    dan i have some SBC cast aluminum Chevrolet valve covers i'll make a pretty good deal on since i'll never have a use for them again.

  6. also the last ford i pulled with the drive shaft in but out of gear (manual trans) still added miles to the cluster. not sure if it will do that to you or not.

    i guess so, my car doesn't fit in that class since it weighs so much. the class has a min weight of 1800lbs if that tells you anything about the cars that run it lol.

    only certin kinds you can use, has to be a low or no silica (sp?) or it will cause you problems.
  14. good thing i have a LS6 and can walk a nova around a track, keyword around.
  15. rebuild heads cam injectors sweetness underdrive pulley yet another alignment washed it it needs waxed though.
  16. the pressure depends on what the cam card calls for. if you have too much pressure you can wipe a cam, not enough you can float valves.
  17. my dad used to teach police driving at rickenbacker, he said that it sucks to drive on now. way back it used to be real nice i remember but they quit going because its bad.

    this year i'm running E Mod with beerman and SSM when i go to other events. Linn, i forgot to say that i didn't want over .560 lift so i can run the stock springs. it gets expensive changing out aftermarket springs a few times a year lol. that was the whole reason for a small cam. i would like to do a FAST and a TB in the future though, that should close hp and tq wise to where you used to be.

    this is right and wrong at the same time. the 2001 Z cam is that. in 2002-2004 they went with .550/.550 with 204/218. thats how they went from the 385 (my car) to 405. so i'm close to a stock 02-04' cam than my 01' cam. i figured there was about 40 more with a bigger cam, if i was drag racing then thats what i would be looking for. road track and autocross i'm looking for something easy on the valve train and low torque with useable power.

    stock 04' Z cam was .550/.550 204/218 116LS, the only difference in my cam is .551/.547 and 112LS.

    i know but for the racing i do this is useable power. if i wanted big power i would have went into the .600 lift range with way more duration and less lobe seperation.
