didn't know they made 11th place throphys ......
awesome job though
I know it sounds kind of 'Mickey Mouse' but it all depends on the size of the class. Honestly, in the Autocross world if you can trophy at Nationals, you are typically pretty happy about it....especially being my first trip out.
hopefully next year I can take my own car out that I know a little better.....

Here is my fastest East Course run. I will get the West Course run up tomorrow night.

30 months of even worse traffic... Great.
This ^^ Traffic will be AWFUL leading up to the completion of this

Next time you drive the car, put it in 5th gear and go about 20mph. Leave it in 5th and put your foot to the floor at 20mph. If the mph gradually come up like it should then it's more than likely ok, if the RPM's start to climb quickly or jump, then your clutch is probably slipping....that is a quick and easy test....
Have you tried bleeding the slave? And where is the engagement of the clutch? At the very bottom of the pedal travel right before it hits the floor, or in the middle or somewhere at the top?

Agreed, on the right line. Car in front of you was off line for sure....I think that is Rob and Brian's car in front of you. Glad you kept your cool and was able to really minimize the damage. Sand trap did it's job, which is good.

FYI - Ring time: 6:57
Beat me to it....but here's the on-board of the full lap. Any sub-7 minute lap on the Ring is a big accomplishment in my book.......Enjoy!

Quick update:
Back from Nationals. Based on the fact that I jumped in a car I'd never driven, had a handful of runs on the small test and tune track, and then competed, I'm happy with 11th place out of 59 drivers in the class. Trophies went to 16th in the class. Car was loose all weekend, and even more loose than I am used to and like.
Looking for my own car now to take back for next year. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Having a blast so far. The competition here is absolutely amazing.
My first day of running is tomorrow. My first run will probably be around 9:30ish if anyone wants to follow along. I get 3 runs tomorrow.
I will post pics later.

Thanks all....I have no idea what to expect with the amount of talent that will be at this event. I will be ECSTATIC if I can bring back some hardware.
I forgot to add that you can follow here 'live' the day of the events. I'll post back in this thread when I have a better idea of when I run. SCCA runs a live UStream feed with stationary cameras and stream the announcer.
