  1. I've had I think two CRKT knives that I used for EDC. I've since lost both because the spring clips are cheap and bent and fell out of my pocket. They were merely OK knives, but I much preferred my Spiderco knife.
  2. yes. but these early models will be 2 years of glory and then boat anchors.

And even then; swappable batteries - remember that the battery is the single most expensive part of the car. By far more expensive than all the electronics, the body, the engines....

Tesla really needs lease program. you DONT want to buy one of these used.

New Model S cars have an infinite motor and battery warranty. Its yet to be seen if used/CPO gets the same warranty.

  3. This is one of the most frivolous law suits I've ever heard of. First off, I'm disappointed that Red Bull settled. They should have seen this through. Secondly, I'm disappointed in all of you for collecting when you've not been wronged by Red Bull.
  4. I've got some ram out of laptops that I've upgraded laying around:

    8GB (2x4GB) CL11 1.35v Samsung SODIMM DDR3L-1600 $50

    4GB (1x4GB) CL11 1.5v Hynix 204pin SODIMM DDR3-1600 $20

    I've also got a Centrino Wireless-N 2230 half-mini PCI-E card. Features Bluetooth 4.0LE $10

Intel's 4th gen Core series (Haswell) require DDR3L 1.35v RAM.

I might have some DDR2 SODIMMS laying around too.

  5. While filming their Argentina Top Gear special, Everyone's favorite Jezza purchased a Porsche 928 with the license plate "H982 FKL". If you squint juuuuust right it could be a jab at Argentina over 1982's Falklands conflict. Clarkson denies the allegations and insists that this was a coincidence, and that they did not have a custom plate fitted to the car.

Check out these links for more info, photos, and a shoddy video.

Personally, I find it surprising that the Argentinian populous would be so sensitive that an obscure license plate could trigger a riot. Publicity stunt to drum up this Season premier perhaps?

  6. ....or, you could have just spent $7, ha!

I am going to pick one of those beasts up this weekend. Looks great.

Lola, how much do you think a generic bin and air filter cost? Also mine uses a real filter, so zero lint or dust makes it into the air I breathe. And I enjoy DIY projects.

  7. I made my own interior dryer vent last winter. I bought a cheap plastic storage bin and a reasonable quality furnace filter. I used duct tape to seal them together and cut a hole in the plastic bin for the round ducting. It works great, and adds a noticeable amount of heat and moisture to the air.
