  1. So im guessing this has been addressed here before but anyways, my premiums are sky high due to a failure to control and wreckless op within the past 2 years. Recently picked up another Lexus and am debating on putting it in either my brothers or fathers name, then having them get insurance on it. I've done this before in years past and have been listed as a "driver", however this time im probably not going to list myself on the policy as the policy will likely jump with the addition of my name/license. So question, can I just have have my father/brother insure it as one of there vehicles, then I "occasionally" drive it? What happens if I get in an accident? will insurance bitch up a storm because I wasn't listed as a driver?
  2. what kind of car btw? and a deposit with no photo ID, youch. On a related note I offered and sent a $500 down payment to a guy in Dayton for my last SC300 (no I.D. no nothing, first name basis). He had it priced ridiculously low and I knew it was probably going to be gone by the time I could get up there to take a look. Thought for sure he was just going to bail with my money and sell it to someone else, but nope, he held the car for a week and I came and got it . So yea, there are good people on craigslist. Best thing to do on craigslist is contact the seller multiple times via phone. A voice to voice convo usually brings out all but the best scammmers.

  4. And last but not least make sure your setup isn't going to kill you. I can't stress this enough. Water,Electricity and High-Itensity Discharge lighting can create a life-threatening situation in a heartbeat. Plan for the worse case scenario; don't run any wiring/components on the ground, make sure your lighting is hella-secured to the ceiling, and run digital ballasts for HID's. Back in the day I had an old school 1000 Watt iron ballast go bad and short-circuit, turned into massive 120V Iron resistor (for those of you familiar with resistors they tend to generate alot of heat). Walked in and found the whole room cloudy with smoke, the ballast case was so hot it had melted the laminate flooring clear down to the stone tile beneath. Had it been sitting on carpet or wood I probably wouldn't be here right now...
  5. Ok but here's the deal with organic nutes, if you have the wrong concentrations they can often lead to bacteria/fungi, you get hit with fungi/bacteria just kiss your entire set-up goodbye...That crap is a nightmare to get rid of. If you're running chemical nutes/aeroponic setup and you get the wrong concentrations you really just run the risk of your plants getting irritated, at that point all you often need to do is flush the mixture out and start with a fresh batch (of nutrients). Much easier, and much less risk. Trust me i've been there, nothing worse then thriving lush plants for two weeks then all of the sudden they begin to die overnight due to a bacterial/fungi attack (which you can do almost nothing to stop) it's heartbreaking.
  6. Sorry, twas hit with the banhamer (obama_fried_chicken.jpg Phill u mad :gabe:) At any rate no, the successes are not false, but keep in mind there is a learning curve to anything aqua, alot of those guys are probably pros and have learned how to keep bacteria/fungi at bay. When your first starting off it's a good idea to stay away from organic nutrients untill you get a handle on things (primarily the specs of your setup, I.E. how cool it will run, how adequate the ventilation is etc.). Once you've had a couple successful grows under your belt with chemical nutes then is the time to probably switch over and try something organic.
  7. Personally I would shy away from the whole aquaponics deal itself, any organic fertilizer (ex. fish poo) can cause serious bacterial/fungal problems in hydro-based systems.
  8. Dont use any organic-based fertilizer, as it will welcome fungi/bacteria. Also look into aeroponics over aqua, usually produces better results (depends on what, erm, "vegetables" being grown). Also keep your water temps down in the 60's-70's, anything above that and bacteria will rapidly begin to develop. Once your setup is contaminated with fungi/bacteria you can kiss it goodbye.
  9. Actually have stopped going to Walmart almost entirely because of the poor service (Bethel rd). I don't give a fuck if I spend 5 extra bucks at Kroger, just as long as I don't have to wait in lines back into the clothing isles.
  10. Then be expected to loose a large chunk of your customer base. I didn't eat at Donatos for years because of there shit pizza quality / customer service.
  11. SC300 (get one rust-free from Charlotte NC, there's tons of em down there)
  12. was wondering what happened to him too...
  13. Something about the spandex combined with the angle of the handlebars makes watching the video difficult, even though he does pull off some bad-ass moves...
  14. I thought zddp got phased-out of most diesel oils?? I just use synthetic oil + a (blue) bottle of STP Oil Additive, its more or less a straight shot of pure zddp (well not really, but you get the point)
  15. No shit chrome has a no-script add on too?
  16. Anti Virus is a Joke anymore. Any professional-grade hacker can easily circumvent 75% of all known "anti-viruses". If you think you are safe with any Anti-Virus software you are sorely, sorely mistaken. Best virus protection is to use your head, and Firefox with the no-script add on http://www.noscript.net
  17. Doesn't the law say "the furthest forward portion on the front of the car" I thought I read that on here.
