  1. Looking for some input on these. Our oldest is 6 and is really too tall for the power wheels toys. So we thought about the small engine go karts for use at my parents 14 acres or the MIL's 1 acre flat open yard. Would you recommend this route? The youngest is 3 and we wanted to get them both a power wheels but we're afraid the oldest is going to outgrow it and be left out. Not looking at buying right away, just want some insight and thoughts.
  2. No problem. Typed this up quickly yesterday at work. Also vehicle only had 6 miles on it.
  3. The company was going to scrap them. I had to buy them from them to sell them. They wouldn't just let me have them because I don't own a jeep.
  4. base model 4 door. Ill post pics of the barcodes on lunch.
  5. I have from a brand new jeep wrangler, the stock shocks and springs. A customer wanted a lift installed and we were going to scrap the stock parts. Someone offer me 200.00 obo and they can have them.
  6. well the wife clarified what she was upset about. Its not the job so much as it was my tool bill. Which I will have paid off in a month. After talking with the manager about time frame and when I will be moving up, he said his long term goal is in 5 years I will be doing all the big jobs(engine tear down and replacement, transmission rebuilds ect), short term is in a couple months i will be moving into flat rate. His reasoning is instead of dumping me in headfirst he was going to slowly ease me into the new stuff as I have no experience.
  7. Business is too inconsistent. At the time I looked into taking over, I was the only one working as the wife was pregnant and she had horrible morning sickness. So she wasn't able to work. Then she was in school.
  8. Funny you mention this. I have a background in water wells. My dad owns his own water well business. But with everyone changing to city water business has been very slow.
  9. Our master tech only got 25 hours last week. Due to warranty work. Granted he makes over 30/hr but still...
  10. I know. I lucked into what I have. Which is also holding me back on my decisions.
  11. I'm not very good at math, but the wife is. If I'm interested in something and I really want to do it then I usually am able to do well. School wise it would be for the surgical tech which there are 9 month courses as well as 2 year. I would go for the 2 year and get a degree rather than a certificate, seems a degree would be better. Not sure what there is odnr wise havent looked there. As for the job offers, I appreciate them, but unfortunately I would need a 9am job and out in time to get the kids so the wife can work her overnight shifts. She works 7-7, and I take the 6yo to school at 815.
  12. They pushed back making me flat rate for who knows how long now. They hired another level 3 tech which means another "mouth to feed" as far as work and flat rate hours go. They actually hired 2 but the other guy had us store his tools for 3 days and then got another job, this being after we paid for him to move out here from Arizona. The wife and I were budgeting and making a save money back plan and realized that as of right now after I pay my tool bills and the new car payment, which doubled our insurance, I am making somewhere between 3 and 5 dollars an hour. My tool bills are only about 800 ish as of right now, but as I move up I'll need more. She is pushing for me to think about a career change so that we can actually save some money. My flat rate hours are ranging from 8 to 16/ week. I'm not doing many jobs that are a flat rate job but with the other guy they hired my chances of getting more flat rate jobs are slim. I like what I'm doing here and I am learning a lot. But the money just isn't here. There are 2 career paths that im tossing around right now, one is surgical tech. which is what I started going to school for right after graduation, and the other would be something in the ODNR field. Not sure on the pay scale or jobs availability for ODNR right now, haven't really looked into it much yet. Surgical tech would have good benefits and relativly decent hours and pay. Any advice or opinions?
  13. For the laser tag we would need a group of 20+ and it's $300 for an hour.
  14. I grabbed a flyer while I was there. 10 driver minimum for the different races. Prices start at 620 for the cheapest group price. We paid 58 dollars for 3 heats each person. Nothing on the flyer for the laser tag though. I'll email them tomorrow.
  15. So in this kind of racing, are you supposed to move over and let the guy pass? Seems like a lot of them just moved to the side instead of blocking. Or is that against the rules?
  16. I'll look into it on Sunday when we go.
  17. Price drop- $700. That's what I paid for the car
  18. this one has different scenarios, they even have a zombie mode
