  1. Wonder what kind of car he'll drive? Ford GT maybe?
  2. yeah, what was the point of this post? Not so sure if I get it. If he wants to part out his car then big deal?
  3. I use to live right behind spoonz pub off sawmill. knew all the regular's and my sister was a bartender. I'd get trashed and walk out the back door to get home.
  4. Good for you man, at least your seeing progress. For me it was simply not eating fast food 2-3 times a day and walk a mile a day. Thats how I started, then started running etc...Now I run 2 miles a day. I dont think i eat "great" now, but I cook alot more thanks to mom teaching me and I try different stuff, like fish. I think for alot of people it's not even getting on a strict diet, just eating a bit smarter and walking/jogging/doing ANYTHING physical to get off the couch. in addition, just found out im probably going to be seeing my ex next month. I wonder if I can lose 20 more lbs in 30 days? oh well guess I'll find out.
  5. So Im guessing this is pretty much dead now? I don't mind but this did give me the kick in the ass I needed. I lost 26lbs since January. 266 down to 240 and still dropping. Working out everyday, and eating 'somewhat' definitly made the difference. If I was crazy I would've forced myself to run 4 miles a day and eat nothing but wheat thins and granola. but never the less Im still happy with the results. Im aiming for 220 by June, and 200-205 by August at least. Its amazing what excercise and NOT eating fast food will do for you. I sleep better, more energetic, clothes fit better and im wearing stuff I haven't worn ina while (my closet was FULL of nice clothes i just couldn't fit into anymore), my hockey game has improved DRASTICALLY I can now play a 5-7 min shift and not be exhausted (normal shifts should be 2-3 minutes), and im a hell of alot faster than i was when i started playing in Oct. Over all a good experience for me, what about you guys? did you stick with it? Was there an official "winner"?
  6. If you dont mind me asking, how much did you get it for?
  7. wow, surprised I missed this. Happy bday john.
  8. A leakdown/compression test will only show if there is something that could be a catastrophic failure to the motor itself. Most likely if/when you do breakdown it will be something small like a fuel pump, or some sort of accessory (power steering, HVAC, etc...) I think these are more likely to fail after a long period of time than your actual motor. I'd say sell the eclipse and the van and buy a slighly used suburban/tahoe/trailblazer. In the end would'nt you save on your insurance as well? Im guessing your not making payments on these cars?
  9. plus one for these skycap guys. Last time I flew I didn't understand who/what he was but he was helping me out (this was a few years ago) afterwards he hands me my papers and says what gate im at, took care of everything for me, i threw him a 10$ for making my life easier. You probably wont even have to look for one, this guy saw that I was a kid and didn't know where to go and approached me, definitly worth the money you'll spend.
  10. Congratulations, and good for you. Have fun at your new job.
  11. That's just it. It's a Harley trying to be a sport bike. I dont have a bike but even I know my first bike will not be a buell. I've heard stories of having to redline the bike just to keep up with a group of sport bikes who are cruising. A warranty on a bike isn't even all that important. Think of it, if you buy a bike in Columbus or a similar area where the weather is not always garanteed riding weather your not going to be screwed for transportation if it breaks. Most likely you will just drive your car and either wait until you have the funds to fix it or take it to a private shop/friend to get it fixed.
  12. I watched some news about him last night. Analysts said he will most likely be fired and off syndicated terrestrial radio but sattelite will pick him up simply because this whole ordeal made him more popular. I thought the same too putty, that his whole career down the drain for something so small and stupid. Then I realized that this guy isn't exactly poor, and he'll probably get work elsewhere, though making less money. Time to retire? Looks like he's about to die anyway.
  13. So you moved to a different city with no job, no housing, and no foreseeable furture? That takes balls man, good to hear your making it.
  14. I dont know if Sharpton actually heard it, but he got wind of it anyway. It's Imus' audience that makes it horrible. He regularly had presidential candidates on his program. None of the radio I listen to have that kind of pull. It was a stupid joke that will not only give him a 2 week suspension but he might lose his job over it. What a dumbass. And it wasn't even that funny.
  15. WOW, almost sounds like a cult. So you know what he's thinking now? Since he apprently REALLY doesn't WANT to leave Verizon. He'll come around, I'm sure of it.
  16. World of Warcraft..... or is it Weapons of Warcraft.... Crap I dont know. It's an E-drug is what it is.

Our hockey team has a Bye, so I'd be willing to go out. At least for a bit, its a school night and all.
  18. "well we ruined this one... lets go find another one and do the same thing" "BRILLIANT" The amount of money it would take to take on a project of this size would be HUGE. Then again, Im sure people would rather spend the money/time to invest in this than actually make environmental changes that would hinder our everyday lives. All we have to do is propose a way to actually Make Money doing space travel and private industry will figure it out.
  19. I've had plenty of problem's with my verizon phone but not with the actual service billing/reception etc... My bill is dead on every month, no surprises. I use my phone ALOT but its mostly used for texting.
  20. spoken for the truth Nitrousbird. I knew a friend who had a friend hiring at the bank I currently work at. Honestly I didn't know anything about the particular field but I'm a good conversationalist and I tend to ease tense situation's with humor (even if I'm the only person tense in said situation). Now that I've not only gotten comfortable but excelled at my current position and have been there over a year I think it may be time to update my resume'. I'm not hunting but I know what it feel's like to be out of a job suddenly and not prepared not to mention out of work for an extended period of time, IT SUCKS. Though one thing that bother's me is that, I know I can be good maybe even great in the field that I'm in but do I WANT to be is the question? It may pay the bill's but will I be happy in it in 5-10 years? (the field that is, not my position) Eh who knows? Oh, and sorry for the thread highjack Martelle. Have you thought of doing any side work for an extremely discounted/free rate just to get your name/work out there? I dont know how your field is so maybe its simply not possible but hell it would make a good impression on a future boss.
