  1. my question is this: what does "support the troops" or "support the military" even mean? it seems like such a vague statement. what does one do to support the troops? is it a way of saying "support our policy"?
  2. it shouldnt be too much of a problem i wouldnt think. i cant say for sure though... i feel like if the vehicle is driveable, and is decently safe looking, you should be ok. as long as stuff isnt falling off of it lol. post a pic if you can. the toyota that i had inspected was beat to hell and back. they didn't really care that much. he said i probably would want to fix the trunk instead of using bungee cords. i ended up buying hood pins on ebay for like 10 bucks and using those haha. make sure you read that PDF i posted earlier. that gives you the information on what you need to document/have receipts for etc.
  3. if theres one thing we know its beat to shit vehicles
  4. both these look pretty nice. http://www.ridersdiscount.com/street-gear/boots-men/82962.php http://www.ridersdiscount.com/street-gear/boots-men/82686.php ive never worn these tourmasters, but i have other gear from them and its quality: http://www.ridersdiscount.com/street-gear/boots-men/127948.php
  5. the girl behind the desk at the BMV has probably never inspected a vehicle. all she knows is giving eye tests and filling out forms lol. the OSHP does the inspection. i had a POS toyota that got rear ended and salvaged. when i went to the inspection the trunk was held shut with bungee cords. i pretty much just put a new bumper on and was good to go. it has to be legal for highway use, and thats about it. so that means headlights, tail lights, turn signal, horn. tires not bald, parts not falling off, etc. receipts are the most important thing, especially for major parts that you replace. if you dont have receipts, or the OSHP thinks its stolen they will impound it. for the OP, here is a link to a PDF that has all the information about the inspection process http://statepatrol.ohio.gov/doc/inspection_brochure.pdf it says "The purpose of this inspection is to verify the ownership of all parts and to review all required documentation. The inspection is not intended to certify the vehicle’s safety, or the quality of workmanship" OP should find his nearest inspection post and call them FINDLAY. . . . . . . . . . 6. sidi way boots. they aren't all racer flashy, but they are a quality boot for sure.
  7. http://bmv.ohio.gov/faq_vehicle_titling.stm#tog My insurance company has salvaged my vehicle, but I am keeping it and repairing it for my use. What steps do I need to follow? First apply for a salvage title in your name changing the status of your title from regular to salvage. (NOTE: The vehicle cannot be operated on the road while evidenced on a salvage title.) Upon completion of the repairs, contact the closest Highway Patrol Inspection Station and make an appointment to have a salvage inspection done (There is a $50 fee.). Take any receipts for repairs and new parts with you to the inspection. After the vehicle has successfully completed the inspection, take Form HP106 and your salvage title and proceed to any Title Office and apply for a "rebuilt salvage" title. After all of these steps have been completed, the vehicle is now operable for use on any road. its not a safety inspection, so you dont have to make it perfect. the inspection is to make sure you didnt use parts from stolen cars on your car. make sure you keep receipts for EVERYTHING you buy for it. if you do some work yourself, document it. take pictures, write stuff down etc. yes you can sell it after that. but its not going to be worth as much as a car that has a clear title at all. depending on the make/model/condition it could be half the value of it. if your car is already a real piece of shit, and worth only say $500 bucks... its not going to matter as much lol. most ppl arent going to want to buy a salvage/rebuilt title car. but some will... you could put it on CL and im sure someone would buy it.
  8. from their website: How do I find out if the used car I bought has LoJack? Ask your car dealer or the previous owner if the vehicle is equipped with LoJack. If there is a LoJack in your car, you will need to contact LoJack Customer Service at 1-(800)-4-LOJACK (1-800-456-5225) to arrange for an inspection appointment. See owners page for more information. i know that you can't transfer them from one vehicle to another. i.e. if you sell this bike in the future, you can't transfer the lojack to your new bike. but i'm pretty sure that whoever buys your bike will be able to register the lojack in their name if they want.
  9. hmm the way i was reading it, i thought the book was called "impressions and observations" does this book actually say these things claimed?
  10. lol yeah thats what i thought when i read it too... republicans are great people and all the democrats are assholes. try to find this "impressions and observations" book on amazon... also, there is this: Philip H. Melanson's history of the Secret Service makes no mention of protective agents experiencing the problems ascribed to either Bill or Hillary Clinton. The only such issue discussed therein was that President Clinton's penchant for spontaneity and interacting with the public often made the job difficult for his Secret Service detail: Clinton needed the crowds — and drove his Secret Service bodyguards crazy. On the campaign trail, he would order one unscheduled stop after another. He would walk every inch of long rope lines, determined to shake each and every hand stretched out to him. The spontaneity proved nervewracking and never ended once he was elected. Clinton always resisted the idea that he had to live in the Secret Service bubble. His friend, Arkansas State Police Captain Buddy Young, who was Clinton's security chief for a decade in his home state, said, "I don't think he likes all this Secret Service business. It's just such a circus." Until the Lewinsky scandal isolated Clinton from the public appearances he relished, his agents came to realize that they had to be ready for him veering into crowds, restaurants, and other public places anytime, anywhere. His security was always a fluid proposition for his detail. As Melanson also noted, Secret Service agents would have considered it a serious breach of professionalism for one of their number to have publicly disclosed this sort of personal information about their charges: The Service's unwritten code of silence dictates that agents keep their observations to themselves. Today, many agents still do not want to accept that anyone among the Clintons' protective details broke the long-understood rule: "There's no way we would have talked about it. There's an agency culture, an unwritten code. That was a pretty tough time for us [because people accused us of breaking the code]."

  17. I think drugs have done some good things for us. I really do. And if you don't believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a favor. Go home tonight. Take all your albums, all your tapes and all your CDs and burn them. 'Cause you know what, the musicians that made all that great music that's enhanced your lives throughout the years were rrreal fucking high on drugs. The Beatles were so fucking high they let Ringo sing a few tunes.
