    did you take alot of RS emblems and cut them to say SS? i had a red 92' when i was in high school that i did that too.
  7. will not work. in 99 you could get the old body truck with the 5.7L or the new body with the LS engine. the reason it says 1999-2002 GM V8 or 1999-2003 LS1/LS6 engines is because the express van did not get the LS engine untill 2003.

    its 7.25/qt last time i checked. its a syn. fluid and works with all GM (not the T56's though) transmissions.

  14. i would say no since they are way different speeds and types of tracks.
  15. well from his other posts it looks like he did a supercharger swap. what he needs to do now is a leak down test, there is a good chance the rings are shot. we have had 3 in the shop in the last year and a half with mods (stage 3 pulley or more) with the heavy carbon build up. one had oil in the intake it was so bad. and they all came in for a misfire. 2 of them were 06's and one was an 07'
  16. is this a stage 3 pulley? the black you see if carbon build up from oil blow by and the PVC. no way to get rid of it 100%
  17. brakes are over rated, they only slow you down.
  18. if you go anything over stage 3 then you starting hurting youself. stage 3R will out flow stock cubes and hurt you since you loose velocity.

  20. scott, stage 3 ported heads are the max i would do, that still maybe more than your stock cubes can pull through though. for your set up though i think the stage 2 IPS heads would fit the bill nicely. match that up with a LS6 intake if you can (or port your LS1) and you should have a decent flowing setup and good port velocity to get the max air into the cylinders and make good power across the board. mine are stage 2, i think i still have the flow chart for them if you want to see it.
  21. sets a check engine light. may run sluggish depending on how far its off, may not run.
