait it out a bit until the cold season when prices drop.
  6. Just walk on it and check for soft spots? Does soft necessarily mean rotted?
  7. Going friday to look at my first "real boat". I own a late 80s norris craft bass boat with a 200 merc outboard, but I'm looking to get into something a little more family friendly. Found a 1989 Bayliner Capri with a rebuilt 5.0L ford small block. Anything to look out for on these? I've done some research online, and saw some stuff about questionable hulls? Any advice? Things to look for?
  8. Anyone ever use Summits house brand of single stage paint? I've heard it might be Kirker brand re-labeled. The price is hard to beat (<200$ for everything). I imagine it will be a suitable finish for what the truck is going to be used for.
  9. Did the master cylinder and lines bleed out when you were swapping calipers when you had the lines off?
  10. That's pretty odd. Do you think one of the lines might be clogged? I'm assuming you've tried gravity bleeding them already?
  11. http://www.harborfreight.com/pneumatic-brake-fluid-bleeder-61912.html I know it's not exactly what you're looking for but I've had one of these for a while now and they make bleeding brakes cake work.
  12. A mix of booze and physics along with an irrigation ditch in my back field.
  13. Holy picture?! Anyone know how to easily re-size these?
  14. Then about three weeks after it was all said and done, this happened: http://i.imgur.com/dA5cO25.jpg http://i.imgur.com/xrBf220.jpg Luckily, everyone walked away. I was actually able to drive it out of my woods and back into my barn. :fuckyeah: Pulled the cab and bed off the truck: http://i.imgur.com/6eLdjKW.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wCOhisg.jpg Picked up the start of a flatbed from a member on here. Bought this rust free Arizona cab from Upper Sandusky: http://i.imgur.com/MGA6rnp.jpg And now I'm preparing to paint the cab along with all the new fenders and doors to put it all back together.
  15. Started out a few years back when I picked this up. Wanted a beater truck to go play in the woods with. Already had a 3" body lift: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y124/Stebbins97/Dodge.jpg It had the normal old truck rust everywhere. I wanted to go bigger with it. So I bought a 6" suspension lift from rough country. http://i.imgur.com/XROj4bI.jpg Found a good deal on used Military Humvee 37" tires and wheels, so I picked those up and had a buddy weld me up this tubular bumper. Also was able to make one of the billet K5 blazer grill inserts fit wit a little trimming. http://i.imgur.com/B6IyyU6.jpg So then I had this: http://i.imgur.com/zzUfHEZ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/FgHT3cB.jpg Decided to address the rust issues, not really knowing how bad it all was...Ended up replacing both rocker panels, both bed side sections, a cab corner, both front floor boards, and a rear section of floor boards: http://i.imgur.com/x3xoOco.jpg http://i.imgur.com/MaD8dqd.jpg http://i.imgur.com/glWOrim.jpg http://i.imgur.com/cAB2TOe.jpg http://i.imgur.com/FlHITFz.jpg http://i.imgur.com/DVZHjy0.jpg http://i.imgur.com/eOZzuKe.jpg http://i.imgur.com/nyvXMvy.jpg http://i.imgur.com/T3dYRLW.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ybYlMBQ.jpg
  16. Completely understand. PM me the address and shop hours. I'm usually around Columbus atleast once every other week. Thanks.
  17. Actually Interested. Did some quick internet research and there's mixed reviews of the products.
