  4. I heard the defense minister told Kim he looked fat in those pants.
  5. Congrats. Always liked that color. Before they killed HPP there were a bunch of stories about folks with similar but different cars. Any chance of that happening? Anyone know a guy who writes articles for car magazines?
  6. Congrats. Awesome car. There is an all Oldsmobile show at the Anderson's every Sept.
  7. My dad gave me his 74 Oldsmobile 442. He bought it when he got back from Vietnam. It was lime green with white stripes. It needed too much work at the time and I needed money so I sold it. I've searched for it several times but can't find it. Wish I knew where it was.
  8. When I worked an enterprise we had all sorts of shit. My most hated cars were pt cruisers and the Kia Rio. You could rev the Rio to 5k, neutral drop it, and it still barely moved. Plus at 30k most of the Kia's and Hyundai's were trashed.
  9. I've been to Beachwood a few times as we appraise properties all over Cleve. Unfortunately I am usually in such a hurry I never go in anywhere but Malleys. Thanks for the suggestions.
  10. I am best man in a friends wedding this weekend. I want to take him out for drinks after the reversal dinner. I promised him no strip clubs and he doesn't want a party. Anyone know of some good bars in Beachwood? I want to stay as close to Chagrin Blvd and I-271 as possible. Thanks
  11. +1 I had been shooting for +\-15 years before I spent an afternoon with Joe. I shoot better now than I ever did before just by slowing down and focusing on the basics. Keep up the good work and hope to shoot with you again soon.
  12. It's been years since I've talked to Steve but he used to do it all. Just another option. God I miss my 442.
  13. I used to be in the olds club and Steve Hunkins ran Special Interest Auto off Myrtle Ave. He has a small resto shop and really know Olds.
  14. I replace the one on my wife's van as needed as she and my daughter have allergies. I think I did the one on my acura once in the last five years. At 150k miles it was pretty disgusting.
  15. Home Depot has mulch on sale 5 bags for $10 this weekend.
  16. Very cool car. Great article as always. Hope he took you for a ride in it.
  17. Awesome car! Between you and Cordell I am starting to like white cars again.
  18. I'm scared of black guns. Otherwise I would think it was awesome!
  19. My company has been doing tax appeal work for owners who know the values have already fallen substantially since the recession. This will cripple what's left but at least maybe they will get rid of the toxic algae and ecoli while they are at it. In other news, I know a good place to go mud bogging in a few years.
  20. Thanks for opening the hang out Doc. Had a great time.
  21. I would buy one but it doesn't go with my camo boots and hat. Badass car!
  22. Grant, I think you already said the most obvious is to use common sense. I always talk to someone over the phone first. Ask them questions about what you want to buy, their motivation for buying and selling etc. if you get a bad feeling or it seems fishy walk away. I acknowledge I have a CHL up front. That way regardless if I am buying or selling, the other party knows there is a good chance I am armed. Plus it lets a seller know you can pass a background check. If you end up meeting, examine everything to make sure it matches the description. If there are too many people there and you are uncomfortable, just leave. Even if you get this far you can still say no thank you and walk away. Use an open trunk or something to examine anything and obviously don't hold it up and waive it around. If you want to function test first ask to meet at a range. Bring your own gear and ammo. My expieriences have been about 50/50.
  23. There is intelligent life in our government but it's few and far between. Arguing to an agency that self-reviews and only asks for public feedback after they make a decision just points out how out of touch many agencies are. The public and vendors are not helping matters. This was in stock a few days ago. Now it's not and double the price. I bought this same item about 6 months ago for $50 shipped. http://www.gotammollc.com/LAKE-CITY-224-62-GRAIN-SS109-STEEL-CORE-BULLETS-p/lcs109pd.htm We will see what happens in a few weeks. I just hope more videos like this become available and more of our representatives fight this.
  24. My wife had lasik a few years ago. My insurance sucks so I ended up paying out of pocket. It think it was nearly $3k in total but they did 2 years same as cash. I think the doctors name was Beran (sp?). The biggest issues she had was headaches and low grade nausea for the first few months. They went away but it was rough for her for a while. But she was legally blind before and now has 20/20. Hopefully it will stay that way.
