  1. I'm an electrician. I work for a company called Powers Electric outve Sunbury. We do generators on a regular basis. My boss and I have also done work for others on CR.

Oh really? What would it cost to have a transfer box and generator plug in wired in to our existing home?

  2. Yes, there are ~400 employees from the MM division @ the Covington campus that will be looking for new roles in Fidelity, but most of them are equipment operators or work in material handling, and won't necessarily be looking for IT work.  Being in IT, I assume that you have the experience, education, and certifications to move at least laterally to a new IT position.

This really is a sad thing.  There are a lot more people that will be affected than just the ~400 Fidelity employees.

  3. I was there also, although i got lucky, pre ordered my tickets online, clicked on pickerington, but some how it took me some theater like new jersey, never realized it until i got to the theater lol. Still got the last ticket though.

Good movie overall. I will have to agree about the one liners though.

Theater was PACKED! Gotta love $5 Tuesdays. Free popcorn too!

  4. There were a few groan worthy moments (Prime's speeches and "Transformium" -super groan), and a few good one liners ("I was expecting a giant car"), but the Dinobots being there helped a lot. There was quite a bit of action, and the dinobots obviously kicked much ass.

I liked it! I'll watch it again once the BR rips leak out!

  5. Ah. Ma. Gawd. PA is awesome. Played a 57 minute match today, and barely took the W. For about 30 of those 57 minutes there was a pretty even back and forth naval and orbital tug-o-war. I was finally able to take orbit, and I started cranking out Orbital Anchors (a space station in synchronous-orbit that blasts the surface). My anchors weakened their navy enough to allow me to build up mine, and park it near their coastline. While my battle ships and frigates beat their base like a drum, I decided to move my Commander off world to start a moon base. While my commander was en-route my navy found and targeted the enemy commander. Boom, Game over, I win. But the enemy had already built Halley V engines on one of the moons, and initiated the burn seconds before their commander died. They dropped one of the planet's moons on my main base. An intense game with a narrow victory.

My navy having wiped out most of the base targets the enemy commander (center of pic) http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o149/loaded321/Planetary%20Annihilation/th_PA3.jpg

The enemy commander has exploded (you can see my navy at the visible top of the planet, about to be crushed by a moon), meanwhile my commander is safe and sound orbiting the 2nd moon in the background. http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o149/loaded321/Planetary%20Annihilation/th_PA2.jpg

  6. That's def not enough power. That E5700 doesn't have the IGP on die; it's integrated into the north bridge chip set on the motherboard. I'm running a i7-4700mq with a GT750m, and I still get the occasional stuttering.

You'll need a discrete card for sure to render a few hundred units onscreen at once.

Looks like the lowest GPU supported is the HD2000 from low-end Sandy Bridge CPUs. Motherboard integrated graphics are down-right unsupported: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/4/558749824471305841/#c558746745844268058

(But I wouldn't waste my time trying to run this on a HD2000 GPU)

  7. I did buy Planetary Annhiliation, and it is AWESOME!

I'm hoping the final release has some single player campaign, because getting my clock cleaned online will get old quick. So, I played a little vs the AI yesterday to get the hang of it. It can be a lot of work to manage massive armies across an entire system! But it's so satisfying to place a space station above an enemy base and watch it bombard it from orbit.

  8. Anyone ever play Planetary Annihilation? Looks like the galactic war version of Kerbal Space program meets Red Alert.

Pa is done by the guys who did total anhiliation sick game, borderlands 2 is fun

Same people behind Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander 1. Two of the best RTS games ever.

  9. Spoke too soon. Borderlands 2 and all DLC went on sale. I purchased all 5 head hunter packs for $4.90

Planetary Annihilation looks awesome. I think I'll be picking that up.

Edit: Fall of Cybertron is an immensely satisfying game for anyone who grew up with transformers. But, given the game's age, I'm surprised it's going for $15 during a steam sale.

  10. Thank you guys. I am not sure I can get windows 7 on it with only 1GB of RAM? I don't plan on using this. This was bought with the intention of letting the kids use it for youtube or whatever else. The screen is far too small for me to every enjoy using something like this.

I am going to go over those links now and see if I can get it to work. I am hoping this HDD is still good.

Then replace the ram with a 2-4GB SODIMM and use windows 8.1 (with Classic Shell). Its a little more resource friendly. A key can be purchased from the Reddit software swap for $10.

  11. We've got a little over that amount that I mow with a 60" Cub cadet lawn tractor. Take my advice: Get something a bit more commercial. I hate this friggin MTD POS, it's the slowest mower on the planet, cuts like crap, and it takes forrrrever to get our lawn mowed. I suspect a better mower will be our next big purchase.
  12. So no BRZ at C&C tomorrow, (or next week due to a race). It's still a paperweight in my garage without a tune. I don't know what's taking a week to get a canned tune to me, but so far, I've got nothing despite reassurances. Needless to say, I'm pissed.

The wheels are here and ready to go on the car. But I can't roll the car out of the garage to put them on since I won't be able to get it back in without the engine. So they look nice against the wall....

Exercise some restraint; stay out of boost!
