  1. The TSB (I think) for the oil sludge fix was a bigger oil filter. I always used the Diesel filter in my 1.8T's.
  2. A friend owns this company http://www.bcggrp.com/ His model is doing accounting, payable-receivables for small businesses.
  3. I do short term financing on most of my vehicles. With interest rates being sub 3% I don't hesitate to borrow when I need to especially since my money has a greater return than that. Just my opinion. If you can buy a car and not have to give up things to pay for it (saving money, eating out, buying ammo) then you can probably afford it.
  4. Exactly. The bed will see some stuff but nothing that will be hitting the bed rails. I'm looking at flip down plate holders at the moment. The roll pan has a square provision to cut out for the hitch. I just need to find a good one. The spare is going away for sure. I hate seeing it sit under there. It's probably NEVER been off the truck.
  5. Correct. No more single stage crap. I've been looking at different hitch options. Interior is in good shape. I might replace the carpet and re-paint some of the interior trim.
  6. A little back story, this truck belonged to my best friend in high school. When he passed away in 01 his dad kept the truck and stored it in his garage. He would get it out now and then and drive it up and down the street but it mostly just sat in the corner. Last summer he decided to get rid of it so I picked it up for cheap. It's a 93, 351W with 89K miles. This is when I picked it up. Factory single stage paint + red = pink http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/pinkL1_zpsaqilvgzb.jpg http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/PinkL2_zpspu96lzyi.jpg Over the winter I flushed all the fluids and did a basic tune up. The stock (original) exhaust was rotting away so I did a header back side exit Bassani. For the most part the truck was rust free. The exception was both rear fenders. Had to cut out the metal and replace. Friend of mind does side work so I let him have the truck over the winter. http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/20AC8B31-6AA0-4BF0-9765-3F7105C5F0D4_zpsde39222z.jpg There was one dent in the bed, had that pulled also http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/AA9B2FB7-680C-45D3-861D-BF94E6F01413_zpswsjfipe7.jpg http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/DEE43F30-A041-4905-97DF-1394666A4D56_zps548yo3al.jpg http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/FED991F0-ECFE-4383-98D0-D2A02FAB5D26_zps4hjxmzhf.jpg This shows how faded the single stage paint was http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/BB54B05F-86E6-482A-B3D2-0A9079323C21_zpsl7p9ss1t.jpg Back together. It still needs cut and buffed one more time but it turned out really good. http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/A9185CC3-CE1B-4012-8592-60C28FB3FDA5_zpsfm0iidup.jpg http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/70E8F8E0-B4E3-4D1D-8F59-6D0A471CF23C_zpsqltnrt0h.jpg http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/974C2D86-7ED9-4B12-9941-B3D59979BF00_zpstq5rodsp.jpg Had the bed Rhino Lined on Friday http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/lightning/D89EB527-4E1B-4334-8A63-B4A71102ABC4_zpswvf5acwr.jpg The next step is to install a hitch, get the trans flushed then FIND A TRAILER. :gabe:
  7. I've been there once, not sure I was in that car though.
  8. One of my old cars popped up on my news feed day. It's from 2005-2006. VR6 Turbo GTI. http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/181BA065-A308-4F27-A42B-93343F3C4A37.png_zpsoo8muy5s.jpeg
  9. Me personally: http://cartype.com/pics/8021/full/audi_rs2_avant_95.jpg or http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/Forum%20pics/rs4hotness.jpg If there's not some sludge in the head I would be (pleasantly) surprised. Would make a good hauler if it's in good mechanical condition.
  10. EssFo

    My new ST

    HUGE improvement over the GXP!
  11. With a small amount of (good) instructor time you would not be doing this. My first time at Mid Ohio (ever on a road course, in the rain to boot) we didn't have people running off the track. We did however have some great instructors.
  12. If you mean the guys with balls enough to run a road course, you are correct. :gabe:
  13. I would NOT continue to run in that group. That's beyond amateur.
  14. To me it depends on what you have to deal with to drive it. A 1000 WHP car that has a light clutch, is semi quiet, doesn't overheat, get's more than 8 mpg would be OK in my book.
  15. Miller needs some action shots. http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af40/ted_kennedy/AutoX/Vett_KK_02_zpsr9dm8jyp.jpg
  16. You forgot to mention the AC that quit working. lol B6 S4 was the worst Audi I've ever owned. Don't buy one used. Most are in the mileage that need timing chains done. You have to pull the motor to do them and parts are $2k+. That's why they are so damn cheap.
  17. I would say cool story bro, but I would be lying.
  18. This Dave fellow sounds familiar.
  19. Good because the first AutoX is the 12th lol
  20. Installed the Xblue system today. I had it up and running in an hour or so. Configured the auto attendant, extensions, call routing etc. Call quality was great. If you still need assistance getting something setup let me know.
  21. What about something like Jive? http://jive.com/small-business/ This will be the first Xblue I've installed. It was picked before I got involved in the project so I don't have any good/bad opinions as of yet. The sound quality could be a lot of things unrelated to the hardware. Also I know Time Warner has options for business phones. Have you looked at them yet? This is what we run at the office. We have 40 + locations and 700+ phones. I don't know if they have a small business system that would fit your needs but it's easy to configure and manage.
  22. I'm getting ready to install one of these for a customer. It looks fairly easy to setup and isn't too expensive. Xblue Are there certain features you are looking for? VoIP is the way to go. Gives you lots of flexibility, you can port over your numbers, have an extension at home etc. The downside is you need a good internet connection. The nice thing about the system above is it can use both VoIP and standard phone lines.
