  1. Not a bad idea- I do intend on either powdercoating the stock wheels or getting some sort of black wheel. For the first time ever, I actually bought the wheel/tire package through the dealer. $10/month but it covers aftermarket wheels (except Chrome) and tires for the life of my loan. Curbing, bending, potholes, blown out tires, etc. Yup, as Taylor mentions below, that's on the list. Good call. I didn't realize the front end has changed...50 miles on the car so far and it's fun as hell. It's surprisingly fast! And yeah, white DEFINITELY pops on this car.
  2. Well, here she is. Trying to get something set up at Slomo to install my stage 2 downpipe and then TC Kline is doing my APR flash. That’ll put the car around 270whp/320wtq. I’ll take it. Truck is gone too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I just don't get it...beautiful. You're a wizard Harry.
  4. I'm finding these F150's that have 150k or so for 5-6k. Like 05-07 (which is the doomed 5.4L) but like I said, I may only drive it 5k miles the whole time I own it.
  5. I looked more into the Frontier's and their truck load just isn't what I need. A few weeks ago I had 2-3k lbs in the back of my truck for the house I'm flipping. No way a Frontier or V6 could handle that. And yeah, I do tow things on occasion. Probably once a year, and I'd like to be able to have that ability if needed. The gas on 3k miles a year is minimal in the grand scheme of things.
  6. Ha- if I don't do this now, my truck continues to depreciate (it was getting close to 60k miles) and this will motivate me to actually make the jump to RE full time. Otherwise I'll just keep diddling my asshole until I'm 60 and still working in corporate. Definitely- plans are simple. Ordered an APR DP and then will pay the $500 to tune it stage 2. Adds 70hp with 93 octane.

    WTB: Truck

Looking for a "nice" work truck. A few requirements: 4x4 V8 Not completely rusted the hell out (rules out most Silverado's) Prefer something with power windows/locks/etc. At least 4 door extended cab...no 2 seaters. Prefer 6 ft+ bed I have found a few F150's that seem to fit my bill, both are 150-160k miles. I will only drive it 3-5k miles a year so not really worried about mileage (unless it has like 350k) Trying to stay within 5-7k. Anyone have something that fits the bill before I pull the trigger on one of these others?
  8. Yeah lol I have no interest in a 300 anyways. Just not my style at all. BMW is gone (Steve-O), truck is gone tomorrow (Ricart gave me 23k). Picking up the GLI tonight and now looking for a decent truck (5-7k)
  9. I bought the 2016. Think I got a pretty good deal and I’ve got APR stage 2 stuff on the way.
  10. Just went and test drove the 16. Fuck it was a nice car. Chris/Kickass- yeah man, at first it was non negotiable, BUT, AWD typically means worse MPG, and really you only need AWD like what, 7-10 days a year? I can drive my (soon to be new) truck if needed. That'll be 4wd for sure.
  11. Dog. Those Sonata's are 28k after you add leather and they're ugly as fuck. Like make me want to puke ugly. Yeah, Steve texted me a SHO a few days ago and the MPG is just too close to the truck. I did the numbers on the 2016 vs. 2018. It'd be around a $60 difference a month for the 2018. Obviously the upside is a longer warranty, brand new car, new tires, farther from maintenance, etc. Downside is $60 a month, ha.
  12. Found a white 2016 at Byer's VW for 21k. It has 18k miles, clean Carfax, auto, fully loaded, etc. Think I might go test drive it on lunch. https://www.columbusvw.com/certified/Volkswagen/2016-Volkswagen-Jetta-b4ba80210a0e0adf483107958cadf2eb.htm Still can't help but wonder if a brand spanking new 2018 is a better idea...there's a white one (damn near the exact same car) at Hatfield for 26k. With the 2% difference in financing and maybe some other incentives, I may be able to get it for only like $30-40 more per month. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=472418572&zip=43205&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D43205%26startYear%3D2015%26maxMileage%3D30000%26incremental%3Dall%26endYear%3D2019%26modelCodeList%3DJET%26makeCodeList%3DVOLKS%26minPrice%3D11000%26sortBy%3Drelevance%26maxPrice%3D28000%26firstRecord%3D0%26searchRadius%3D100%26trimCodeList%3DJET%257CGLI%252CJET%257CGL%2BTDI%252CJET%257CGL%252CJET%257CGLI%2BAutobahn&minPrice=11000&startYear=2015&numRecords=25&maxPrice=28000&firstRecord=0&endYear=2019&modelCodeList=JET&makeCodeList=VOLKS&searchRadius=100&makeCode1=VOLKS&modelCode1=JET
  13. Not sure if that's sarcasm or whatever, but my rentals are far from slum. I'll assume it was a joke. Lol I used to have a purple/"plum" ATS. Although it had a black interior and was AWD...I'll occasionally smoke a cigar so maybe it smelled like that. Yeah I've thought about maybe waiting 1-2 months and seeing if I can get a really good deal on a 2018 as they try to clear them off the lot. I'll definitely reach out if I have any questions!
  14. Good to know, I'll definitely check this out when I'm test driving. I have honestly never had another adult in my back seat, ever. And it'll be better than my truck. While I agree, you also have to manage perception the other way, looking too snobby. If I roll up in a Lambo, people are going to try to work my commission (3% down to 2%) because I "already have enough money". This car seems modest but checks all the boxes. I would never have one of my tenants in my car, ha! My clients will be buyers/seller, the rentals are just my passive income. My best friend has been an agent for 7 years and only had clients in his car (535i) one time. So that really isn't a concern (see above).
  15. I'm having a hard time beating this: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=452737106&zip=43205&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D43205%26keywordPhrases%3Dleather%26startYear%3D2014%26sortBy%3Drelevance%26maxPrice%3D22000%26incremental%3Dall%26firstRecord%3D0%26endYear%3D2019%26modelCodeList%3DJET%26makeCodeList%3DVOLKS%26searchRadius%3D100%26trimCodeList%3DJET%257CGLI%252CJET%257CGL%2BTDI%252CJET%257CGL&startYear=2014&numRecords=25&maxPrice=22000&firstRecord=0&endYear=2019&modelCodeList=JET&makeCodeList=VOLKS&searchRadius=100&makeCode1=VOLKS&modelCode1=JET This one is a manual, but if I could find this exact car in an auto, I'm sold. May go drive one tomorrow night.
  16. Those are popping up on almost all my searches, but like 100% not my style. Couldn't see myself driving one...thanks for the suggestion though!
  17. Dude this is going to sound so dumb and I'm sure you guys will never let me live this down: my ex girlfriends fuckboy ex boyfriend used to drive a 250 and I used to make fun of him for it. So, I can never own one purely out of principal. Jokes on me: he went out and bought a legit F sport. Ha.
  18. yeah, I actually had one of those pop up on a search that was called a GLI but was actually a CC so I did a bit more research. Awesome looking cars but the MPG is only 5-6 better than my truck...not worth it. Good to know man, thanks! I really think it's going to be a GLI. Now it's just finding one for the right price. I'll also be buying a truck so not totally worried about winter. Snow tires are a good fix. How much is that DSG service?
  19. You ever been to an all-inclusive? I'm as busy body as they come, and you're active the whole time while you're there. On a cruise, you can't fucking focus on anything because you're constantly on the move. A lot of people hate cruises for that reason. At an all inclusive, you can just do whatever you want and aren't obligated to do the cruise activities.
  20. Don't do a cruise, do an all-inclusive in one location. /thread.
  21. I'm having a hard time finding anything better than these GLI's. It's a ton of car for the money and seems to check EVERY box except AWD.
  22. What are the thoughts on a 1.8T Passat R-Line? Few good deals out there on those.
