I know there are a few member's who play drop-in's and are in league's hopefully someone can help me out. There was a VERY questionable call.... well, lets say 'non call' in our game tonight that absolutly should've been called but wasnt. I understand everyone's human and there's a good chance it wasnt seen but this was a repeated offense that wasnt called on. I know its just a rec league and I really dont take this too seriously but when the officiating is seriously questionable is there any course of action to be taken? Again, Im not gonna lose sleep over it but if my league fee's are paying for this ref then I expect a bit more effort on their part.

REally?! Im with nationwide and with the latest debacle that involved my step dad running onto a curb in my jetta my Nationwide agent said I would lose my safe driver discount if i made a claim (which i am, the estimate was about 2400$). You'd be surprised just how much harder playing stick and puck hockey is than just skating. We always had guys who knew how to roller blade, who did it every weekend in the park and figured they could just play roller hockey. no way. But you should definitly try it out, its a blast.

Composite sticks aren't nearly as expensive as they use to be when you played. I picked up my TPS composite for 30$ from a friend and it was brand new. I did notice Play it Again had some sort of non-wood sticks for cheap but they're selection is limited. As much as Im enjoying ice i do miss roller hockey.

Even with a healthy Beanie and more experienced Pryor USC will hand us our collective asses. What worries me is that there is a CHANCE both USC and OSU could be one loss teams which would mean we would meet in the Rose Bowl. That would suck. I say a chance because Penn State man-handled OSU (Oak) and we have yet to play them or a competitive Wisconsin or Mich State. While the Big Ten may not be competitive nationaly they do have some very talented teams.

Funny you mention this. I have a good friend on my team that goes at least twice a week. He's got the 'scoop' on which drop in's attract what kinds of player's I THINK he said the 11am dublin one attract's mostly older C/D league players. There's alot of doctors that swing by on their lunch break. Thursday at easton its upper C and B types. I know he said the early morning one's is the hardest with the most talent. What are you looking to play against? easy to start out then work your way up? I can ask him which he prefer's. If you free saturday nights I know a guy that has a small league thats a mix of D and C. Not super competitive but its fun none the less.
