Our (Lucore) standard shop rate is $96 however we do offer a discount on our labor to all CR members which gets you down to $85, below what most comparable shops will offer. We will also install customer provided parts "most" of the time which can help save you some money there as well. If you don't provide the parts I'll do my best on part pricing for everyone to make it as economic as possible.

Well my little Ford powered euro-shit can had better do well this season or it may end up with a viking style send off. With all the time money energy spent on the thing I better at least win a damn t-shirt somewhere
-
That's what I like to hear! Thanks for the referral

Top Gear - Chris Harris and Sabine Schmitz new hosts
99StockGT replied to zeitgeist57's topic in Passing Lane
Wait wait so what's going to happen to all the British jokes when you now have a German presenter? What's next a Frenchman?! -
I didn't make it to a UFO event last year, largely because my Ford powered ride wasn't running. Although yes I know you don't have to have a Ford, I would prefer to bring that one. Its 65 degrees out why aren't we doing racing right now?!

1) Yea that Rich guy is quite the talker, never shuts up 2) Still waiting on the damn pistons for that Forester so it can go into way over built for what you want mode. As for getting a quote on work definitely reach out if you would like to know what you would be looking at cost wise through Lucore. Our CR shop rate is $85/hour and are willing to work with customer supplied parts if you wish to go that direction.

Hey I would say most of us have one thing or another we have spent far too much time, energy, money on that didn't make sense to others. So more power to you for knowing what YOURS is. Welcome aboard, looking forward to meeting you face to face!
-
Jeff why do I get the feeling you just went from a complete shit show to a kid in a candy store?
-
Exactly why I made this thread my friend, no better place to meet/hash out/question fellow people interested in the same thing. The Merkur will get its AutoX on FINALLY this coming season after 3 damn years!!!!!!! Not sure about doing cone chasing with the Pontiac, I don't think 3 point turns are encouraged in parking lot races The Stealth is umm.. getting some upgrades done this winter to be a bit more track ready. Blowing a rear brake hard line while doing 150+ coming down the back stretch was a tad intense, so there will a couple modifications/repairs going on while its "winter" There's a good chance the 65 C10 will do some AutoXing this next season though since it's finally nearing completion. And well, as long as I don't sell the Forester that will be out as well... So yes lots of racecar things next year!!

Just a point of correction here, that was the Miss Universe Pageant not the Miss America Pageant ... which is why you saw flags from all over the world and names barely able to be spoken by slapstick american comedians. JUST sayin'
-
Or Lucore Automotive in Plain City, also a CR Sponsor...and I hear some of their folks are pretty active on here
-
Welcome to the CR boards, nice to see all this new blood coming aboard! Fellow C&C'r here typically in a white Forester XT don't be shy, come say Hi! So dare I ask, what's with the Mazda fetish?

Roll it into your home loan as an "improvement" you can make it a yard ornament or a "deck"

Just kicking around the convo of racing with a co-worker and the subject of racing next year came up but it looks like calendars aren't really being set up quite yet however... anyone starting to make their arrangements? With winter coming (eventually) how about a little arm chair racing and "planning" Personally, AutoX is going to be a focus for me hopefully make it through some SCCA track events in the Merkur and see where that takes me. The Pontiac should be ready to make some big loud america noises up and down some 1/4 strips once the big motor gets finished in a month or so. And last but not least I'm absolutely going to make it to http://autointerests.com/events/812 Once again. One of the best experiences I've ever had behind a wheel, great people super helpful and the feeling of going all out in your own ride on a track you have been watching since you were a kid... priceless. So, who's got an inside track on what's going to be fun and where the cool kids will be in 2016?
-
Well then buy a new house with a new garage to put it in
-
If you buy it we can work out a winter storage solution for you.

Welcome back Jeff! You are just down the street from me once again, I'll have to swing out here next week and say Hi. Good to see you back in the aftermarket business and good luck with the venture! Edit: Looks like all the fun stuff of Columbus is getting concentrated up here in the NW corner now
-
Still sitting here waiting for someone to want it. Someone needs it... gimme a reasonable offer and get this thing out of here. Or refer a friend and get a sales spiff!
-
Might have to sneak down there next week and take a looksie at it They are just down the street from us. Sounds like you have wild ride on the way hope you enjoy it.

Welcome to CR! You'll certainly be in a whole different world from Sac, though with how this winter is going who knows. As far as the Scoobie/Snowboarding goes Mad River Mt and Snowtrails are you two best bets but it's nothing like what you are used to being close to real mountains. Sorry to say but that's a huge downer for those of us who enjoy sliding down earthen mounds. Central Ohio Subarus Facebook group is a good place to network/socialize as well if you haven't found that yet. Enjoy your trip cross country, I've done that drive a few times towing things and it can be quite exciting!

Welcome to CR. There's a pretty solid community in cental ohio around those cars you'll certainly get much love. Those sneaky sneaky kits Fabb does are an excellent way to make some very serious power without showing of off. Hope you get to enjoy it in the spring!

Having owned many power adder cars myself, worked on and sold parts for others, and generally been around them since the early 90s I sooooo second this comment. From the guy who has been working on his Merkur XR4Ti for 3 years....
-
Welcome aboard! CR has a pretty solid showing at Cars and Coffee every weekend though I think many of our ilk slept in this past weekend despite the amazing weather Short bearded dude here usually in a Lucore Automotive shirt feel free to say Hi! And the world needs more nice IS back on the road.
-
Spec out all the parts you want, double check, ask around, check again, then put aside twice as much money as you think it will take and clear a comfortable area of your garage for it to sit in.

Hmmm what's this I hear about a QJet god? I happen to know someone in the process of building a very angry Pontiac that will need his QJet rebuilt and set Thanks for the heads up, working these things is a dying art.
