Just to make sure and in no way doubt you, do you have a #6 cyl misfire code? The reason I ask is most GM cars show a PO300 code for random multiple misfire.

I do have a set of both I could loan/ sell but try checking the EGR valve. When its running like poo tap on the valve mildly and see if it clears up. Also, check the EGR tubes. If they are leaking some they cause similar problems.

You know, it truely is sad about Trails. It is really a good track. The facility as a whole isn't terrible but its not good either. You know what I mean? We are fortunate to have a place like Trails to go and get our speed on that isn't a total hole in the ground and I think that plays a little into why Jim won't put the right effort forward into making a great place to go. I think Chris has a true passion for the place and maybe if he was the Operations Manager things would greatly improve.

If they are not lined up it would not physically hurt anything. Have you checked all of your grounds to make sure they are all ok?

I picked up a Pro S case yesterday. Should have it ready to go this weekend.

Who put the cam in? Perhaps the cam and crank gears are not line up correctly.

I have seen that also. When I had this 400 built I found the biggest 400 fail part was the second gear planetary. I bought a billet 1-2 planetary for mine and also a billet sprag and drum. Hopefully I will be ok.

I was there. I was one of "those guys" putting fluid down. I puked a diff on the starting line. 10.65 on a white Cutlass. I go every week.

Does any one here any any insight on the strange aluminum section? I dont want to sacrifice any strength for the 18lb loss, but if they as strong as the Pro S then I'm all about it.

That my friend was a stock Ford housing. I have every intention of running a Strange Pro S next week.

On those 5.0's you have to pull the spout connector to accuratly adjust timing. Have you tried this?

This happened in the second round very shortly after the other guy red lite. I told everyone the track was hooking better than usual last night and then this happened. I think I hurt it on the launch during the first round when the car went 10.65 with a 1.47 60'. On the launch for the second round it broke instantaniously of letting go of the transbrake. I have a 5500 stal converter but only launch at 4400 to "save" this from happening. Oh well this is going to happen cuz race car. :lolguy: The good part, looks like all I am going to need is the center housing, pinion support, pilot bearing and retainer. R & P look great and all bearing are good.
