  1. I'll be there but may be in the car hauler, think I'm goin to 'git something afterwards..
  2. We do wheel and tire jobs and alignment jobs for everyone up and down the block, no one has anywhere near the equipment and experience we do. We can definitely get you guys taken care of.
  3. Congrats on the pickup. Had a '02 WS6 T/A in their pewter coloring with a grey interior, absolutely loved the car and rather wish I had kept it. Those noses are lonnng though and with the Ram air hood parking against curbs was always a bit scary.
  4. Nice progress sir, you aren't much more than a week away from getting to play in the dirt again!
  5. Looks like warm weather is here to stay for the year so time to get those wheel and tire packages installed, suspension upgrades buttoned up, and your alignment set up! Who better to get your baby tracking tight and true than Lucore Automotive?! Having already serviced a number of the CRs finest rides we wanted to make a post so that everyone else knows we are here to provide quality setups for CR members. Unhappy with your alignment you got at a free tire store? Or have a ride that no one else will touch? Custom alignment specs for a specific style of racing you are looking for? Or just tossing the summer wheels back on and want to make sure everything is straight and true? We can handle it! You won't find a better shop with better equipment and experience anywhere in central Ohio. From Subarus and Fords, to Dodges BMWs and Mercedes we can handle it all. Interested in getting your ride up on our rack and done right? Get in touch!
  6. Spiffy! Should have recorded him getting in and out of it though
  7. Glad to help get this portion of the project done! From the specs we dialed you in for it should be quite a fun ride to sling through the corners. Let me know if there's anything else we can help with down the road!
  8. We have actually been kicking around an idea of doing 80s cars. Big hair, spandex, terrible color selections... paired with some fantastically 80s cars. THAT we will probably wait until my Merkur is ready though
  9. Once I make it through yet another one of these events this weekend I'll start fleshing out what the "newer" rides on will look like.
  10. For those of you who are Facebookers here's a link to some of what we have been producing https://www.facebook.com/BlueCollarBettys/
  11. Well what better day to post about photo shoots than now that it's nice and sunny out? As many of you are aware we host photoshoots at the garage every few months, mostly focusing on old school and classic rides shot in a pinup style. Our next shoot is this coming weekend and with 65+ weather all week it will definitely be a good one. So, who has an old ride, 40s-70s, they would like to get involved in this? I had a few spots in the garage available as well as a few outside. Also, tentatively scheduled for April 16th doing a modern shoot with newer rides and more of the Carshow/F&F style. So keep that in mind as well going into next month! Anyone interested?
  12. The wheels I just bought for this thing, so no you can't have 'em! Have a nice set of sticky tires on the way for them, currently sitting on a very worn set of Conti's. I DO have a set of Black and Chrome 18" BBS wheels that I might let go with a brand new set of tires on them... but they won't be cheap On the alignment shoot me a PM on what you are looking to have done and I'll get you a quote worked up. Brakes, new sway bars, mounts, tie rod ends, ball joints, etc etc all on order!
  13. THE Forester Specialist shop! Engine and trans should be coming out Monday-Tuesday and we'll keep on working
  14. Not building this one to sell, bought it right and building it as a shop truck/race car. The body and under carriage is in decent enough shape but yea, regardless of what kinds of new shiny stuff you put on it this thing has still done a quarter of a million miles. Interior was in terrible shape so pulled the seat rails and tossed those. If we WANT to put a full interior back in it, there's a perfectly good interior sitting in our XT part out in the back yard. However, this thing is definitely going back together in a less than stock fashion. Already have some goodies sitting around to put in it, and have more ordered and on the way
  15. Hmmm hopefully the new Subaru Track Rat is ready by the fun event so we can shake some cobwebs loose!
  16. Some shots of her as she sits now with the OZ wheels, coil overs, tinting, and some general external detailing done. Obviously pre-headlights being restored. http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b452/LucoreRacing/20160227_100905_zpsxgzdxs8r.jpg http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b452/LucoreRacing/20160227_100934_zpsxh3fh92p.jpg And a gratuitous group shot that shows the family all together.
  17. Well now that the other two XTs are sold and gone, time to build another one so off to the interwebs! Crawling through our usual searching spots we stumbled upon a high mileage silver 2004 XS like many of the others we have had but this one has 3 pedals! So, from all the pictures seems like it's a decent starting point we process payment load up the truck and trailer and go fetch. Upon face to face inspection, has some baked on stickers that probably have been there the full decade, dings dents and scratches one would expect from 250,000 miles, and a worn out suspension. Nothing that can't be overcome, and even better it runs and drove up onto the trailer! Missing half of its exhaust but hey, we won't be keeping that anyways. Loaded up and back to the shop! Once unloaded and inside out of the Ohio weather that has decided to be winter again, closer inspection begins. Torn front bumper cover. No big deal. Worn/stained interior. Gross, but no big deal. Sloppy shifter linkage and worn suspension. Not a problem, all being replaced. Check engine light. Cat/02 sensor and an emissions code. Again exhaust isn't going to be around long, and the fact that there wasn't a gas cap even on car should explain that code. Wednesday night wrench night arrives and onto the lift it goes. Stock suspension on these things are pretty stout but after this many miles it's seen better days, so off come the stock struts and springs and on go a set of our coilovers. While she's up we swap on our new set of OZ Racing bronze wheels to work on stance/setup and start dialing in the alignment. Not bad for the fact we still have many other worn out parts, but it's a start. Send her off to get tint applied to all the glass surfaces for a bit of an attitude enhancement, then many hours spent heating/scraping/removing stickers and she's coming along. As the interior was absolutely disgusting, instead of cleaning it we just decided to toss it. So, out come the rear bench and front drivers seat. As you can see, this thing had a well used life before coming to us. It has no idea what it's future will hold. http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b452/LucoreRacing/20160303_132832_zpsjivqhaib.jpg http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b452/LucoreRacing/20160303_132828_zpswnlivtl8.jpg http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b452/LucoreRacing/20160303_132814_zpsghtluetq.jpg http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b452/LucoreRacing/20160303_132812_zpsdsy967dv.jpg http://i1045.photobucket.com/albums/b452/LucoreRacing/20160303_132823_zpsbmzsgvqv.jpg
  18. Well, she's sold and gone. On to the next one!
  19. If you go to the Polaris store on Gemini their GM is David and he is absolutely a top notch guy, I've known him and worked with him for years. Very upstanding guy, he will absolutely take care of you. Derek I'm very well aware of how the business works, it's all about getting touches and presenting the customer with more of a full picture of their car/truck. Definitely nothing that's unethical or improper. The "free alignments" and such are just their type of loss leader, like Best Buy selling door busters and such to drive people in the door, or roofing companies with "free estimates". All the same thing, get the item in from you with no cost to the customer for a value added service, and while you are there inspect and advise.
  20. Congrats on all the progress, definitely looking forward to seeing it all come together. Hopefully all went smoothly with the arms now that the new bushings are in, definitely let us know anything else you may need help with. MBRP definitely a great way to go on any of the modern Fords, we sell them on trucks and mustangs very very often. Great sound especially for the price.
  21. Sold and gone. By by shop truck, you will be missed!
  22. Car is sold and gone, lock it up!
  23. Very noticeable truck, very expensive wheel/tire/suspension setup so hopefully it's found before parts start coming off.
