Call IPS. They pulled a 5.7 out of a TA for a 404 upgrade. Maybe the customer is selling the stock motor for a good price. Here's the link to the thread about the car being upgraded.

The last guy that brought me a car to put a motor in it ran out of money and wouldn't pay me. So I stripped it down and cut it up and scrapped it titleless. Hmmmmm maybe I could...
Spoke to Ross Racing today and found out some specs.

Thank you everyone, I do appreciate the help. This is not for my own personal car. I am helping a friend on a very tight budget to get his car back to a driving point. He would much rather build a stout stroker with a turbo but for now how just wants to be able to drive the car.
Dear Scott,
I have a question regaurding stock LS1 connecting rods. Since they are fracture cap rods, can they be reused? I need to take a stock rod and piston from one engine and use it in another engine that spun a rod bearing. Any help on this subject is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
There was some one on this board and I cannot remember who you where, but you needed to borrow a set of LS1 headers to test fit for your Camaro (196?) I told you in a post that I would let you know when I pulled them off. Well they're off now and I wanted to let you know. I hope you see this. Thank you.
I've never seen an engine from one of these cars before. I didn't know they were a flat opposed four. Looks complicated and cool. Good luck with the rest of your project. I'm sure it will be even more of a blast to drive.
Here are pics of the piston's

When I have this problem at work I will let the vehicle set all day while spraying the PB several times and maybe even let it set over night. A few times I have used heat and ended up pulling the threads out of the bung. Just exercise caution and be patient with it :-)
The number on the top of the piston is 101035 and cast into the bottom of the piston is XL387. I have pics on my phone but I'm having an issue uploading to photobucket. I will try to have the pics uploaded by tomorrow. I will happily email or text them to anyone who wishes.
I have for sale or trade a set of Ross racing low compression piston's for a 402CID 6 liter stroker. They are brand new but have been installed. They are currently in the engine sitting on the stand. I will post pics later when I get home. I am wanting to sell them or trade them for a set of forged piston's for the same motor somewhere in 10-10.5 CR. I would like to get $400 for the set but I am willing to accept any RESONABLE offers. Thank you.
