  1. If you want to leave it a straight-line car, leave the '60 in it, sell the T56, use that money from the T56 sale to go towards a Moser 9". Keep the LQ9 around to rebuild once you get the 9" in it and when your current engine decides to let loose.
  2. I've got a few parts off of my 1JZ that I will no longer need, don't know if I'll get much interest here, but worth a try. I'll take offers on these parts, I'm running out of room and need them gone. 6- 1JZGTE/2JZGTE coil packs with brackets. No cracks, no damage, $110 1-1JZGTE/2JZGTE ignitor. Perfect condition, no damage to it at all. $100 1- 1JZGTE/2JZGTE MAP sensor. Again, perfect condition. Only flaw is a little scuff or some paint on the label with the part number. Other than that it is a known good sensor. $100 1- Blitz FMIC for a Mk3 Supra with a JZ engine on stock twins. May or may not bolt right up to a 2JZ, but minimal modifications should get it there. Has an HKS bov, Unsure of authenticity. http://i.imgur.com/BHPZ6TP.jpg http://i.imgur.com/gJ3HUIX.jpg http://i.imgur.com/loCcLZe.jpg http://i.imgur.com/O4c0Lub.jpg
  3. Finally got around to pulling the intake manifold off and getting the harness out. It put up a huge fight but finally came off. I also got around to removing the downpipe on the stock twins which proved to be fun, 10+ years of rust combined with a lot of heat up and cool down cycles provided a nice upper body workout. Also found out why my #3 plug always looked really weird compared to the others, the O-Ring was lopsided, and blocking part of the injector, I'm sure that made a big issue with the spray pattern, also found out my power steering pump is in much worse shape than I originally thought, as well as my valve stem seals. I planned on replacing all of those items, but if it hadnt broken in the first place I wouldn't even have known they were this bad. I could see oil sitting on top of my intake valves that were closed, and it wasnt just a drop or two on them. Ill get some pictures up. Also while I took my fuel system apart, the rubber return line from the regulator was dry rotting and cracked beyond any realm of being safe. I always smelled a hint of gas in the engine bay after it had been running but attributed it to possibly injectors leaking slightly after shut off, or it just running that rich all the time.
  4. Maybe it's just an Mk3 owner thing? :lolguy:
  5. Heard the owner ran into further health issues. Best wishes to them on a speedy recovery both health wise and financially.
  6. I'm sure if this was your wife or child then you wouldn't be "waiting" on their death. But you seem to be the most pessimistic asshole on CR, so this comes as no surprise. If you want to take your chip on your shoulder out on someone, do it to whoever is causing it. Not someone you've never met.
  7. It may or may not, but he obviously enjoys it. What is life if it is spent doing something you don't enjoy? I'd rather die happy doing something I love, than die doing something I despised and filled with hate.
  8. Aside from seeing animals that poweful up close, and this guy having balls of steel, this is a badass video. Gives you a sweet look into a land not many people get to see. This may stem from growing up with lion king as well, but it definitely shows the potential of the newer gopro's.
  9. Third if neither take it I need a plinker bad.
  10. In for side by side. This means ill pay extra and not cry Anthony and crew. Inb4 tears are shed at new price
  11. It was 280PS (279hp) starting in 1989, lining up with the RB26DETT gaining popularity in the R32 GT-R chassis. The RB26 of the time put out 320PS. I believe Honda was the first company to break the agreement and claimed 300hp in October '05 on the Honda Legend/Acura RL release.
  12. Pissed me off hearing the idiots repeating themselves and each other time after time. Who gives a shit if he got it on video, shut your ass up.
  13. Possibly NSFW for language. Great quality on these trucks... I laughed too hard at this.
  14. So they put an evo body on an STi drivetrain. Much amaze.
  15. I think their model is more based towards having to go across town to go to an appointment, drop a resume off, etc. They seem to be doing well in my eyes aside from the tickets I see on the things all the time.
  16. And most rentals you have to be older then 18-22. You are paying a little for the ease of being able to walk a block or two to use a car. To get a car you have to get a ride there, or call ahead and wait a few hours to get it dropped off.
  17. You sure? I coulda swore I saw a dude drive up, plug it in then walk away. Maybe he thought it was free too :lolguy:
  18. This is almost worse than Easton having 2 chargers for "EcoCars" right next to the entrances in the parking garages. They get a free charge AND a short walk. :dumb:
  19. But on a serious note, I don't see how they will last up to the abuse. The wheels are 3-lug. That in itself is lulzworthy. College students tend to tear shit up, this is a program really designed for people who don't want/can't afford a car. I mean it is a bargain when you think of it. Living on campus $20/ semester for a parking pass that gets you on the street, or $100/year that gets you good parking near your apt. if you are lucky. If you park on the street bet on these 1. At least 1 mirror getting knocked off 2. At least getting something valuable stolen if you don't bring it in when you get out of your car. 3. Getting a window busted 4. Hit and run. Happens all the time. 5. Getting backed into on a semi-weekly basis. 6. Car pissed/shit/puked on. So for $.38 a minute or whatever it actually is, is kind of a good deal to me. I debated on signing up for one just because the fee was waived, but then realized I'm 6'6" and they don't have a sunroof that I can open so I could actually drive it. TL;DR- For the hipster types that lurk campus, it is a great deal to them since they don't want to bike in sub-zero temps to the state likker store 7 blocks north to get their 6 back of Pabst.
  20. I see 4 of these a day on my street daily. Each one of them I want to hit at 50+mph because they take up the few remaining spots. Also :dumb: at the author for saying parking spots are plentiful. Let's see if (s)he can find a parking spot on campus on a Th-Sunday night.
