  2. I'm thinking Rave? Big screen lots of parking, not many p0lice I've been looking forward to this movie for quite a while, glad to hear it's getting some positive press. The world needs more car movies.
  3. Though I think most of us have mid level expectations for the movie it DOES seem to co-star some pretty awesome cars so...anyone planning on attending a showing on Friday night? Looks like the weather is going to back into the 50s so should be on our side. I doubt this film will have anywhere near the effect that Fast and Furious did on the automotive world but any film involving gorgeous cars doing what they were built to do deserves SOME support right? Anyone up for kicking tires in the parking lot and catching a flick?
  4. My 99 Mustang GT I drove as an all year DD for almost 10 years and seldom had a problem. Never once used winter tires, most of that time was with Conti Extreme contacts or something similar. When you DO break loose you just have to have the brains/guts to work with the slide and you are fine. However the 4Runner is much more useful in the snow
  5. Aren't old Chevys a blast? That's something you just can't do with a modern guy very often. The other nice thing about making multiple trips is you get to enjoy the sound of those pipes! Twice when you drove away people made comments about how the V sounds.
  6. Welcome Sir. Hopefully after your 6th visit today you got everything you need! If not...you know where to find me.
  7. Changing high end oil more often? Sounds like my kind of customer!
  8. Good to hear! We have been focusing a lot of energy on taking better care of our customers not just clerking the counter. Nice to know the other side of the city is doing it right as well
  9. Shoot me a PM if you want to verify on hand of the product and I can work up a price quote for you as well as pull the product.
  10. Get a subscription like the rest of us? One of many car mags I picked up from the local high school sales teams that venture around in the fall..
  11. Still unable to see the image Whatever the douchbaggery I hope no one was hurt
  12. Already have some swag for this starting to show up, looks like several of our shops are stepping up once again with shirts/hats/hoodies...also some very nice items from our vendors. It's a warm Saturday morning and I'm getting excited!
  13. Lol sorry, bad me posting a thread and not monitoring it lastnight. Yes I'm at the Powell store which is right off of 23 near Home Depot. I ran the Bethel Rd. location last year at this time so that would be part of the confusion. The car show will still be at the Bethel Rd. store due to the amount of parking available, were I to host such a thing at the 23 location my entire lot would be taken up by show cars with no room for people to park who want to spend money!
  14. On a nice warm sunshiny day who's starting to get the Car Care itch!? Long hard winter means many of us have been putting off some car & truck tasks so it's time to start catching up. Need chemicals? Brakes? Suspension? We can be your one stop shop! Have something special you are looking for? Give me a call, shoot me a PM, I'll work you up some super special CR pricing.
  15. My project sounds very similar to yours, a few different people over the years getting their hands on a car and throwing in their two cents. We all have heard the horror stories of buying someone elses "Project"...a few of us have experienced it. Can't wait to see it finished and running right!

  17. Maaaaybe Just haven't gotten them together for a group photo yet. Spent about 20 hours this weekend under the newest addition to the team replacing rear axels, shocks, springs, swaybars... German built fords rust just as much as American built fords...so needless to say after almost 30 years there are a few frozen bolts.

  19. Nice seeing some people out. Unfortunately missed yhr first few hours due to car trouble. Looking forward to another one once the weather warms up.
  20. Omw finally in the mustang!
  21. I love that you are doing this right with good product. Looks like she's coming together very well, still on your time table for the first track day?
  22. Is there a C&C this weekend? Wouldn't mind coming out before the snow fall yet again..jealous of all you weekend off people!
  23. All good builds start with some homework. Also managed to pick up a full factory service manual. (Not pictured here) http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc415/cbusphotoaustin/Dragon/IMAG0151.jpg After draining all the fluids and taking her around the block she decided to die and not recrank. After much cursing and standing around in the cold we discovered the problem. http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc415/cbusphotoaustin/Dragon/IMAG0167.jpg http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc415/cbusphotoaustin/Dragon/IMAG0166.jpg The process begins with figuring out what the previous owners have done, and fixing their redneck work. Wiring is a mess, veaks in vacuum lines, cracked headers, improper timing, etc...
