  1. Quoted from a GM of a Ford dealer from another forum:

This isn't a crazy good, too good to be true, deal. Sorry to burst your guys' bubble, it's just not.

The dealer is making the same money off of this package as he would be if he was just selling a stock one.

A base GT automatic MSRP is $34,395. Invoice is $32,309.68. There's a $750 rebate, and $1,005 in hold back. Brings it down to $30,554.68. A Phase II supercharger installed at cost is $8,300. Thus, they have $38,854.68 in it..making $1,100.

I'd do these all day for guys lol

    There ya have it

Then why aren't they doing it?

  2. probably going to go with an auto. damn i wish they had a better auto in these things.

It's not a DCT but there is nothing wrong with the autos.

It takes a little bit to understand how the modes work but once you do you can lock it into paddle only mode for twisties, or let it shift itself for better straight line times.

  3. Yeah BMR Cradle Lockout is the same thing right? And it's $200 all day long everywhere. Still pissed I can't use it because vert.

A little different from the lockout which just supports the stock bushings.

This is equivalent to Hoblicks setup where the diff and cradle bushings are cut out then replaced.

  4. So there was a good post about this on Reddit.

Basically this area has so many ruins that you could draw a smiley face or whatever you wanted and have points end up on ruins.

Also the reported height would be taller than any of the Egyptian pyramids, in an area that has been heavily studied. It's highly unlikely it has been missed up to this point, chances are it smaller but just on a hill. It has also not been really confirmed that it has never been recorded before.

He could have got the same media response by "building" a clock.

  5. After reading here and on their website my first thought is what supporting mods would still need to be added?

Totally depends on what you plan to do with the car.

For a street car that will occasionally do a roll race it would be fine without any thing else done.

If you're going to launch it on the drag strip with sticky tires you're going to need parts to solve the wheel hop and half shafts.

I would want the oil pump gears changed but lots of people are fine without doing them. The stock brakes and rear end are fine in either case.

  6. Pretty good idea, I guess time will tell how many they actually sell. Is it really just that simple to get 727 with the Roush stage 2 kit on a 5.0? Any immediate supporting mods needed to make it last?

They have been doing this for months, the news cycle just picked it up. They have posted pictures of pallets of superchargers arriving at their shop. They are basically out the door as fast as they can get the installs done.

  7. Turn valves - I've been thinking about this for my Civic a while now given how much CLE-CBus commuting I do these days. Nice to know they're CR-endorsed :) One question... how tightly is it recommended to turn these suckers, given that the intent is to never take it back off?

They come with a pretty thick gasket. you basically turn it until tight then just enough more to align the handle up out of the way.

  8. I've heard about those but I have no idea how they work as far as permanently replacing the bolt, so I'm not sure it would fix the leak

I think you'd have to get one with a larger thread size and tap the hole out, wouldn't be much help. They are nice though in general, just no help here.

This event was a ton of fun last year. Cruising through Hocking Hills, an AutoX, and some great food.

The Saturday only deal is hard to beat. $30 for breakfast, AutoX, and a great dinner at Hocking Hills Dining Lodge.

Too bad you can only put the windows down with the key fob, if you could roll them up it would help you out here.

  11. I prefer my current BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S

Those are what I just put on the Mustang stock wheels for the rally this summer. I haven't driven on them in snow yet. They did just fine in the rain and I was happy with them (for an A/S tire) at the AutoX last week.
