  1. Who cares if its clean as long as it runs good and doesn't have a crack in a cylinder?
  2. My 99 weighs 3910 with me and a full tank of gas. I weigh 160.
  3. Call IPS. They pulled a 5.7 out of a TA for a 404 upgrade. Maybe the customer is selling the stock motor for a good price. Here's the link to the thread about the car being upgraded. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103921
  4. If that"s the one I sold you, it only has 55,000 miles on it.
  5. The last guy that brought me a car to put a motor in it ran out of money and wouldn't pay me. So I stripped it down and cut it up and scrapped it titleless. Hmmmmm maybe I could...

  7. Thank you everyone, I do appreciate the help. This is not for my own personal car. I am helping a friend on a very tight budget to get his car back to a driving point. He would much rather build a stout stroker with a turbo but for now how just wants to be able to drive the car.
  8. Dear Scott, I have a question regaurding stock LS1 connecting rods. Since they are fracture cap rods, can they be reused? I need to take a stock rod and piston from one engine and use it in another engine that spun a rod bearing. Any help on this subject is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  9. I wish I could have made this. I work so much that I couldn't get myself out of bed before this was over. Looks like you guys had a good time though.
  10. There was some one on this board and I cannot remember who you where, but you needed to borrow a set of LS1 headers to test fit for your Camaro (196?) I told you in a post that I would let you know when I pulled them off. Well they're off now and I wanted to let you know. I hope you see this. Thank you.
  11. I've never seen an engine from one of these cars before. I didn't know they were a flat opposed four. Looks complicated and cool. Good luck with the rest of your project. I'm sure it will be even more of a blast to drive.
  12. Here are pics of the piston's http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/DSC00011.jpg http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/DSC00010.jpg http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/DSC00012.jpg
  13. Are they currently apart and if so, do you have all the parts.
  14. Where are these located? I'm seriously interested.
  15. Ave an interested party. Are the heads ported stockers? If so, how ported are the (pocket, intake, full on, so on)
  16. C/R is 9.1 with stock heads. Bring on the boost baby!!!
  17. The short block is an SLP 402 low comp. Does anyone here know about this piston??
  18. When I have this problem at work I will let the vehicle set all day while spraying the PB several times and maybe even let it set over night. A few times I have used heat and ended up pulling the threads out of the bung. Just exercise caution and be patient with it :-)
  19. The number on the top of the piston is 101035 and cast into the bottom of the piston is XL387. I have pics on my phone but I'm having an issue uploading to photobucket. I will try to have the pics uploaded by tomorrow. I will happily email or text them to anyone who wishes.
  20. I have for sale or trade a set of Ross racing low compression piston's for a 402CID 6 liter stroker. They are brand new but have been installed. They are currently in the engine sitting on the stand. I will post pics later when I get home. I am wanting to sell them or trade them for a set of forged piston's for the same motor somewhere in 10-10.5 CR. I would like to get $400 for the set but I am willing to accept any RESONABLE offers. Thank you.
  21. She and he's a cutie. Good luck.
  22. The dead pool, what a great movie. If that guy would have had a 3.3 he would have been able to catch Clint. :lolguy:
