  1. So do I, unfortunately mine saw an unfortunate ending with a "guest driver" and a tree
  2. Umm not for all of us! My Mustang was infinitely more simple to launch than the Stealth is. With the 'stang you'll definitely have to be more in tune with what your rear end is telling you. Street tires will essentially never hook out of hole with a decent level of power coming on quickly, but you'll have fun and make mustang sounds P.S. looks like I'll be attending with the Stealth though not sure how many passes I want to put down in it. We'll see! P.P.S. also bringing a 2015 Mini 3cyl turbo with a couple minor mods
  3. Still up in the air on when/if I can make it to this, have a ton of work to get done on other peoples racecars before I get to have fun Is anyone planning to stay for the Test and Tune session that goes into the evening?
  4. Welcome back from the land of sunshine and rain storms! Vettes are always welcome, there are certainly more than a few of ya'll around here.
  5. Looks like already making some quick progress. Putting it back together just as a "driver" definitely makes life quite a bit less painful than a full resto. She'll be fun though!
  6. DTM? I think their main tech does bikes, not sure if its Harley's or not.
  7. Shoehorn your tall ass into the new track rat and come down the Cars and Coffee in the morning!
  8. I don't think Mad Hatter does Stainless do they? And if you are coming from Cleveland you would need to come down the night before and get there crazy early in the morning in order to actually get it done.
  9. Welcome. Never did much of the drifting drug myself, but I appreciate the work and money it takes to enjoy the hobby.
  10. Yep, came down the the flu and got sick on his private plane, shortly there after no more Prince.
  11. Sometimes it's the right tool for the job. Occasionally the things that happen on the garage floor and out in the shop are things customers DON'T need to see! Glad to hear you got it installed, on to the next piece!
  12. More money than sense? Or is this a "Shop expense"? 5 motors... ouch
  13. You are buying sticker + at the point or not buying at all. And you are easily going to break the 60k mark. These things aren't cheap but damn are they fast and sexy!
  14. Optioned out the ATS-Vs seem to be reaching for some very impressive price tags, but damn are they sexy. Were I be in a situation where I needed/wanted a 4 door fast car that would be on the very top of my list.
  15. Amazing turn out to C&C and afterwards at the lube. Even being "prepared" they got a little over run, but for a first outing not bad! Very enjoyable day. Does our C&C have an Instagram to post to/tag?
  16. This is why it's nice to have a car group with all sorts of experience and rides. Anything I miss with will go down to bare bones and put back together again, just like to know where the problem areas truly are. Power wise, what have you done with yours? Knowing myself there's little to no chance I'll leave it stock so I need to be prepared down that path.
  17. Well in the long run, you moved from the "Boy Racer" car into definitely a "Adult Toy" car so sounds like a good step to me. The enjoyment level will be higher, you have a car that's clearly already very well sorted, and can get out from under a costly painful nightmare. Sorry to see the BRZ, I remember when you first got that thing and how excited you were for it. But no one could have seen the trouble this relationship was going to bring so I think a divorce is final. And at least you can sell off her parts unlike most breakups!
  18. Planned on ARP head studs and head gasket upgrades anyways, typically anything we touch turbo or not gets that done. So that's not a huge deal. Turbo seems in decent shape but that's always something to consider down the road. Definitely going to have to look into the targa top seals if its going to be something that sees rain, or could just run it with no top at all times as a convertible replacement! Generally speaking, what sorts of massive pains have you found with these in the past? The appeal of having another 400+ HP turbo 90s car IS kind of making my car collector side start perking up, even though I have literally no need for this thing..
  19. IF we all agree on something would love to get some CR swag in play as well Flag or no Flag!
  20. The QS&L turned out to be quite a showing as well, we had easily 200 cars at the Cars and Coffee and I would say 40 or so made the trek up to Polaris? Their staff got a tiny bit overwhelmed but otherwise it was definitely a great day to be a car person.
  21. I'm sure there's one or two of out there who have necessary skills and experience to find an A/C leak
  22. Pontiac has all parts needed, engine and trans are almost finished and should be going back in tomorrow afternoon. The volvo I already have all the suspension, brakes, carbs, and electronics stuff I need to get IT back running around... I WILL agree with you that these seem to be a bit more white trash favored than most cars I have found myself owning, so the image certainly detracts from the value to me. But.. they seem to be a pretty solid platform to building some solid reliable power if I need another one of those..
  23. Well as far as road track type stuff, I already have a car or two I can do that with. This was DEFINITELY not a planned purchase hence why I'm on here asking for advice. Aside from the known head gasket issue, what have people that actually owned/ran these things experienced commonly?
