  1. thats not really what its saying. you can read the decision for all the information. basically it boils down to this: "The Government physically occupied private property for the purpose of obtaining information” when it attached a GPS device to a private vehicle and used it to gather information. This was a search that the government could not conduct without a valid warrant. interestingly enough. they DID have a warrant that said they could attach the device in the district of columbia, within 10 days of the issue of the warrant. however they attached the device on the 11th day, and did it in maryland, not in DC....

  4. be careful. i doubt this fight is over, and they will probably try to bring it back. and id bet dollars to donuts they will try to market it as "protecting children from online child porn" or some other bullshit... that way you can't oppose it. if you do, then that means you are for child porn. if you arent with us you're against us right?
  5. except the people who own the proxy server. if they are in the US, then they can easily be subpoenaed. many in the US will fold just from a letter from attorneys. some will require a subpoena. try to find one based in ukraine or something. if you really want to get jiggy with the anonymity, look into TOR
  6. swizz beatz is the CEO of megaupload. the more you know.....
  7. unfortunately, cops are not the best people to ask for legal advice or about the intricacies of the law. they are not always well versed in the INTERPRETATION or APPLICATION of the law in court. its not intentional really, they just don't know. i mean, they didn't go to law school or anything lol. ask your local prosecutor, or consult an attorney for legal advice you can rely on. example: i had one cop tell me open carry was against the law. another told me that it was legal, but you'd still get arrested for it
  8. i have an e-trex too. its pretty cool. used it mostly for geocaching. i think it was like 100 bucks, and that was like 4 or 5 years ago. they probably have a new model out now though. its pretty portable. about the size of an old nokia cell phone. it does not have maps or anything, but you can track your location and stuff. it does have a nice feature for hiking, you can set it to mark the path youve been taking. basically, it marks a waypoint like every 20 feet, so if you go into the woods and get lost, you can follow your path back out. it doesnt have a lot of crazy features or anything, but for basic stuff, waypoints, compass etc, it does the trick.

  10. why would pedophiles like hooters? do they have little kids working in there or something?

  13. which one did you work at? we usually go to the one in centerville.
  14. do you have a link or anything for this? i've been looking online, but i have not been able to find a public statement on his stance.
  15. the law says "spring blade knives" but i always thought a spring blade knife was one where the blade popped out the top of the handle when you flipped a switch. also, the law says that its illegal to "Manufacture, possess for sale, sell, or furnish to any person other than a law enforcement agency for authorized use in police work, " possess for sale... so that seems to mean that i can legally own one, as long as i dont sell it, or carry it as a weapon.
  16. if these things are so safe, then why wont the TSA let the agents wear geiger counters? also, when you get the pat down, remember to ask the agent to change their gloves.
  17. yup. in ohio, its all about INTENT. if you carry something with the INTENT of using it for self defense, then its a weapon. that could be anything. a bat, a screwdriver or even a brick. so if they ask "why do you have that knife (or screwdriver or brick) and you say "to defend myself" then it just became a weapon. if its concealed, it just became a concealed weapon. your CHL obviously does not cover knives or blunt objects.
  18. yeah, i think what they should normally do is look up the records and contact everyone who used the ATM within whatever time period... although each bank will have a different procedure. if one is worried it def. wouldnt hurt to get a new card/pin.
  19. interesting. my buddy used the one in NA he said that and the bank called him and told him that it was likely his account was compromised... i guess i should have said the bank SHOULD contact you, rather than WILL lol.
  20. IMO the vast majority of people dont have the equipment or ability to hunt what they need to survive, and they wouldnt know what to do with it once they caught it anyway.
