  3. Just extract them.... It's time consuming.. But it can be done with a good carbide bit...which are about $20-30 each
  4. Can't really find much on tuning the old zetec foci... only thing I've found is sct tuner...thing. Hptuners just replied with "not a supported vehicle" after I emailed support with the appropriate files when I got a "validate checksum error" So is sct the only option for the old focus???? I don't need a synonym tune on it, just turn the CEL off and adjust for the cai, long tube and other little mods. To make it a little more....fun to drive.

  6. They wouldn't touch my S10.... told me ALL they could do was a stock style Y-pipe with a single Cat. to a 1 in 2 out flowmaster. 0/10 would not suggest for custom work.

I mean yeah the serial port is important for some things.... but does your stuff require a serial port or is it USB? +1 on the SSD not only is it shock proof, it will also speed the computer up a lot.

  15. Ghetto cai, short tube headers and catless duals. With the RTT flashed i t was getting around 12ltft and 8stft Without RTT I get around 0 to 2 ltft and -3 to 2stft at idle

  17. 896 pcm... I think... The original that came with the 2000 LR4 when I bought it.. It's been fine since I reflashed and let it run for a couple minutes. On the non modded file. But I'll upload the files when I get home..

  19. Just opened both files for comparison and everything is set the same.
  20. Yup Stock GM PCM. wasn't really setting it up for anything other than just playing around with it since it only activates in Park & Neutral
  21. Got bored and decided to flash the 1 bar MAF W/ RTT to my hoopty. Used the same tune file the truck is currently running. Flashed the new file and it would not start without pressing the throttle to the "Flood clear" threshold once it started if I held the throttle above 1,000 rpm it would run fine. setting the idle speed in VCM scanner to 760rpm it would stay running. but if I turned off the idle control it would idle down and die. blipping the throttle or restarting the engine would cause it to not idle again. Reflashed the original tune file and had the same issue once I got the ECT up to around 170 it was just fine.. I don't claim to know what I'm doing in HPT but this has me really confused. but I started it while I was setting the laptop up. Started up just fine and idled like normal. but started freaking out when I flashed the new OS. Using OS 12205612 -> 1283011 Did I just miss something in the setup?

I don't like fuel cut off....because when I set it up on my S10 for the "abuse limiter" at 3,500 activate 3,450 resume it would NOT hold the rpm like I wanted and at WOT it was reaching 5,000rpm....Violently shaking the whole truck...but still revved past the set limit. I dunno maybe I had a leaking injector or something... IMO the safest and best way to get launch control is deffinitly Electronic throttle body.. Super easy to set it up...and safe because it literally just keep the throttle blade from opening all the way at a set rpm.
  23. Upartit for sure. Don't usually have older cars though, but the cars there are of much better quality than most of pick n pull.
